Community Quarantine
Tumblr media
Though Bacoor is at Extreme Enhanced Community Quarantine due to COVID-19, we won't stop moving. Maximizing my indoor trainer, cycling never stops.
Praying for His light to shine upon us and may we be an extension of God's love to others.
Don't worry, He got this.

#BudolRide with Xinyx Friends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Tara Bulalo sa Tagaytay?" Yan yan yan! I was inviited to join my officemates in Xinyx to join their ride to Tagaytay. They were very excited and I really encouraged them a lot but I feel like I encourage them to much that somehow "Nabudol ko sila." Two road bikes: me and WJ, and two mountain bikes: Florg and JR was the composition of the group. Long uphill climbs of Silang was really a challenge but more of extra challenge to them. But all paid out with enjoyment and the well known Tagaytay's Bulalo.

Bike to Work Day 1:
Bike Crash
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Excited on my first day of #BikeToWork, I woke up early and over packed because I have no clue of how should I wash up or fix myself after bike commuting for about 12km.
Really not sure of the time of travel, I biked on my normal pace during recreational rides, about 25 kph. Before reaching Casimiro, I ran to some man hole which are not properly sealed and my tires went in. With a really dashy speed on that time, my bike and I bounced up and down. I forced myself to regain control and not fall of the bike and I successfully made it. But my chain was stuck in some part of the sprockets. Some people around there helped me fixed it. Kudos to them. But I didn't realized, my right foot was bleeding a lot, I applied first aid quite wrongly then continue to bike to work. Unable to walk straightly, bleeding continued that I asked for medical attention. It took me almost a month to be able to walk properly and ride a bike again but still not in full power.

Bike to Church
Tumblr media
I started bike commuting again and tried to ride from home to CCF Imus. It was not that far than I expected. After our D Group, I went to Starbucks Vermosa to grab some Strawberries & Cream because of someone who made me crave for it.
PS: My tire popped along Bacoor City Hall on the way home.

Fireworks!

Just went out to ride to Alabang and stayed at Molito. I didn't expect to capture this beautiful fireworks display in celebration of Chinese New Year.

Last Sunset of the Decade
Tumblr media
Watching the beautiful sunset in the last day of the decade at Samonte Park in Cavite City. I also released my worries to God and surrendered to Him the coming year 2020.

Riding in the cool breeze of the days of December, I went to the Kawit Symphony of Lights, an annual attraction in the Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite. My Christmas blues are brightened by the beautiful lights dancing with the sound of Christmas carols.

Tagaytay Ride
Tumblr media
Tagaytay is one of the famous bike destinations in Cavite. With it's long uphill, don't expect that it will be an easy ride. There are many routes to reach this city which will give you a variety of ways for your bike rides. Feel the cold breeze with the view of Taal as you ride the hilly place of Tagaytay.

UKBAS 2019
Tumblr media
Ugnayan ng Kapulisan Barangay at Siklista (UKBAS) is an annual fun ride event of the City of Bacoor open for all cyclists. Now on it's third year, about 4,000 cyclists from Bacoor and it's nearby cities and municaplities joined the event held on September 15, 2019. .
A fun experience even though I flew solo that day. Though it's a fun ride, some cyclists are in race mode and attacked after the u-turn in Daang-Hari road going to Aniban. Honestly, I turned on my race mode also and gladly maked it to the front group a few kilometers before the event ended.
See you next year mga kapadyak!

Kaybiang Tunnel!
Tumblr media
After a few attempts and conflicts in schedule, the Kaybiang Tunnel Ride pushed through. Originally, where only planning to have a ride to Maragondon, but the wheel never stops and brought us to Kaybiang Tunnel.
The uphill was really a hellish experience. I really suffered a lot from the foot of the slope to the top. Thus, it was all worth it. The long descent of the "magnetic hill" effect and the way home was a very thriling experience. The speed really feels well. This experience taught me to embrace the winds and ride them well. A very long thrilling fun free wheel.
A very challenging ride. This was my first 100km ride, my first long climb, and my first long descent.

New Bike Shoes Day!
Tumblr media
Cleats Set Ready! But I'm not.
After work, I went to Cristy's Bike Shop at Buendia. I was targeting to buy a Shimano RP3 road shoes but sadly, no size available for me. They offered a higher model, Shimano RP5, and it caught me off guard. So new road shoes for me.
Hope to master using this soon.
Need more practicing using cleats shoes. Hurted myself for the first time.

Bike to Work
Tumblr media
Took a solo ride to Palazzo Verde but still got a lot more juice left so went straight to Filinvest Alabang.
Bike to work is really possible. Not even broke a sweat figuratively. I would really enjoy bike to work but given no shower room and the nature of a tiring stressful job, I could use the bus trip home as rest rather than pedalling my way home.

Solo Ride Holiday!

“Everyday new day has a different shape to it. You just roll with it.” (Ben Zobrist)
Waking up with a beautiful sunshine, it’s a good day to get on the saddle. I took my bike for a spin to go to Daang Reyna Bike Tiangge. Rode along with Sir Johnny G, uncle of the famous basketball player, Johnny Abarrientos. I took the path to Imus to close the loop. (Photo taken at Palazzo Verde, Daang Reyna, August 12, 2019)
