some of the writers of that harley quinn cartoon have the right idea because instead of keeping joker as a mysterious unstoppable edgelord they had him lose his memory for a while, become a stepdad to a nice family, and then when he got back his joker memories he still stuck with it. The kids think it kicks ass to have joker for a dad and anyone who mistreats them is fucked. He got so mad that the school was possibly discriminating against them that he ran for mayor and he won because most of gotham is poor and shares his hatred of both rich people and cops.

I wish this kind of thing was what all the endless movies were about. I still wouldn’t spend money to watch superhero movies but I’d be glad to just know, you know

because i love y’all, i’m sharing my family’s recipe for apple tea (traditional fall/winter drink in west asia, turkey, and many areas of the balkans)

it’s like a more delicate version of apple cider and i basically live off of this stuff when the weather starts to cool!

Apple Tea (for two)

1 large apple or 2 small, shredded (you can use a cheese grater)

3 cups water

1-2 cinnamon sticks

2-3 pc clove (optional)

honey to taste

1 tsp of lemon juice (add at end)

green tea (optional! some versions call for green tea but i actually prefer it without. up to you!)

throw it all in a pot and let it simmer on a low temperature for an hour or so. while it’s simmering, it will also make your home smell delicious! (if you make it with green tea, add the tea at the end, about five minutes before taking it off the heat so the flavor doesn’t become bitter from oversteeping). strain into your cups and enjoy hot.

I’m in

Firefly is one of a very few shows I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a reboot of, if it was done with the right intentions by the right people. because the bones and aesthetic and premise of the show are incredible but I think maybe it was just kind of. created too early to actually fulfill the potential it had. like idk what if Firefly, but it was less weird about its female characters and half the cast was actually chinese. I just think that would be cool and interesting to see. and I want more space cowboys and frankly am not terribly picky as to how that happens and reboots are in. get all unknown actors to do it because I’m tired of looking at the same five people.

plus if it gets released on a streaming service we can even get the truly authentic Firefly experience of watching it be cancelled for no reason after season one.

I don't think I'll ever really write this but like, mcshep wild wild west au where Sheppard is a lone traveler/cowboy who won't open up about his past or why he's on the nomadic lifestyle & a weird scientist McKay who has a home in the middle of nowhere (think weather balloons, chalkboards, strange electrical instruments strewn about in front of his yard and on his roof, a giant homemade observatory in his barn, etc.). And one day Sheppard comes crashing on his land because he's injured. Falls off the horse, etc. And yeah. Sheppard sticks around because he feels obligated to help out a little because McKay saved his life for some reason, even though he can't think of a reason why anyone would do that for him. And they discover a fucking comet together or some shit. And the fall in love etc etc.
