Live for the moment
June 2004 was the start of a new journey. 22 years of age, a new career to begin in education, a beautiful girlfriend, no real commitments, living in a brilliant city - life was sweet. Fast forward 13 years to November 2017, a career that has moved on with thousands of fantastic experiences, a beautiful wife of nearly 8 years, two amazing young boys, a warm and welcoming family home in a small village - life was better than I had ever expected it to be.
On the outside yes, on the inside no and something broke. It had been breaking for a long time, for lots of reasons, but with all of the wonderful distractions on the outside it was hidden away; the inside was damaged, nearly beyond repair.
It’s taken falling to the bottom to realise what I am all about. There is no definitive answer to this but one which I am finding out more and more with each minute of every day. This is the start of my reflection, in words, of what’s going on in this head of mine and how I am extremely grateful to some special people that I am lucky to have in my life.
Live for the moment, you’ll never know what’s coming round the corner.
