Manfred Mann were an English rock band formed in London in 1962. They were named after their keyboardist. The group scored three number one hits in the UK, "Do Wah Diddy Diddy", "Pretty Flamingo", and "Mighty Quinn." "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" also reached number one in the US.
The band in 1965 from left to right: Paul Jones (vocals, harmonica), Tom McGuinness (bass), Mike Hugg (drums), Manfred Mann (keyboards), and Mike Vickers (guitar).

Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. The founding members from left to right: Syd Barrett (guitar, lead vocals), Nick Mason (drums), Richard Wright (keyboards, vocals), and Roger Waters (bass, vocals). They are one of the best-selling recording acts of all time.
David Gilmour (guitar, vocals) joined in 1967; Barrett left in 1968 due to deteriorating mental health.
