I know it's not a legal requirement. But most clinics have a form like this as a "cover my ass" in the case of a litigious spouse. Even if they cannot win a suit it is still expensive and time consuming to fight it.

It's not a breach of anything to require it. At no point in "You need to get your wife to sign off on this" is it implied they are going to inform or ask her directly. They simply reuse to do the procedure without it.

It's not even hard to find examples of feminists, even mainstream feminist leaders, being openly man hating. Feminist movements have actively suppressed studies, and worked to prevent further studies of domestic abuse in which men were victims.

200 studies since the 1970's collected that show near parity in rates of victimization in IPV.

Mainstream feminist leader straight up saying women are never abusive to men.

There is also Chanty Binx a.k.a. Big Red who showed up to an event about men committing suicide, screaming at men to shut the fuck up about suicide, and to cry her a river.

When people who tried to hold a conference on these issues, men falling behind in education, rising suicide rates, etc. Every hotel that agreed to host them was harassed and sent death and bomb threats until finally intimidated into cancelling.

When Dr. Farrell, who at one point was a beloved feminist, was speaking on suicide and such at University of Toronto hosted event, feminists showed up en masse to protest disrupt, pull fire alarms, and call people who wanted answers as to why their best friend killed themselves scumbags.

The simple answer is it doesn't. Make up, shaving, etc are all devices to hide signs of aging. Humans, men and women when looking to reproduce are attracted to more youthful features. So both men and women do what they can to retain that look.

Women like smooth faces, or at most a bit of scruff. 30 year old men don't have hairless chests, and those actors aren't shaving them to appeal to the men in the audience. Men go to great lengths to fight or hide hair loss.

The point for me in being against makeup and shaving is understanding that humans, female humans, are supposed to look like this.

Adult female humans are supposed to have hair in the armpits, face, belly, crotch, butt, arms, and legs. How can being hairy make someone “less of a woman” when nature made us hairy?

It's because women have a hormonal "switch". You flip that switch and ovulation pauses. That switch is called pregnancy. Hormonal BC tricks the body into thinking it is pregnant.

Men do not have a natural state where they stop producing semen. You can't send in a hormone to place their bodies into a state that doesn't exist.

I can feel that. I kind of go back and forth though.

Most of the time I want to live forever. It's not really a fear of dying, it's more I want to see the next thing. I want the next chapter of the story, I want the next technological breakthrough, I want to see how far we go.

Other times I dread the next moment. I wonder aloud why no one has ended me yet. I used to joke I'd be dead by 30 because I was certain I'd piss off the wrong person long before then. I'll never try to end it myself, but I do occasionally wonder why no one else has tried...recently.
