I've ask my class to keep a record of the things they are learning and to push themselves to go outside their comfort zone. So here I am on Tumblr - sharing my wonders of the world around me :)

Seeing my students step out of their comfort zone and try something new makes me incredibly happy. So great that you enjoyed your time there; they would be so lucky to have you working with them!
I worked with the center of excellence today at school. And I learned that I really like it and maybe go in that type of work . Sure I was nervous at first but there so nice and kind….. I loved it and I hope I get to work with them again 😍

Podcasts
Sarah asked for some of the Podcasts that I listen to, so here are a couple that I enjoy.  I really enjoyed the series Serial (that I showed to you the other day), I also have listened to: Q, DNTO, Radiolab, The Moth, Women of the Hour, Limetown, Invisibilia, Slate’s Political Gabfest, This American Life… But I’m always looking for new podcasts so can’t wait to read what you have found!

I showed you this a couple of years ago, but I thought that you might appreciate it even more now that you have experienced the work place.

Quote
I think the big mistake in schools is trying to teach children anything, and by using fear as the basic motivation. Fear of getting failing grades, fear of not staying with your class, etc. Interest can produce learning on a scale compared to fear as a nuclear explosion to a firecracker.
