alright, i need some opinions from my readers!!

i’ve been working on this shaunahat fic. it’s post-rescue, melissa-centric (and probably ooc at this point since i started it before the…gun incident…) basically, it takes place between 1997 and 2004, which is when i’ve decided melissa fakes her suicide. i know it’s probably way off from canon, but i came up with the idea before the full reveal and just kept tweaking it as more of the show came out ���

it’s probably around 25k words (i’ve been working on it for months atp), and i’m not sure i’ll ever actually finish it. but not posting what i do have feels like such a waste?? and maybe sharing it would give me some motivation again?? GUYS HELP.

yikes! you’ll probably notice some proper changes at first, and then your hormones’ll go all over the place — boom! (well, not literally) (or so we hope).

you’ve got to take it around the same time every day, or it might not work as well — i’d set a little alarm or link it to something you always do, like brushing your teeth or having breakfast. some (NOT ALL, do not panic!) people get a few side effects at first (like mood swings, sore boobs, maybe a bit of nausea, much more) but that usually settles after a couple of months.

and hey, if something feels really wrong or uncomfortable, don’t just power through, be kind to yourself while your body adjusts. talk to someone or rant about it!

i should probably mention (if i understood it right): it’s not the pill (like the most common one?) but a type that’s also used for birth control, just with lower associated risks? it can technically be discontinued at any time if the side effects suck too much! so we shall see…i’ll be making it everyone’s problem and keep you guys updated 🤗

thank you so much for asking!! my appointment actually went surprisingly well (rare occasion, but i’ll take it. i usually get extreme appointment anxiety 😭) they ended up prescribing me the pill, so i might be starting that next month…if anyone has experience, please share because i’m lowkey shitting myself. (my periods are so bad they basically decided we need to eliminate them entirely LMAO)
