Thank you Omni! You are so fast! I like your backstory of why Deckard is called Princess. He claimed the name and won’t respond to anything else 😂 it’s so in character with his human counterpart in your other drabbles. I like cat Dek because he does not have his human pride and inhibitions. He is just Luke’s affectionate little jerk.
hi Omni! Happy Friday and happy Chinese New Year! I’m still thinking about a cuddly Sphinx cat Deckard. If you can write something along those lines 🙏 I have some red pockets to bribe you with🧧🧧🧧🧧
Hello friend! Happy Lunar New Years! Don't worry, you don't need to bribe me to write cat!Deckard! I'll do that every day of the week lol!
~~~
Peeking into the cat carrier, Luke could see the small sphinx curled up title in the corner
It had been a week since Luke had found the small cat in an alley, cold and starving. Without hesitation, he had picked it up and brought it home
After a week, he had finally gotten an appointment to take the cat in
He was still on the fence of keeping it, but Sam had been insistent that they keep the animal
"Mr. Hobbs?"
Looking up from the cat carrier, Luke saw a young man waiting for him patiently. The vet tech smiled at him as Luke stood up
"And who did you bring in today?" The vet asked
"Um, princess. I wasn't sure what else to call her. Especially with how demanding she can be." Luke chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck
"Cats can be like that sometimes." The vet laughed and led him down the hall to a room
Setting the carrier on the examination table, Luke opened it and tried to pulled the cat out
Instead of willingly coming to him like usual, the cat glared at him and stayed curled up in the corner
"Come on, princess. The doc needs to look you over." Luke huffed
"Here, let me." The vet said and peered into the carrier. "Oh dear, poor thing is shivering."
"What?" Luke blinked and felt a wave of guilt crash into him
Great, he only had the cat for a week and he was already doing a horrible job
"This is the first time you've had a sphinx?" The vet asked
"First time having a cat actually." Luke admitted
"Then you're fine. You didn't know. But because Princess here doesn't have fur, you'll need to keep her warm with sweaters, especially when going outside."
"Oh."
Luke had never even thought about dressing up a cat before
"I'll make sure to send one home with you so Princess isn't too cold." The vet smiled at him. "For now, let's see if we can't take a look at her."
After a few minutes, they were finally able to pull the cat out, who was glaring at them the whole time
"You're doing good, princess." Luke cooed and scratched under its chin. He smiled when a loud purring sounded through the small room
"Um, Mr. Hobbs?"
"Yeah?"
"Did you saw this was a female cat?"
"I, um." Luke hesitated. "I've never had to tell the difference before."
"Then you might want to change Princess's name to Prince." The vet chuckled. "Because he's a male cat."
"Oh."
Luke could feel his face heating up
He swore the cat was laughing at him
---
Standing in his kitchen, Luke narrowed his eyes at his cat
Who was ignoring him
"Prince! Dinner!"
Not even a tail flick
Crossing his arms, Luke was at a loss. The cat would always come to him if he called for him. Why wasn't he now?
Did he become used to the name Princess?
Shaking his head, Luke tried again
"Princess!"
It was almost as if someone shocked the cat as he sprang go his feet and came racing towards Luke. He meowed loudly and wind around Luke's feet
"You're annoying, you know that, right?" Luke huffed
Princess only sat on his foot and purred loudly
~~~
I hope you enjoyed friend!

DUDE.... Luke dressing him up in sweaters 😭 it’s too cute... Deckard “I’m always cold” Shaw would be so conflicted. Because he likes being warm but hates the indignation of Luke dressing him up in outfits. I have the perfect picture for this...
BEHOLD!
Tumblr media
Request Friday: So we all agree the Shaws are feral as hell and feline to boot. I think it would be neat to see shapeshifter kitty Deckard following around Luke.
Luke rescues a kitty in the rain, unknowingly snatching a stuck shifter, Deckard. Until Deck can forgive out WHY he is stuck, he sticks around, not that he NEEDS help mind you... he’s just conserving his resources and focusing on the problem on hand.
He pops up to tangle around Luke’s ankles while he’s frying fish; curled up tight on top Luke’s stomach/chest snoozing in the morning; just happening to be in the same room as Luke; demanding four head scritches— NO more than 4 or the risk of deadly nails and teeth! Any kitty cliches you can think of!
FRIEND. FRIEND. FRIEND!!!!
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
This might be the thing I have pinned to the top of blog from now on
Also, you have no idea how tempted I was to make Deckard a hairless cat 😭 so freaking close!!
~~~
Luke tried to walk faster as he felt even more droplets of rain hit his head, but it was all in vain. Before he knew it, it was pouring down and completely soaking him
Cursing, he wrapped his jacket tighter around him and wished he hadn't decided to walk to the gym that morning
Why on the one day LA decided to get rain?!
He was so focused on walking, he almost didn't hear the pitiful mewling coming from an alley
Stopping in his tracks, Luke backed up and peered into the alley
Hiding in a soggy cardboard box, was a small tabby cat. It was completely soaked to bone, and Luke could swear he could see its ribs
He felt a stab of sympathy as he crouched down. The cat was so tired and cold, all it could do was sniff his hand and shiver like crazy
Since the cat didn't scratch up his hand, Luke took it as a good sign that it wasn't completely feral. With ease, he scooped it up and tucked it into his jacket
It only let out a small mew
---
Shivering, Deckard could barely open his eyes, let alone fight against the large hand that picked him up. He was just too cold
Almost three weeks ago, Deckard had tried to get his revenge on Toretto and his crew for hurting his little brother
But it had ended up with a building falling on Deckard and him nearly going to prison
When he had woken up from the building collapsing, he had immediately shifted into a smaller, familiar form: a cat
But, after he had escaped, he couldn't shift back
He had no idea why he couldn't, but his body stayed in the smaller form, no matter how much Deckard tried
It had been three weeks since then and he had to beg for scraps. He wasn't used to living as a stray, even when on the run from MI6. It was easier to steal food when you had opposable thumbs
When it had started raining, Deckard had tried to sneak into a gas station, but was promptly kicked out. Everywhere he went, he was chased out
He just found the alleyway before it really started raining. But it didn't do much good. Because rain still soaked him, making him practically freeze
He hadn't been eating much and he was a small cat, so he didn't have much fat on him to keep him warm
He was sure he was going to freeze to death that night
Before a giant savior came and picked him up
Snuggling into the warmth of the person, Deckard didn't realize it was Luke Hobbs who had saved him
---
Wrapping the still slumbering cat in a towel, Luke gently dried it off
Back home and in his nicely warm and dry house, Luke stared down at the impossibly small cat. So small in fact, he wasn't sure if it just wasn't a kitten
Either way, he had been right that he could almost see its ribs. The thing was so thin, Luke knew it hadn't eaten in a long time
"Is it OK, dad?" Sam asked, peeking over his shoulder to stared down at the tabby
"Yeah, I think so. Just tired." Luke smiled at her. "Can you go look for a can of tuna? I bet it'd love for something to eat when it wakes up."
"Yeah, I can!" Sam said and bolted for the kitchen
Chuckling, Luke kept rubbing the towel into soft, dry fur. He stopped when he felt a small vibration coming from the cat's chest
"Waking up?" Luke whispered and watched as big, brown eyes blinked open and stared at him
The purring stopped
Petting the cat, Luke smiled down at it
"Found you half starved and nearly frozen to death, but you're safe now."
The cat only kept staring at him and didn't start purring again
"Hey dad?" Sam called from the kitchen
"Yeah?"
"Can you help me open the can of tuna?"
"Be right there, sweetie!" Luke called back. Placing the cat down in a small nest of blankets Sam had made, he rubbed behind its ears. "Stay here and I'll bring you dinner."
The cat blinked at him
---
Never in a hundred years did Deckard ever think he would end up living with Luke Hobbs and his daughter
As a cat
But.
It wasn't the worst thing in the world
After the first night, Deckard had figured out that Luke had no idea who or what he was. He thought he was a simple cat
A female cat
That he kept calling Princess
In all honesty, it should have bothered Deckard, but he couldn't care less
Not when he was getting fed a steady stream of fish and other meat, got to lounge in the LA sun for hours on end, and got endless pets from Luke and Sam
It was honestly heaven on earth
Deckard didn't have to care about having to run from the police or who else was after him
All he had to worry about was keeping Luke in bed for a few more minutes so he could cuddle even more
Like now. The man was sitting up in bed, scrolling through his morning news feed while petting Deckard, who was curled up on his chest and right under his chin
"All right, princess. I have to get up." Luke said quietly, putting down his tablet
Deckard let out a mewl of distress as Luke tried to pick him up. Digging his claws in, Deckard hissed. He wasn't done cuddling!
"Watch it, princess. Or else I'll have to hold you down and clip your claws again." Luke scolded him and detached his claws from his shirt
Placing Deckard down, Luke started to stand. Deckard sat on the bed and glared at him the whole time he got ready
"Don't give me that look, you spoiled brat." Luke threw over his shoulder as he pulled a shirt on. "I'll give you an extra can of tuna when I get home from work. As long as you don't destroy anything."
Deckard wasn't promising anything
---
Placing a plate of cooked fish on the table, Luke chuckled as he saw Princess already sitting on the table and liking it's chops
"How many times have I told you to get off the table?" He sighed, but still reached over and pet the small cat. Who started purring up a storm
Placing his own food on the table, Luke sat and watched the cat eat its food
He never thought he would get a cat. He was always more of a dog person. But Princess was different
Always jumping on him, cuddling, wanting to be picked up. Just wanting his attention and love
It was kind of flattering in a way
Lost in thought, Luke didn't notice the cat was finished with its breakfast and started going for his
Looking down, he shoved the smaller body back
"Hey! You already got your food! Leave mine alone!" He scolded
Princess glared at him
Rolling his eyes, Luke opened his phone and started to look over his work email. Absorbed in reading and eating, he almost didn't hear the scrapping noise
Looking up, he saw his coffee mug was on the edge of the table, Princess's paw laying right next to it
"Don't you fucking dare." Luke said lowly, eyes narrowed
The cat flicked its tail
"I'm warning you, fleabag."
It tilted its head to the side
"I don't negotiate with terrorists."
The cat seemed to smirk
"Don't you-!"
Too late
In a flash, the cat's paw hit the mug and sent it to the floor, spilling coffee everywhere
Shaking his head, Luke sighed as Princess gleefully jumped over to his plate and started to gobble down his eggs
"Why the hell did I get a cat?"
~~~
I hope you enjoyed friend!! I really did!!

Oh my god!!!! My misanthropy just spiked reading this. I’m so sorry you have to deal with this 😢
so myself and a couple other doctors run the local COVID clinic and screening center (we see about 100 - 120 patients a day between 2 of us per day there), and some of the stuff that patients say to me are just... wild.
some examples include:
them: "I don't really believe in this COVID stuff, but I was at the casino/bar/whatever this weekend and I've been coughing the past few days so I want to get tested."
me: "Yes, we should definitely get you checked. Have you been quarantining since your symptoms started?"
them, laughing derisively: "No, why would I do that? I told you, I don't believe in this COVID stuff, it's fake news."
and
them: "I'm so glad they're opening schools again. I mean, this is basically the same as measles and chickenpox, and we don't close for that."
me: "Sorry, ma'am, but actually it's very different. It's a highly contagious virus for which we unfortunately DON'T have a vaccine, and is transmitted asymptomatically, unlike many others, meaning we can't just keep a kid out of school when they develop symptoms and assume no one else was affected. We already have more cases in our state now than when we initially went into lockdown, and the death rate is steadily climbing again. I will not be surprised when opening schools causes both numbers to go up drastically and overwhelm our already strained health system."
them, not listening to a word I just said: "Yeah, well, I think it'll be fine. You're just paid to say stuff like that."
and my personal favorite
me: "Hi sir, I'm contacting you to let you know that your test results returned positive for COVID."
them: "Oh. Really? Ok, but can you call back later? I'm at work right now."
me, alarmed: "You... You're at work?"
them, coughing audibly over the phone: "Yeah."
me: "... but we told you that you should be quarantining until your results return."
them, still hacking away: "Oh, you were serious about that?"

This is soooo good 😭 the melancholy of Hobbs is a something people don’t often explore, since he speaks completely in one liners in the movies. but you have done it so well!
On a lighter note, I 100% expected “sunlight reflected off of” to end with some reference to Deckard’s head 😂
So just imagine: crumbling buildings, abandoned cars on the sides of the road, vines and plants growing throughout a ghost city while animals like deer and wolves run through them, everything is filmed in a golden filter with a warm hue that contrasts the direness of the human’s situation. Basically, what I’m trying to say, is a zombie au. A zombie au with the crew and the Hobbs and the Shaws all fighting for their lives with kickass suped-up cars and a score to settle. Thanks so much dude!
Sorry this took a second! I was working all day, but I hope this works!
Luke was never a fan of the city. He hated how loud it was, and that no one seemed to slow down enough to appreciate the world around them. Museums and parks were always his favorite part when it came to visiting someplace new.
He never expected the rest of the world to conform to his preferences.
But a zombie apocalypse would do that.
Luke sat on one of the many abandoned marble benches of the Nature and Science Museum and looked up at the t-rex skeleton. Most of the windows had been smashed in by either people or the elements. Too much time had passed to be able to tell which.
Vines and weeds had grown through the new entryways, coiling around the skeleton and hanging from the dinosaur’s teeth.
Time was a funny thing.
“Luke?”
He looked over his shoulder. Deckard was standing in the entryway. Sunlight reflected off of the broken glass beneath his boots.
“Toretto’s expecting us in ten.” Deckard said.
It had been by absolute chance that Deckard was in the states when the first outbreak hit. A fact that Luke didn’t even know about until weeks into the pandemic. When neighbors started to turn, and turn on each other in response.
He, Toretto, and their families had been driving from town to town looking for resources, and they’d stumbled into a nest while exploring an abandoned department store.
Luke was on his back, a zombie bearding down on top of him and trying to bite its way through the metal bat that was the only thing keeping Hobbs from becoming lunch.
In fact he was just about ready to say his final prayers when Luke heard a sickening crunch, and then the zombie collapsed. Deckard stood over him, an ax propped up on one shoulder.
‘Am I ever going to be done saving your ass?’ Luke never thought he’d be so happy to hear that voice.
From then on, Deckard became an invaluable resource on their team. Having more hands to search for food (and help cook it afterwards) helped alleviate some of the stress that surrounded their new way of life. Plus Deckard was good with the kids.
“Luke.” Deckard said his name again. And Luke found himself contemplating their slow journey from Hobbs and Shaw, to Luke and Deckard.
“Yeah, I’m coming.” He rose from the bench and slung his rifle over his shoulder.
Deckard easily fell in step beside him as they exited the museum.
“Find anything?” Luke eyed the full backpack hanging from Deckard’s back.
The Brit shrugged. "Some of the fruit trees in Central Park were ready for picking."
Luke felt his mouth begin salivating. "God I can't remember the last time I had fruit that wasn't out of a ca--"
Deckard raised a hand, cutting Luke off. He soundlessly pointed to their left.
Expecting to see a zombie mindlessly bumping against a car or stumbling after a rat that was much too quick for it, Luke was surprised to see a gazelle.
This wasn't their first time seeing wildlife not native to their current state. Zoos all over the country (and world, Luke assumed) had fallen apart once people weren't around to maintain them. Which meant that sometimes you came across an occasional big cat or African vulture.
As Luke and Deckard watched, a herd of deer lazily stepped into view. Apparently the gazelle found a new herd.
Deckard slowly knocked an arrow into his bow. Hunting with the rifle might have been easier, but it would attract a lot of attention and they only had so many bullets. Besides, they could always make more arrows. He drew up, and aimed for one of the bucks.
Luke held his breath until Deckard released the bow.
The arrow cut soundlessly through the air, and buried itself in the deer's skull, killing it instantly.
They waited until the gazelle and the rest of its herd scattered and disappeared down another crumbling intersection before going to retrieve the kill.
It was always a somber thing. As much as they needed the food, animals felt like the last pure thing left untouched by the virus.
They didnt know why the animals seemed unaffected. And no one in their group had the scientific background to run tests on the matter. It didn't stop Tej from trying when he could. But they didn’t often come across safe and still-functioning labs. And when they did they usually weren’t able to stay for long.
“Dom’s going to wonder where we are.” Luke said as Deckard gutted and cleaned the deer. But he knew there was no delaying the task. So he stood beside Deckard, rifle at the ready just in case some zombies tried to sneak up on them. “He’ll probably swing by with the cavalry.”
“Good.” Deckard muttered, carefully removing the organs they couldn’t use and preserving the ones they could. “I wasn’t planning on transporting this back to basecamp all on my own.”
Luke thought back to the gazelle. Considering what kind of journey it must have experienced between the time that the outbreak struck, and it finding and integrating into a herd of deer. He wondered what must have happened to its original herd.
“Do you think your family’s doing alright?”
Deckard had stilled the moment the words were out of Luke’s mouth.
It was a stupid thing to ask. Deckard spent hours hunched over the radio they salvaged, telegraphing morse code into the airways. He hadn’t gotten a response yet. But it didn’t stop him from trying.
“Sorry.” Luke said. The thoughts on the gazelle had just made him think about Deckard’s own ‘herd,’ since they were in England at the time of the outbreak.
Deckard seemed to sense both the sincerity of Luke’s apology, and why he’d asked it in the first place.
“It’s fine.” He shrugged.
Just as he’d finished preparing the deer, the sound of engines roaring tore through the abandoned city.
Luke looked up to see Toretto's Charger appear from behind a building and nearly pass their street before screeching to a halt. Letty and Roman followed close behind in their souped-up cars.
They'd had to raise the cars’ suspension to make room for the oversized all-terrain tires. And they’d also added a makeshift plow in the front in case they needed to clear a path fast.
As the three cars turned and approached the duo, Luke turned to look at Deckard.
“You get to explain why we didn’t make the rendezvous.”
Deckard stood and used a rag to wipe off his hands. He leaned against Luke, looking up at him.
“Don’t worry. I’ll make it up to you.”

Frank is gay and Tarconi is his boyfriend! Nothing anybody can say will change my mind. The Transporter trilogy is really the progression of Frank and Tarconi’s relationship.
In the first film, we have the meet cute when Tarconi goes to interview Frank about the police chase and bank robbery. Tarconi reveals that he's had a thing for military men since he was a boy. What a coincidence! Frank is ex-military. After some playful repartee, Frank invites Tarconi for coffee.
When Tarconi shows up at Frank’s door again, he is met with Lai, a strange woman wearing Frank’s clothes. Tarconi’s face was rather unamused and stern compared with his easy-going demeanor in the previous meeting. Perhaps sensing Tarconi’s unease, Lai successfully drives Tarconi away from the house and the suspiciously damaged Mercedes by cuddling up to Frank and presenting themselves as a united front.
Ultimately, Tarconi has to put aside his hurt feelings in order to help Frank save the trafficked Chinese people in containers.
The second film is the most overt in the expression of Frank and Tarconi’s relationship, even though they only shared on scene together. First of all, who crosses the mf Atlantic Ocean to visit an acquaintance for a weekend? No one! I see it as a romantic weekend reunion for the couple who have been separated by their jobs...
Secondly, the film itself toys with the idea of Frank and Tarconi being together. When Tarconi gets arrested by the police, the interrogator  emphasizes “we found you cooking in his kitchen.” This is a humorous exchange because it implies a sense of domesticity that is incongruent with the genre of the film. Looking through my fangirl goggles, I’ll take that domesticity as canon, thank you very much. :) In response to the question, Tarconi concedes that “(Frank and I) have a relationship.” On the narrative level, the response is an intersection of Tarconi’s difficulties with English and the nebulous relationship Frank and Tarconi shared by the end of the previous film. On a stylistic level, this line is supposed to be funny to the audience because it invokes a romantic relationship between Frank and Tarconi. On a fangirl level, it means Frank and Tarconi have a relationship :P
Finally, the scene Letterrier mentions. After Frank rebuffs the advances of his employer’s wife, Audrey, she asks “is it because of who I am?” to which Frank responds with “no, it’s because of who I am.” I’ve seen many people interpret this as Frank being a good man and not taking advantage of a drunk woman, or not hooking up with a married woman. However, this interpretation ignores the significance of the dialogue. Being drunk and being married are both who Audrey was. So, according to Frank’s own words, he is not rejecting because she is drunk, or because she is married. So what part of Frank’s identity prevents him from hooking up with a supermodel who is throwing herself at him? ...I guess it’s just another mystery of the universe...
The romantic weekend is a wash and neither gets laid :( but at least they parted on good terms having shared another adventure.
The third film opens to Frank and Tarconi fishing on a tiny boat. Clearly, they have moved past the stage of flirtatiousness and romantic getaways and have now settled into a stable relationship where they do boring old man shit together. In a true display of the lethargy of old men on a hot afternoon, Tarconi dozes off, which I find to demonstrate the level of comfort and security they have in each other’s company.
When Frank is kidnapped, Tarconi must embark on his own journey across Europe to rescue his damsel in distress. Of course, Frank is a strong independent white man who manages to save himself yet again.
After the explosions, Tarconi finds another woman hanging on Frank’s arm. Unlike with Lai, he seems much more magnanimous. Tarconi just looks at Frank with exasperated fondness.  Perhaps he is secure in his relationship with Frank and does not feel threatened by her presence.
The film ends with Tarconi and Frank fishing in the same spot as the beginning of the film. Their lives have returned to normal... But wait! Valentina pops up from behind Frank and embraces him! If the boat is supposed to represent Tarconi and Frank’s peaceful life, the ending seems to suggest that Valentina is now a part of it. So maybe the conclusion is... Frank is bisexual and in a polyamourous relationship with Tarconi and Valentina??? The third film is made by a different director, so I guess we don’t have to include it in the canon of the Transporter if we don’t want to.

Thank you Omni. I can never get enough of ballet AU 🤣 I really enjoyed this. I love how you worked Deckard’s softness with children into the fic.
Hi Omni, I’ve been really enjoying your request Friday’s ❤️ thank you for doing them. This is a throwback to one of your old ideas so it should be easy peasy for you. 41. Dancer/ballet AU with 63. physical contact 😏 thanks again for the Friday treats 🙏
I’m so glad you’re enjoying this friend! And I’m happy you’re bringing this little gem up again 😉 it’s a fav of mine
Luke loves that Sam is into everything you could think of. From arts and crafts to soccer and volleyball and even to plays and performances. So, it’s not that big of a shock when she comes to him and begs for ballet lessons. He starts looking around and finds a great studios for kids Sam’s age. Great reviews and a few parents Luke talks to sing the owner’s praise to the high heavens. The guy loves kids, knows how to actually interact with them, and how to encourage them to learn and practice
So, Luke signs Sam up and drops her off. He’s not expecting the owner and main instructor to be a British guy who looks like he could hold his own in a fight. A fight against trained soldiers. But he’s friendly, and Luke can tell that he’s already won Sam over. And if he smiles at Luke that way again, Luke knows he’s going to be won over as well
Luke leaves, letting Sam enjoy her first lesson and picks her up, but doesn’t get the chance to talk to Deckard after class. Or before or after other classes Luke drops Sam off at. They guy runs his own business after all, Luke shouldn’t feel too hurt that he doesn’t have time for one of his student’s parents
It’s not until one day, Luke doesn’t catch a glimpse of Deckard at all. The guy doesn’t seem to be at the studio. He asks Sam where he went.
“Mr. Shaw twisted his ankle yesterday. He won’t be teaching for a while,” Sam tells him, obviously pouting
And Luke feels bad for Deckard because his lively hood relies on him moving around and if he can’t do that, it must be pretty dull having to sit and watch everyone else
The next time Luke drops Sam off, he’s about to leave when he sees Deckard. He’s talking on the phone, wobbling on a crutch and too focused on whoever he’s talking to, that he doesn’t notice where he’s walking. He’s lucky Luke’s quick to his aid and catches him, or else Deckard might have twisted something else as he trips
Luke looks down at the blushing and embarrassed face of Deckard Shaw, and can only give him a shy smile back.
“Didn’t know you were falling for me.”
And Luke’s the embarrassed one because that was a truly awful pick up line. But Deckard doesn’t seem to mind.
“At least it didn’t hurt as much compared to when I fell from heaven,” Deckard throws back immediately, smiling back
Luke laughs and helps Deckard stand and barely notices he’s late for a meeting because he and Deckard stand there and talk to long. Eventually, Luke can tell Deckard’s getting tired, moving his weight so he doesn’t lean on his bad foot.
Without thinking, Luke wraps an arm around Deckard, and helping him up the stairs to the studio and into his little office. He loves the way Deckard leans into him, trusting Luke not to drop him
Once Deckard’s sitting, Luke’s about to leave, assuming Deckard will want to get to work. He pauses when Deckard calls out to him
“Are you free this weekend?” Deckard asks, not beating around the bush
“Yeah. Saturday night,” Luke answers and can’t stop smiling when he leaves, enjoying the feeling of butterflies in his stomach as he thinks about going on a date with the hot ballerina. Luke doesn’t notice all the teachers and kids peaking out of their practice rooms, all having witnessed Mr. Shaw cuddling up to the very tall and handsome dad
Thanks friend 😘 it’s amazing how many ways I can take those two Aus!

It’s so sweet. I really appreciate the subtlety of letting Dom discover them. The obvious choice would be to have a comic relief character like Roman to freak out over the discovery. I wouldn’t have thought of using Dom 🤣 The ambiguity of the interaction feels quite authentic. The characters are almost like us shippers who read between the lines to pick out a relationship.
Shobbs fic about Deckard and Hobbs being soft but no one knows they're kinda together but theyre not embarassed I need fluff and happy couples in my life 👉🥺👈
Your wish is my command Anon! How about some cozy breakfast fluff?
Morning came a little sooner than Luke would have liked. In fact if the sun wanted to take a break for a couple days or so, he wouldn’t complain.
This always happened after a long mission finished up. All the adrenaline and tension melts away in the night, leaving a bone-tired weight that hangs over Luke’s shoulders the next day.
He groaned and rolled over, reaching to the unexpectedly empty space beside him.
Luke sat up and looked around. They’d crashed at one of Mr. Nobody’s safe houses (which turned out to be more of a safe mansion). Luke wasn’t complaining exactly. He’d rather not have to trip over everyone in Dom’s crew every time he walked to the living room.
But it wasn’t Dom or any of his team members that he was looking for.
Luke sighed and rose from the bed, glancing at the clock as he stretched and tried to rub the remaining sleep clinging to his eyes. It was still pretty early. In fact if he bothered to glance out a window, the sun would barely be peaking over the horizon.
He tried to make as little noise as possible as he made his way to the kitchen.
“What are you doing up so early?”
Deckard turned around from where he was scrambling eggs.
He was wearing a black Henley over some draw-string pajama pants. It wasn’t the usual sleepwear that Luke was used to seeing. He’d probably found the clothes in one of the house’s many closets, considering they’d lost most of their luggage when the transport plane got shot down.
“It’s the middle of the day in England right now.” Deckard answered. “It’s not my fault you people always seem to get into trouble in the states.”
“Oh, I always get into trouble?” Luke tilted his head to the side and smiled. “If I remember correctly, I’ve saved your ass over in jolly old England once or twice.”
Deckard stepped into his personal space and slowly wrapped his arms around Luke’s waist. He tilted his head up so he could meet Luke’s eye. “Yeah well, maybe that’s just because I like having you around.”
Luke let out an amused huff and leaned down to give him a kiss. “Good morning.” He whispered.
Deckard hummed appreciatively and pulled himself away to continue making them breakfast. “How are you feeling?”
“Sore.” Luke’s body whined in protest as he sat down on a stool. He squeezed his eyes briefly, willing the achiness away. He opened an eye and squinted over to where Deckard was slicing mushrooms. “That’s usually your line isn’t it?”
Deckard flicked a mushroom at his head. It landed perfectly between his eyes and bounced down onto the granite countertop. Luke picked it up and took a bite, smiling. “How about you?”
“Not looking forward to that ten hour flight back home.” Deckard sighed, rolling his shoulders reflexively at the thought of being stuck in a cramped seat for half a day.
Luke popped the rest of the mushroom in his mouth as he watched Deckard pour the eggs into a buttered pan, mixing some diced mushrooms, tomatoes and other spices. He always liked watching him work in a kitchen.
“You could stay for a while.” He offered.
Deckard swirled the eggs around in the pan and expertly flicked his wrist, flipping them into an omelette. He looked up. “It would be nice to take a couple days off. Maybe see what passes for a beach in your neck of the woods.”
This was a little song and dance they did every time they met up. And it always ended the same way. But Luke didn’t mind. He liked their little ritual.
He cocked an eyebrow. “Oh Princess, you’ve been to my neck of the woods. Samoa’s got this coast beat. But if you want to see some LA beaches, I wouldn’t mind being your guide.”
“Just as long as you don’t get us lost again.” Deckard slid the omelette onto a plate and set it aside.
“Lost?” Luke pretended to be offended. He reached across the counter and slid the plate in front of him and took a huge bite from the omelette. He gave himself a quick second to enjoy the flavor, ignoring Deckard’s glare, before continuing. “I don’t get lost. I just find things I didn’t know I was looking for.”
Deckard’s face softened a fraction before settling into a smile. “That is very true.”
Understanding what he meant, Luke slid his hand across the counter and linked their index fingers together.
“Morning.” Toretto’s deep voice cut through the moment, causing both men to look over at the man who had just entered. Luke’s heart swelled when Deckard didn’t pull away as Dom noticed their hands touching. To his credit, Dom’s attention didn’t linger. He just moved around the kitchen to where the coffee pot was brewing.
After a moment Deckard slid his hand away and he returned to his task of making breakfast. He carefully slid some large sausage links into the sizzling frying pan, filling the room with the sound of crackling grease.
Luke licked his lips as the smell before glancing at Dom. “Sleep alright?”
“As good as it gets.” Toretto glanced at Deckard’s back before looking at Luke. “You?”
He ate another mouthful of Deckard’s omelette and smiled. “Like a baby.”
Dom splashed cream into his mug and poured another cup for Letty. “Funny, when I walked past your room it looked like your bed had barely been slept in.”
Deckard raised an amused eyebrow at Luke as he forked the sausages onto a new plate. His eyes seemed to ask ‘how are you going to explain this one, big guy?’
They weren’t ashamed of whatever it was they had together. But Luke liked having something for himself. Something that no one else knew about. Plus he wanted to be sure of exactly what he and Deckard were before he told Sam.
“Military training.” Luke swallowed. “Drill sergeants don’t just bounce quarters off beds in the movies.”
Dom nodded and turned to leave. And Luke could swear he saw him and Deckard share a quick smirk before departing.
Luke watched him leave before turning back to where Deckard stabbed a fork into one of the sausages and moved it toward his plate with the omelette. “That looks delicious.”
“Drill sergeant, huh?” Deckard asked, nearly setting the sausage on the plate before bringing it to his mouth and taking a slow intentional bite. And Luke really should have taken a cold shower before coming downstairs, because the sight of Deckard’s mouth wrapped around the sausage definitely got him a little excited.
Deckard finished chewing before continuing. “Well that sergeant must not have done a good job, because your bed is always a mess whenever I visit.”
Luke licked his lips. “And you don’t think maybe you have something to do with that?”
Deckard grinned and switched plates with Luke, giving him the sausages and retrieving his half-eaten omelette. “Shut up and eat your breakfast.”

It’s a man swimming with his selkie wife 😢 because he is an enlightened man who does not seek to control a woman by hiding her seal skin 🤷‍♀️ instead, he supports her seal-ness by swimming with her.
