what’s so wild to me and by wild i mean disgusting is the fact that marlene & co. are not at all unaware how fucked up toby being raped by jenna is they know full well it’s wrong they included that flashback in s6 of jenna coming onto toby again and he stands up to her that’s all the proof you need to know they’re aware
what’s fucked up about these “"writers”“ is that they pick and choose when it’s convenient for them to acknowledge that toby was raped because they care more about the redemption of characters that have done nasty things like jenna (and ezra and mona and yes, alison, too) than their victims aka toby (paige as well and the four main girls) they care more to have people forgive their abusers and let them remain a part of their life while they live with the pain of what’s been done to them like they owe something to their abuser which, newsflash, they do not
not to mention the fact that they’ve never actually called it rape which is exactly what it is and now they’ve had him be raped again and once again they didn’t bother to 1) call it what it is or 2) have any sort of justice for him they just brushed it aside same way they did in s1 and treated it all as a ”“shocking”“ plot device
i’m sorry but this show has never done any sort of justice for representing anyone that’s marginalized in any way aka rape victims, eating disorders, mental health issues, addicts, etc like their treatment of gay characters is disgusting all they’ve done is turn people’s real life pain and struggle into shock value for their badly written show for seven seasons and then have the audacity to act like they’re doing a service for the world by just mentioning these things but not doing them any sort of justice or bringing forth change and progress
the writers know the difference between right and wrong they just don’t care and i’m sorry but that is not okay you don’t get to pick and choose when rape exists and when it doesn’t

They literally told us Alex’s backstory in 1 minute but gave us an hour of the ships sat around a table talking about honeymoons. Please let that sink in.

listen: throwing in an evil twin is lazy. marlene can spew all the lies she wants this was not planned from long ago she pulled it out of her ass like she has been for the past 5 seasons. it’s also pathetic and cowardly. marlene will NEVER have the guts to actually make a main, relevant character the enemy because she’s afraid of backlash from the fans. mona was the only one and she didn’t even write that, it was from the book. this is honestly embarrassing for everyone involved. i’ve said for a really long time i hate evil twin plot lines, but this is the ultimate. marlene has NOTHING to be proud of. this is a complete and utter mess, and certainly NOT the show i fell in love with. rest in fucking pieces, pretty little liars.

I promise you, if the show ends with ‘it was all a dream’ or with Addison and friends becoming the next victims and getting texts from ‘B’, I will swim to America, hit Marlene over the head with a rock and send myself to Radley.

My problems with the killer reveal.
Okay, so Mona killed Charlotte. I have a lot of problems with how this was presented. Here’s a list:
1. The damn suitcase handle! That was such a huge issue in 6b, with Melissa acting all sketchy about it and someone nearly plowing down Emily in order to get it away from her. What the hell was that all about? Who would want it that badly unless it was the murder weapon?
2. The flowers that Mona had were bright purple. The flowers found with Charlotte’s body were pink and hadn’t bloomed yet. They don’t look marginally the same. And to add to that, why did Mona have those flowers in the first place? And why did they happen to be the same type of flowers that Alison had put out in her house that very evening?
3. Why was Mona trying to recreate the night she murdered Charlotte if she accomplished that the first time? She even says, “You’re not gonna trick me this time.” What does that mean? How did Charlotte trick her that night? That scene in the bell tower implied that Mona hadn’t actually succeeded in killing Charlotte and was trying to do it over.
4. This line makes no sense: “You needed me, just like you needed me to take care of Charlotte after all the terrible things she did. I’m sorry I messed that up. Nothing ever happens the way it’s supposed to with me.” What?! But Mona did kill Charlotte, so she did indeed “take care of her.” What is she talking about?
5. “Not only did you lose the game, but you lost the story,” Charlotte tells Mona. What does that mean? What story?
6. The timeline makes no sense. We know that at some point that night, before Charlotte died, Mona called her from the Two Crows, that was confirmed by Tanner and by a witness at the diner. So how did she know that Charlotte was going to be at the bell tower? Why did Charlotte even go to the bell tower? And what did Mona mean when she said that Charlotte met her there “because she had to”?
7. Charlotte’s body was wiped down before she was thrown from the bell tower, including any DNA under her fingernails. Where would Mona get the materials to do that? And what about that paper Spencer wrote about the woman who was murdered in exactly the same way that Charlotte was? Is that just supposed to be a really specific coincidence?
8. I find it absolutely unbelievable that Mona wouldn’t fess up and turn herself over for Charlotte’s murder in order to save Hanna in 7x01. That is completely uncharacteristic, especially considering she confessed to a murder she didn’t commit back in season four just so Hanna’s mom wouldn’t be convicted.

“I Like Hanging Out With Guys Because There’s Less Drama.”
Translation: whenever I spend time with my female friends, we always end up doing an unabridged reading of Hamlet, and I’m salty because they always make me play Polonius.

She deserves all that. She deserves both. In that order.
future ideal paige relationships
a loudmouth new york chick with a challenging and endearing personality, covered with tats and an obnoxious hair color, probably aries or aquarius (maybe scorpio), the coach of iowa’s rivalry swim team, they fight about everything and they wouldn’t have it any other way because they just like making up too much, it’s never serious fighting unless the giants are playing the eagles, adrenaline junkies that skydive and bungee jump together, have started and finished multiple bar fights, spontaneous months-long backpacking trips through foreign countries, black coffee and jack daniels, pool sex, rooftop stargazing, skinned knees and calloused hands, never have i ever meets truth or dare, intense souls who are no longer “too much” but just enough
a sweet cali girl with sunkissed hair and skin, shy and quiet with a powerful and knowing gaze, endlessly generous, works with animals or children, a little awkward, probably speaks multiple languages fluently, fellow water sign (cancer or pisces, not scorpio), they lavish each other with encouragement, validation, and affection and they seldom argue, long car rides with the music up and the windows down, picnics on the beach, bonfires and watching the sunset, lazy sunday mornings in bed, white cotton sheets, wordless communication, skinny dipping in the ocean, sitting in comfortable silence, anxious hearts finally at peace

So Emily has found her true love. Someone who was maybe cruel to her in the past, but who we have all seen grow over the years, and now cares about Emily and protects her. They clearly love each other, and are now starting a family together, albeit under unusual circumstances.
I have to admit I had my doubts at first, but after seeing them together, I really think Emily and Mona can make this work.

“Alison’s not like that anymore, she’s changed!”
Yeah, but you were all shipping her with Emily way before she did. Emis*n didn’t happen because Alison changed, Alison was changed to make emis*n happen. Stop acting like anyone who hasn’t jumped on the bandwagon is just being cruel and unforgiving.
