oh wow............. oh wow wow wow i thought nobody would remember this. i’m currently in the middle of a particularly difficult semester at college so don’t expect anything anytime soon, but maybe this summer i’ll get my rough drafts back out.
HATD stands for Hedges Against the Dark, a bastardization of a line from the novel duma key by stephen king.

Class assignment! Had to redesign the cover for a book we really enjoyed, so i picked Maximum Ride. I remember always reading that she had, brown hair, brown eyes and tan wings with black and white primary feathers, yet i’ve never seen her depicted as such. So heres my take on it! done with prismacolor marker

I haven’t been into Maximum Ride for years, and I’m probably not gonna get back into it beyond these drawings, but I wanted to get some headcanons out there.
None of the canon portrayals of them (namely book covers and manga art) actually show them in the ways they’re described in the books. Gazzy and Angel are definitely the closest to being accurate but I wanted to draw them anyway.
I’m not like.. super proud of this Iggy and there are things I probably would fix in the drawing if I actually felt like it but let’s be honest here I probably won’t so I’m posting it anyway
