PLEASE READ: The SMG4 Spotify account has been hacked and changed to contain NSFW content and harassment toward targeted individuals (which includes some people working in Glitch Productions). Please avoid it until everything's resolved. As some of you may know, not too long ago, the Glitch Productions Twitter account was taken over for a week by crypto hackers. While it was now recovered, it hasn't been confirmed that this recent hack was done by the same group, likely that it's not. An official statement has yet to be posted by Glitch/SMG4 Team. This is to say: this is an outrageous level of immaturity I've ever seen, trying to spread hate for their own agenda. Just awful. I'll post any update that comes out of it.

@ominus-potato Hello! Because you're mostly involved in rare pairs, here are some rare pairs I literally thought out last night that I thought would be interesting to you!

SMG2 x Anyone - SMG2 is EXTREMELY underrated. I put the anyone because I wasn't exactly sure who you could ship with them because the only screen time they have is with SMG1

Karen x Mario - CatVideo this, Cat Cafe that, what about Karen x Mario?!!? Mario cares so much about Karen and her kids! He helps Karen with handling her kids, was there for when they ended up homeless, and (even tho he was being manipulated) he wanted to babysit the kids because Karen's been so stressed out!! Karen has been shown to be nice with Mario at times (obviously not rn but) and her kids love hanging out with Mario. Mario could remind Karen of her ex maybe, but she knows Mario has good intentions and he cares.

Chris x Shadow - I gotta be honest, this is more of a crack ship because there is no confirmation that Shadow exists in the world of SMG4 but I thought it would be an interesting take. Since Swag x Sonic is canon, I thought it would be funny if Swag's best friend and Sonic's rival / frienemy to have something going on. It could make a good oneshot fic that I would personally read.

All of his videos have been either privated or (most likely) deleted because of what's been going on.

His most recent post is this community notice:

So he is in fact aware of what's he's done and he's (hopefully) planning to take accountability.

I strongly urge Cole to have a mature and reasonable response to this and to think things through, because I've seen many people try defending him despite how horrible some of these allegations are. Considering that C2BC is loved by a lot of people (myself included but I'm not defending him dw) and it's regarded as their comfort show from what I've seen on TikTok.

Now, I'm not entirely sure if these allegations are actually true or not. I haven't seen anyone gather any proof or someone from Cole's team speaking up about it. All I'm doing here is spreading the message to Tumblr as I've seen it on TikTok and YouTube. (Edit: Also reblog this post so it reaches more people. I have a small account with not many followers.)

Ruby - A parasitic spider creature bit her and dug into her skull, eating away at her brain until nothing remained. A black substance secreted from the parasite had Ruby's DNA in it. This substance, along with the parasite making itself at home in Ruby's hollowed out skull, allowed her to continue living in a way. A soul piloting her own corpse. However, this came with certain.. "side effects". Such as Ruby having wings, horns and a tail grow from her skin, vomiting the black goo as her body attempted to reject it and having it spread all around her body, face and eyes. And most notably, having to feel and witness her own eye rotting out of it's socket.

Cercise - Daughter of a witch that specialized in light magic and abilities. She was always bested by her sister and turned to dark magic. Light magic is more of a artificial kind of magic, using wands and staffs. Dark magic is more organic, as the energy feeds off the soul of the user. Cercise allowed herself to be consumed, since it meant being better at something than her sister.

Elijah - Grew up in a distant kingdom in a dimension seperate from the human realm, set up to be the future queen of his homeland. At the age of 7, he wanted to make some tea for his parents as a surprise. It was early in the morning and he didn't want to wake anyone so he tried to make it himself. This led to a major house fire that took the life of his father. His mother and even Elijah himself blames him for the cause of his father's death. This led to Elijah's mother becoming distant, more strict and downright abusive to him and his sister, Eleanor. Elijah has earned both emotional and physical scars from his mother's abuse. When he couldn't take it anymore, he and his sister fled to the human realm to escape his mother and her pressures.

Eleanor - Grew up in a distant kingdom in a dimension seperate from the human realm, set up to be the future king of her homeland. Eleanor was remarkably kind to her peers, and instead of being thankful, her peers took advantage of her thoughtfulness. After the death of her father, Eleanor and her mother's relationship become rocky, with her mother becoming distant, more strict and downright abusive towards her. Even after fleeing to the human realm with her brother, Elijah. Eleanor still craves the love and comfort her mother said she would give.

SMG5 <- -> SMG3

Swap!SMG6: A YouTuber with a small subscriber count, gaining a following from his gameplay Videos and animations. Though he's unsatisfied with the small count and purchases the infamous cursed keyboard which leads to this universe's version of IGBP, though SMG6 only has Pikachu to turn to during it.

SMG6 struggles with overworking himself to achieve high quality videos and talking about his feelings, which SMG4 helps out with.

Swap!SMG5: Never grew out of her emo/brooding phase. Lonely and angry with the world and specifically SMG6 for living her dream of having a (somewhat) successful youtube channel. She only starts being a better person towards SMG6 due to SMG3's annoying persistence of her being better, especially after what happened to SMG6.

Swap!SMG4: SMG6's mentor, helps with his youtube channel and sometimes makes collab videos on SMG4's channel to help it get out there. SMG4 chats with SMG6 about being more open with his thoughts and feelings.

Swap!SMG3: SMG5's mentor, acts like a fun uncle towards her. He still runs his own coffee shop and forces SMG5 to volunteer as a way of teaching her about empathy and improving herself. (It's mostly to make sure she doesn't blow anything up)

Opinions on smg4 ships?

Wowzers!

SMG34 - 10/10 fav ship. I enjoy their chemistry and story wise it makes sense

Mar4 - 7/10 I don't personally ship it but I get where it's coming from. I enjoy when ships have good chemistry tho it doesn't seem like it'll work out in the current era cuz I feel Mario and SMG4's friendship is a bit strained imo (in my opinion)

Mar3 - 6/10 I honestly don't see it. They do have their moments but they seem better as friends

Meggy x Tari - 8/10 surprising I don't really see them being a couple, despite with the amount of chemistry and how well they get along but its still a cute ship

Tari x Saiko - 8/10 for some reason I see these two being a thing even tho they have half the screentime as Meggy x Tari

MarWare - 9/10 My big headcannon on Mario is that he's AroAce because he doesn't seem like the person to be really interested in romance based on the videos and such, but I will say this is another favourite ship as it's so silly :3

BadgeHunter (Shroomy x Hal Monitor) - 8/10 I really like seeing the fan art of this ship. While I don't really get rarepairs they're still really fun.

Bob1 (SMG1 x Bob) - 7/10 It's a fun rarepair and I don't have much to say about it
