And suddenly it's been a year and it still feels like yesterday
While I lie in the same bed listening to the same songs crying as much as I did then
Grief does not shrink but you're supposed to grow around it
Yet I feel like it's the grief that has grown around me instead
And I miss you more and more each day and I can't believe I will miss you for the rest of my life
That instead of knowing you I now have to remember you
And with each day that passes without you I realise more and more that you are really gone
That I will never see you again
With everything around me a reminder that you used to be here but aren't anymore
And so it's been a year
Of missing, grieving and crying
And the most cruel thing is that I just have one wish
That you were here with me
To get me through it all

the amount of background brain processing power dedicated to The Plague at all times is just. appalling. am i a little warm or do i have a fever? do i just need to drink some water or is my throat getting dry? was that just bland or is my taste a little off? how many people are wearing masks in here? his is under his nose. hers under her chin. how many will be wearing masks at that place i’d like to go to next week? should i even go? this mask needs washed. my glasses are fogging up. did they just cough? don’t stand so close. are there too many people in here? someone i know is waiting on results. i want to see my friend but is it a good idea? someone else is isolating. i forgot to sanitise my hands on the way in. how many people will be there? i can’t be off work. how many people died today anyway? i’m outside but it’s crowded. they’re standing real close to me. it’s kind of hot in here. or am i getting a fever?

I dont really care if you use the term bisexual or pansexual, but what i DO care about is that you understand that bisexuality at NO stage in history was EVER trans-exclusionary. Bisexuality has always included trans folks, and non-binary folks, and the entire spectrum of gender between male and female, as well as Definitively Gender and agender. It has ALWAYS meant "attraction to more than one gender." It has NEVER meant "attraction to cis men and women only."
So, pan, bi, use whichever label you will. But do NOT buy into the recent-years innacurate concept that bisexuality is attraction to cis men and women only, because thats literally never been the case.

Apparently people who don't have executive dysfunction think that actually working on something is the hardest part of doing something. And that's why they get mad that you call the rest of the project "easy" after you've finally worked through doing the plan and know what to do when you're working.
So when you're through with the epiphany of how to make it physically possible to make the thing you're making, and you're sharing the plan with excitement, because the hard part is over, and now you only have to get your hands moving and do it, they get mad at you like
"it's not that easy! It's a lot of hard work! >:C"
they mean it, because
to them, working is the hardest part.
They don't have to fight their brains to get started. They don't have to fight their way through making the choices, making the plan, making yourself make the thing. People who don't suffer from executive dysfunction think that the hardest part is actually doing the thing.

I need you to understand the importance of what Maneskin did on their concert in Poland.
In a country where president gained his votes by spreading hatred, in a country where right-wing activists spread rumors about LGBT people wanting to adopt children to r*pe them, in a country where conservatives think gays only want to teach the kids masturbation, in a country where so many young people are homeless because their homophobic parents kicked them out, in a country where people are afraid to hold hands with someone of the same sex, in a country where people were murdered on the street because they were gay, in a country where LGBT people have literally no rights, in a country where non-binary, genderfluid, trans people aren't even acknowledged, in a country where people are afraid to speak out about their orientation in fear of being publicly lynched, in a country part of which denies LGBT people the right to live, in a country where LGBT people are considered abominations in need of treatment...
Maneskin on public TV said love is never wrong. That everybody should be able to be whoever they want. On public TV Damiano kissed Thomas.
I can't imagine how many kids this has given hope to. How many unwanted kids who have been denied parental love because they dared to be who they feel they are, saw that they are not alone in the world. How many artists felt solidarity, inspiration and motivation. And deep down I really want to believe that maybe at least a small percentage of homophobes have thought about this message.
I cried. My heart grew so much bigger, knowing that it was shown on public TV. Even if it doesn't strike any change, many kids out there, being neglected, afraid and bullied, felt the representation and support they need.
Thank you, Maneskin.

🥺 yearning playlist masterlist 🥺
eating ice cream straight out of the tub at 1 am in the morning while you marathon watch the cheesiest chick flics and cry because you’re all alone
neither of you can deny that the looks, the moments, hell even the kisses you share are not simple friendly activities and at night you lay awake torn apart thinking about the next moment that energy will be so palpable between the both of you and hearing their constant reminder that you’re just friends
you’ve spent the day as a third wheel and even though you had a lot of fun and didn’t feel lonely while you were out, you’re feeling lonely now and wondering if you’ll ever find someone who will understand that you’ve been hurt and you’re still healing and will take it slow with you and love you right
oh to feel someone’s strong hands roaming your body as you sink into the bed and let yourself go completely
you just want to hold hands with someone, anyone! swing hands with someone as you walk down the street. try to hold hands with someone on a swing and giggle at how beautiful the thrill feels. hold hands with someone during a library study session. someone doing that thumb rub thing as you walk through a crowded carnival.
dancing in your kitchen on your own on a lazy sunday morning and thinking about how nice it would be to have a dancing partner
you want to spend the rest of your life with someone just sharing breakfast together on your balcony surrounded by a lot of plants then going off your separate ways to work throughout the day and returning home to share candle lit dinners with wine every afternoon and cuddling until you fall asleep
leaving a party early because you just really really really miss your s/o. sending texts to each other in the middle of the day with i love you reminders. packing lunches for your s/o with a note about how much you love them.
realizing you’re slowly falling in love with the person you regularly have one night stands with and fantasizing about calling them yours one day and it meaning forever and not the night
spending a lazy saturday morning in bed with your lover just doing what lovers do

in honor of maneskin winning eurovision here's my other favorite songs from them
I compiled them all into this spotify playlist
but if you don't have access to spotify, or you want the lyrics+translations, here's the list:
CORALINE: my current favorite, the lyrics is so beautiful, it describes a character who is suffering from all the burden that is put on her, check the lyrics+eng translation here
VENT'ANNI: title translates to "I'm 20 years old" and the lyrics talks about struggles of being 20 years old, lyrics+eng translation here
Torna a casa: it's a love songs, but again lyrics and melody is really beautiful, lyrics+eng translation here
L'atra dimensione: it's kind of a party song, lyrics+eng translation here
Le parole lontane: again it's a love song but it has a dream like mood, lyrics+eng translation here
Lasciami stare: its theme is a little bit similar to ZITTI E BUONI imo, lyrics+eng translation here
Morirò da re: lyrics+eng translation here
FOR YOUR LOVE: they have other songs in english too if you wanna check them out but I like this one the best, lyrics here
and of course the winning song:
ZITTI E BUONI: lyrics+eng translation here
(I really recommend you to check their songs even if you didn't really like zitti e buoni 'cause they have songs in many different genres, also bear in mind that these are just my personal favorites and maybe you'll like some of their other songs more)
