Robotiq Grippers Excel at the DARPA Robotics Challenge
The Robotiq 3-finger gripper was the gripper of choice at the latest DARPA Robotics Challenge, with two of the podium finishers using it.  In total, 8 teams out of 23 chose Robotiq as their gripping solution.  More details here.

Rethink Robotics Announces $26.6 Million Series D Round of Financing
Rethink Robotics announced $26.6 million in Series D financing today.  New Investors GE Ventures and Goldman Sachs bring the cumulative investment to $100 million.  All of their earlier investors also participated in the round.

Robotiq Announces New Force Sensor for Robotics
Robotiq has just released a 6-Axis Force Torque Sensor for force and position control applications.  It easy to integrate, and offers immunity from external electrical noise.  Users can wire the signal directly into a digital input in the robot controller (no need for an external signal processing box).  Applications include robotic hand guiding, finishing, assembly tasks, and product testing.
