I’m real excited for Hiveswap to release in January, but I’m really really hoping it comes out near the beginning of the month cus from 1/24 onward I’ma be absorbed in Kingdom Hearts for a good month

i’m not gonna be angry until we get the epilogue because since we know that’s coming it’s not technically over

but, if the epilogue doesn’t have a shit ton of dialog tying everything neatly together i’m gonna be mad

one of the huge draws to homestuck for me was that despite it being way too convoluted and confusing, it always somehow made sense (kinda) in the eventually. things got explained eventually

but this left so much left unexplained. i’m not angry yet because i think if the epilogue does a good job of explaining, then ending the main plot on a beautiful animation like that is 100% fine

Aw man I’m so hype. In just over two weeks Homestuck will finally be over. I started reading this comic way back in 2011. Half of that time the comic wasn’t updating lmao, but it’s been an exciting ride nonetheless.

I made a post earlier this year when that first trailer came out for Hiveswap saying that I was not excited for the game. 

Today’s news changed that completely around. This game was supposed to launch in summer 2014. Then it was supposed to come out in 2015. Now here we are with 2016 less than a week away with no real confirmation that Hiveswap is even coming out within the next year, although I certainly believe it will. 

The art direction is amazing now. Ever since we got that first screenshot of Joey, who we only knew then as the flashlight girl, I personally disliked how it looked. All the concept art and stuff looked amazing, but the 3D renders just didn’t look right to me. When we started seeing screenshots from the game, and then that dreaded trailer came out, I honestly thought the game looked ugly. It was like a low budget PS2 game, and in this day and age that just isn’t really acceptable, indie or not. What we have now looks exactly how a Homestuck video game should look like. While we still have no idea of how good the story or game’s mechanics will be, a great looking game is still a lot more exciting than a bad looking one.

As for story, the points Hussie makes about the delays allowing them to keep working on the story has me convinced that this will be extremely well written. I can’t really see how it can’t be. I mean, Hussie has created a stellar webcomic that he kinda just made up as he went. This is now something that was allowed to be written and fleshed out over time without having to stick to any plot points outside of the universe’s established lore. There’s a ton of potential there.

Undertale is my personal favorite game this year and has certainly proved that Toby Fox is an extremely talented individual. I’m very, very, very excited to see that Toby seems to be somewhat more involved with Hiveswap other than just being a music composer. Whatever creative input Toby has given towards the game, I’m sure Hussie is probably going to make sure it’s implemented into the game after seeing how immensely successful Undertale has become.

My only worry is that we still don’t know much about the game functions. It’s an adventure game. That’s what we know. There are a lot of ways to have an adventure game work though, and it has to be great for the game to be received well. I really hope we’ll see more of the game in the coming month. I’d be really glad if What Pumpkin made a short publicly available demo to show it off.

Also, the comic might start updating in the next month or so and come to an end on 4/13! YAAAY

Alright. I’m an outsider to this situation, but after reading about it I quickly got passionate about how bullshit this is. Today is the first day I’ve ever heard of any of the people involved. But something that I am going to confidently say right now is that zamii070receipts is a blog that only served to shame and bully zamii.

I’m writing this on the fly and so maybe this scenario isn’t perfectly articulated but just go with it: A child is doing not so great at school. This child also shows a bit of an attitude at school when the teacher tries to talk to this student about their failings in school. Now, instead of talking to the student one on one, this teacher decides to go to extra lengths to teach this kid a lesson. This teacher finds a wall in the classroom and hangs up all of the child’s significant failures. All the other students now see this and start to make fun of the child for this. This child is hurt immensely by the bullying from these other students and after an extended amount of time exposed to this abuse they hurt themselves.

Who do we blame? Do we blame the child? If they had just listened in the first place and done well in school and not have that attitude then things would have never escalated, right? So the teacher is validated in shaming the student! Well, no. Any well minded person would realize that this teacher is a shitty teacher.

The teacher posting those assignments is responsible for escalating the bullying. Even if the bullying existed in some form before the teacher ever did that, the teacher’s action only made it worse and did not help the student in any way, shape, or form. All it did was add fuel to the fire. 

zamii070receipts blog is the teacher in this scenario. They might even truly believe that they were trying to help Zamii improve as a person, but their actions are not something that are helpful. Zamii may have been being bullied before the receipts blog was ever made or became active again, but the matter of fact is that a blog like zamii070receipts only served the purpose of adding fuel to the fire. It only made the bullying more intense. Maybe Zamii would have attempted suicide whether or not the receipts blog was ever made, but that doesn’t matter. The receipts blog was made. And it only made things worse.

And honestly, yeah Zamii doesn’t really seem like the best person ever. She seems a bit ignorant on quite a few issues. Maybe she could use some help in improving herself as a person in those areas. I don’t really know, I don’t know her. But the receipts blog is not helpful and is scummy as fuck.

this page is basically nothing to do with being a fake prophet anymore cus homestuck is a dead fandom that no one cares about anymore because of the hiatuses, but i shall keep the name mpsaprophet because i don’t see a reason to change it.
