what you see || what you don't . . . . . . . SEEN = silly - goofy - loving. man +wife UNSEEN = the DAYS leading up to this photo of me moping, complaining, being weary, anxious, mayyyybe a bit high maintenance 😔😕.... and the BOOM that came about 30 minutes prior to this photo sesh. It was all nonsense in the end. Nothing even remotely logical started the argument. It was all emotion. All because of everything else going on around us. We took these photos right after we had a moment of clarity. When we made up. When there were hugs and tears and apologies of all sorts. When we acknowledged that we are not in charge and checked in with 1st in command (thank you Father God! 🙌) ... right after one of the tightest hugs we have given each other. We took these photos to remind us that we are one, we are for one another - never against, that there will be struggles, but that at the end of it all, God chose each of us to walk this life with the other in marriage. Too often it is thought - because of the portrayal of life, as depicted by social media, - that EVERYONE else has it wayyyy better off than we do. False. Everyyyyone has something that is a struggle. We can either run from the struggle. From the ugly happenings of this world. From the hurt. From the broken. From the sickness and disease. Or we can delight in it as we embrace its opportunity for stretching + growing...for the ultimate transformation of our hearts. "Show me your ugly so I can love you more" is what we say. Make it your goal to love all of you and your story, not just the "perfect" happy idealistic parts. ✌💗☇... * still taking my own advice*
