I really think the whole video is an homage to the fake moon landing conspiracy theory Alex has talked about before, which holds that Stanley Kubrick filmed the moon landing on a set before NASA ever reached the moon. Bearded Alex is the Kubrick figure, secretly directing everyone in a clandestine location. Looking at the model hotel like the characters in The Shining did. Conspiracy theorists believe Kubrick hid hints that he filmed the moon landing in that film too, the model hotel being one of them, and Alex mentioned the model maze being inspiration for his cardboard construction.
Clean shaven Alex is the performer recruited to act as the face of TBH&C. That’s why he’s secreted away to the filming location and keeps looking over his shoulder. Bearded Alex looks on and directs all his “performers.”
