What better way to unwind than to spend time in an aesthetic cafe with an American in hand? Ahyoung had a lot to consider when it came to her family, her studies and life going forward. Many people saw her as a woman who had her life together. Both of her parents doctors of some sort, growing up in Chelsea, she went to school for nursing and was now working as a supervising coordinator for Manchester Royal. Why wasn’t she happy, though? Feeling unfulfilled in such a manner wasn’t the future she’d planned for herself, yet it seemed as though nothing she tried fixed it. There were yoga classes, therapy, hell she’d even created her own brew of personal drinking tea thinking it would create a foundation for her life that once felt incredibly empty. Setting the mug in her hand down on top of the table, she took a deep breath and stared into what she thought was the abyss when her vision finally refocused and she’d noticed she’d been staring a hole into someone’s forehead. “Ah, I’m sorry..” she said to them softly, bowing her head regretfully and clearing her throat. “How are you today?”

“We’re starting off nice and simple? Fair enough. Okay so true or false.. you’re attracted to me.” A cheeky smile plastered across his face before knocking back another shot and sliding the glass to one side before wiggling his eyebrows at her. “That’s an easy one, right?”

“False.” she answered quickly, almost as if she hadn’t given a second thought in the slightest. When she realized that could come off as cold and a little rude, she held her hands up nervously and offered a weak, crooked smile. “I mean, you are a handsome man, truly, sir. I’m just... um...” how could she word it without seeming like a complete weirdo? A hand came up once again to motion slightly. “I don’t get attracted to someone easily. I hope you understand.”

“Truth or dare?” Knight questioned as he knocked back the shot in his hand and placed it on the bar. An eyebrow twitched at the other as he waited on an answer. Knight finally had a knight off from work and intended on making it worth his while which is how he ended up 10 shots deep, roughly 5 jaeger bombs in and who knows how many pints later. @mancstart​

Slender fingers gently tucked strands of hair behind her ear as the man spoke to her, only she was initially painfully unaware of his attempt at getting her attention. “Huh?” she asked upon finally realizing that he was speaking to her. A light chuckle left her lips and she lifted her shoulders into a slight shrug. “Mmm.. truth?” she was always the type to take the safe way out.

          “I DON’T KNOW,” Hazel said as she turned her head. “I like to think there is good in everyone.” She seemingly been contemplating it for a while and the faint wrinkles between her eyebrows showed that she was thinking about it hard. It wasn’t necessarily a hard question to think about - but she couldn’t help it. “I mean, what do you think? Is there such thing as a good or bad person?” she asked.

Running her fingers through the strands of her long dark hair in order to pull it up into a loose bun, Ahyoung’s head tilted to one side at her friend’s words, pushing the glasses up on her nose and giving it genuine thought before even attempting to deliver an answer. “Well, I would say that each person has qualities that are both good and bad..” she began with a light sigh as she sat back in her seat, arms folding over her chest to dive deeper into her own thought process. “But I do think that someone can be inherently good or bad to the core. There are bad people who do good things, good people who do bad things, so on and so forth..”

          HER SMILE REMAINED AS THEY TURNED TOWARDS AHYOUNG, even though she knew nothing about plants or shrubbery. Well, she knew about them but when it came to trying to care for them, she was not utterly useless. “I guess it depends on what you’re looking for exactly. And what you already have,” she replied. “I mean, you probably want the new one to compliment what you already have, right?”

Had Ahyoung not been practically forced to learn about plants from her mother, she would’ve been in the same boat as Avery with not knowing how to take care of them. What she’d initially seen as a curse was actually just a blessing in disguise. Her mother cared for her and wanted the best. “Definitely, but I can’t help but wonder if I should get something to spice up the colors a bit. Winter can be so dreadful sometimes, you know?”

       ❝  do  you  want  this  ??  ❞  jaemin  asked,  eyebrows  knitted  as  he  frowned  down  at  the  smoothie  in  his  hands  which  he  bought  not  even  twenty  minutes  ago.  he’s  fairly  certain  this  wasn’t  what  he  ordered  or  what  a  strawberry  banana  smoothie  tasted  like.  or  at  least  he  thought  so.  jaemin  concluded  he  needed  to  be  more  healthier  in  his  daily  life  and  figured  to  substitute  a  sugary  carbonated  drink  for  something  more  healthy.  he’d  had  strawberries  before,  but  for  whatever  reason  something  was  off.  chocolate  hues  averted  over  to  the  person  beside  him  and  extended  the  beverage  to  them.  ❝  i  don’t  like  it  that  much  and  i  don’t  think  it’s  what  i  ordered.  i  only  had  two  sips  and  i  can  get  you  a  new  straw  if  you  want.  ❞  @mancstart​

Having been someone who would never turn down feed or beverages offered to her, Ahyoung immediately reached a well manicured hand to grab ahold of the smoothie, taking a sip of it and immediately taking offense to the fact that Jaemin offered it to her in the first place. “Wae? Wae Geurae? Eung?” Immediately switching to Korean so she could be completely sure that Jaemin would understand the words she was saying. The excitement at which she’d grabbed the smoothie had completely disippated and she was utterly disgusted. “That has the most absurd piquancy I’ve consumed in all of my twenty-three years of living, Jaemin..” but she didn’t want him to think she was upset persay, so she quickly gave him a hug and pulled back. “I wll just... assume this was made for animal consumption only... and I won’t take it personally.”

           THERE WAS SOMETHING SATISFYING ABOUT DEPOSITING A STACK OF SINGLES. At least for Avery there was. She had gone from cheques that normally needed piece of identification to verify to walking up to the teller and setting down piles of crumpled up notes. The looks she got gave her a small bit of sanctification and it was like a high that stayed with her for the rest of the day. “Isn’t it such a beautiful day,” she said aloud. Despite the sky being covered in clouds and the sun no where to be seem, Avery could not help but look up at the sky and smile, almost as if she was trying to have the sun peak through. It was very unlikely though.

Ahyoung herself was someone who’d always seen the glass as half full, so she would agree that the day was beautiful even when the skies were murky. To her, each new day was a second chance and she wasn’t going to let life take grip of her unending love for it and contaminate it. “It is a lovely day, isn’t it? I was just thinking about purchasing some new shrubbery for my living room, any ideas?” she questioned the other woman with a warm smile. There was something about owning a home full of plants that brought her pure joy. Maybe it was the consistent clear air.

Ahyoung was born in Chelsea, London to a plastic surgeon and a veterinary doctor. Their names are Susan & Jeffery respectively, they gave Ahyoung a Korean name to be more in touch with her roots than they were.

Though she speaks fluent Korean, her accent is very obvious and sometimes it makes it difficult for Koreans to understand her.

She moved to Manchester shortly after finishing her nursing degree, but ultimately decided she didn’t want to be a nurse and settled into the clerical side of the hospital.

Despite her parents being overbearing, they purchased a condo for her in Manchester so she wouldn’t have to worry about rent but she often worries that they bugged the place with cameras

She has a Pomeranian named Mochi that she brings everywhere with her.

She’s allergic to fresh peaches, but she can eat them cooked or drink peach drinks. It’s odd, really.

She visits Korea very often and her parents have a house in Seoul which she stays at. The other rooms are used as airbnb lodging so tat they can make money on the house when they aren’t there.

Sometimes she doesn’t know how to have fun and it becomes an issue with her friends. Bur she’s working on breaking out of her shell.
