Alley 64
Alley64 is a family owned kind of bar / restaurant establishment. Founded in 2008. Three brothers had a dream to create a fun, family friendly place w a neighborhood feel and high quality menu. The first location is in St Charles and their 2nd location is in Palatine. I decided to go to the Palatine location, which is located right next to The Harley Davidson motorcycle store. Pulling into the parking lot the outside resembled a biker bar. At 7 pm on a Tuesday, seemed a little empty yet it could be the covid 19 stipulations. As I found my seat, I couldn't help but notice this cute little sign (wifi password) very thoughtful!! Both bartenders were checking on me immediately. I ordered beef tenderloin skewers and a salad. I was very impressed with extensive menu choices including quesadillas and shrimp, wings, pastas and specialty sandwiches, build your own burgers, with a $5.99 kids menu, and much more. I was also impressed by the amount of TV's! I'm literally able to watch the Cubs, The WhiteSox, the Cowboys , and some comedy shows on WGN. ( blackish ) (well played) The bathrooms were not extremely clean, yet they did have some charm to them. My food was absolutely amazing. I actually overheard another customer saying" I love your menu."After checking out their website, I watched a cute wedding video of one of the owners I assume, and other events and parties from their past, and was very entertained! Learned about their apparel with their logos and such ( alley wear) which was priced fairly from $18 $28 w extra large sizes available. They had $5 drink special and taco Tuesday specials along with some turkey grinders and such all under $15 each. I really liked almost everything about this restaurant and would return. After looking around online through reviews I found some negative backlash from the owners who are racist and trump supporters, allegedly. If this was my business I would address this immediately, instead of just carrying on, makes me wonder if this is why it was lacking customers. Some things I think would help also is if they utilized they're outdoor patio, they have advertised w covered seating. So in con conclusion, I had a nice time and even felt compelled to write my own review. I would recommend the food to anyone needing freshly prepared food w real ingredients that are tasty and uniquely cooked. Free ufc fights on their TV's? Seems like they have a lot that could be utilized and improved. Alley 64
