Did you see the interview where RAS confirmed that this isn't a hard reboot and there will still be continuity from season 6? I don't think we have anything to worry about tbh. They're not erasing all the progress made this season. If that were the case, Jug wouldn't remember anything either.

The thing is … if that’s it for Riverdale as we know it, and we will never see that timeline again … Barchie found their happily ever after. From Archie proposing at 8 to Betty proposing almost two decades later, they found their way back together. He was always her light, she just needed to be ready to move towards it. It’s a beautiful bow on a six season story.

I say this because considering what Tabitha said about different endgames for different timelines, if Season 7 ends in the 50s, it very well could end with Veronica and Archie together. Different timeline, different endgame, everyone (somewhat happy). To me, that’s fine. I think this hard reboot actually might be really interesting, regardless of them being literally way too old to play 16 at this point.

I’m interested to see what a 50s based regular Archie Comics approach looks like to Riverdale.

But before ship wars begin again (and I know they will no matter what little old me says) I think that’s kind of a lovely thing to realize.

EDIT: I had not seen the Jughead remembered aspect — but my sentiment still stands!
