Tom Hegen AIRPORTS Making-of from Tom Hegen on Vimeo.
The photo book AIRPORTS is dedicated to a place to which most travellers often pay little attention on their way to their
destination. Nevertheless, the view from above shows
a very autonomous, graphic, and almost illustrative quality of airports. Between terminal facilities and runway markings, the airplanes on concrete taxiways become a miniature edition of themselves. A showplace that reveals order in the chaos when viewed from a great distance. Its smooth operation is due to planners, architects, and engineers. Airports are catalysts of a highly mobile society and a connecting link between continents, countries, towns, and people.

This is a personal project that would not have been possible without the support of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. Thanks to the entire team for their generous access during training exercises and patrols this Summer. Since the Service began in 1973, it has carried out more than 21,000 missions ranging from urgent patient transfers to dangerous search and rescue missions.
This film is 100% 'real', but there are some new techniques for me here, such as using time lapse to create the illusion of forward movement for the helicopter ocean scenes. These flight sequences would not be possible without the skill and patience of Chief Pilot Peter Yates. Thanks also to Trevor Cracknell (for getting wet!) and Family.

For 'The Lion City', the idea behind the extension of the tilt shift technique is for focus and distance to be something the viewer can experience. It also doubles to communicate the constant heat and humidity that hits you whenever you leave the comfort of air conditioning in Singapore.

Lion City Rising from Keith Loutit on Vimeo.
When we pass by landscapes they appear fixed in time but they change around us constantly. Singapore has gone through an incredible change over the past 8 years, and I have tried to capture as much of this change as possible. There were no permanent cameras used in this film, it required regular site visits over 988 shoot days and over 3300 matched shots.

sandarah from Yousef on Vimeo.
. this film based on a true story that happened durning the iraqi invasion on kuwait in 1990 this is my first short animation , i spend 1 year and five months to finish it including the idea , it was a very hard work for one person to do , I'm glad that its finally done . and many thanks to my friends who shows their support by helping me in the final stage of producing such as FX , color correction , voice recording and sound tracks . by the way sandarah is an old kuwaiti word , and it means the storage that located upper any rooms door . SANDARAH awarded in VOYA festival in hollywood as the best short animation , and participate in DIFF festival and VIEW festival so far .

The Paddleboarder: Sony A7S III in ProRes RAW w/ Atomos Ninja V from Philip Bloom on Vimeo.
Super in-depth independent review coming very shortly!
This is the second of two videos I made for Sony for the launch of the LONG awaited A7S III, this one was made in conjunction with Atomos to show the ProRes RAW from the camera with the Ninja V.
You can watch the first video, "Now I See: Part 2" here: vimeo.com/philipbloom/a7siii
This video is quite different, it follows Julian Wakefiled as he heads up the River Thames on a standup paddleboard (my one in fact!) It is a very relaxing journey with only natural sound used, no music.
It was filmed from the riverbank using a tripod and on a boat resting on a bag which was very challenging when at the end of the Sony 100-400 F4.5-5.6 lens! The other lenses used are listed below.
Thanks to Julian and to Sarah Seal who once again took photos and shot BTS video for the review.

beyond the horizon from Rus Khasanov on Vimeo.
Full project: behance.net/gallery/101096997/horizon Video by Rus Khasanov. Music by Dmitry Evgrafov. Сomposition «Humble In Heart» from his upcoming album «Surrender». dmitry-evgrafov.bandcamp.com
As with all my art projects, in «beyond the horizon» I used simple materials to create a new visual experiment. Behind this project there are dozens of shooting days, during which hundreds of gigabytes of photos and videos were filmed with Sony a7RII and Sony a7RIV. There were 5 final versions of this video, which I reworked adding new footage again and again. While working on this project, I was faced with the constant following of the ideal shot, which is so close and distinct, but constantly disappears beyond the horizon.
