Look what a friend of mine sent me. Apparently he gets to see this dog regularly. He said something about having to go there pick up meteorite dust. I have yet to figure out if the dog’s name is just ‘meteorite dust’ or if he picks up actual space rocks. Well at least from looking at the picture… honestly both could be possible. He does look like just a meteorite in dog shape.
I wonder how it would feel to pet it?

I’ll admit, I was never exactly a good gardener. Don’t get me wrong, I love nature and flowers (especially roses) but whatever plant I touch it just seems to wilt. Oh well, guess I’ll just stick to admiring them. But sometimes, when I get the chance to just take a walk through a forest I feel like I’m being watched. Like every part of this ecosystem feels my foreign presence. Whenever I step on a root or pick up a fruit. Trying to see if I’m friend or foe. If it has to fend me off or can interact with me. I’m sorry, I swear I mean no harm.
Strange, I know, don’t judge me.

I had a dog when I was younger. A german shepherd. Troubled guy but absolutely lovely once I befriended him. He was with me throughout most of my youth but died when I was 16. Sometimes I wish I could see him again. Or imagine he walks somewhere behind me when I go on missions, you know, protecting me.
And if he couldn’t do that, maybe at least stay with me until the end…
But alas, at least for me that is just a fantasy.

"More of a nickname really. Backstory as weird aa the guy himself. No idea what his actual name is. And and about this building… Think secret government research and military base. Just that we‘re not a government. It‘s more- wait… I probably should stop talking." He laughs sheepishly.
"It‘s just been so long since I had an even remotely normal conversation."
Random guy flops in from... the air somewhere??
H-holy hell, this isn't my office, who're you? Why've you all got guns?? Goddammit, I'm gonna get written up for being late again-
"Uh hey..? Where did you come from? I’m Agent Sterling but who are you?”

I feel… weird. Something isn‘t right. But I just can‘t pinpoint what. I can‘t help but think it might have something to do with those god awful polaroids.
I‘m not feeling good. I‘m cold. I‘m warm. I see but don‘t realise what I‘m seeing. Is this real?
am I real?
Someone make it stop.

"I mean… why not? As long as I get to stay in this world…"
He stands up and marches through the hallways of the facility, carefully checking around corners and avoiding busy places.
"No need of anyone to see you here. Trust me"
*a Partypooper no clips in there confused about this place* is this a new level?
"HOLY F-!"
"What is it with people randomly jump-scaring me in my own base…"
"Who are you and where do you come from? And new ‚new level‘?"

The anonymous letter writer send me some mail again. Same dirty envelope and a single polaroid. Same writing. ‘To my old friend Sterling’. And still no idea who it is. But I digitalized the polaroid like last time and this is what I got.
Usually storm clouds feel threatening but I can’t help but feel like these bring relief… But I have no idea what exactly is up with these horses. I mean they are pretty, I used to do horseback riding as a child but I’m pretty sure they don’t just roam deserts like this one. Usually.
They feel peaceful somehow. Like things will be okay wherever they go… And this landscape looks like it desperately needs some good things.

Hi,
how many days of vacation do I get as a MTF agent per year?
…and is the Foundation allowed to ban me from visiting certain places without reason?
Hope you‘re having a good day.
-Agent Sterling, Lambda-5
( @mtf-agent-sterling is the blog this is supposed to be from but I don‘t know how to manage main and side blogs at all :)) )
Just ran it by the department- those in MTF forces get 15-35 vacation days, though "vacation" is in big old air quotes since some mtfs have.. less agents than others, leading to a few rare occasions that we need to pull you out of those days off. (We'll make up for it! If you don't get notified that the vacation days have been refunded within the week, go straight to the recordkeeping dept. and let them know)
As for visiting, it's highly dependent on where, as well as the individual. Can't be too careful around the public!
My day's been well, thank you! Be safe out there!

Was send to therapy after what happened yesterday. Well probably not only because of yesterday but because I’m mentally screwed overall. But who isn’t? Anyways, I just had my first session and honestly… I think it actually kind of helped. Just… talking about stuff. Not just on here, typing it out but actually saying it out loud. So yeah, I recommend therapy. Though I feel like there are a few people here who need it more. Like A LOT more.
Though I’m also sorry for Dr.Glass to have to put up with whatever madness the people here could possible throw at him.

Just some more shenanigans today, new SCP tomorrow.

Today was… rough. I was terrified. I mean some existential horror is normal but this time it was… a lot. A lot worse. My hands are still shaking while I’m typing this but I need to get at least some of this out of my system. I can’t give like any details at all but… yeah.
I’m just glad we had the Scranton Reality Anchors. Being in proximity to a working one is always a lot of mental pressure but we’re trained to handle it. And it’s better than just… nothing being really real at all. But sometimes I wonder how exactly they work. Like… how can a technological device just… stabilize reality like that? I tried to ask some people but no one told me anything, though I assume no one knows much more. But I’d like to understand what exactly the devices are that our lives rely on.
But instead of answers I got a warning. Well not really a warning, more a…. piece of advice is what they called it. ‘High level scientists put a lot of effort and sacrifices into this and I should just be glad they exist.’ That’s Foundation for ‘keep your nose out of things above your clearance’. And I’m a lot of things but not interested in dying or getting amnestics. No, thank you. Anyways, I’ll take the advice to heart and just thank Scranton for the existence of his Reality Anchors. I assume at least ‘Scranton’ is someone’s name…

My vacation was pretty short but also nice. I never thought I’d enjoy fishing but it was actually very relaxing. Maybe I should start doing it by myself too. ⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ was good company, as always. Though he seemed a bit… unsettled. No, that’s not the right word, more restless. Yeah, that fits. He was rather skittish, never really sitting still. Constantly on the move. But other than that it was great.
And I was never much of a fan of citrus fruits but he really made some great stuff. My favorite was probably the orange tea. Loved it. Though I have no idea how he could eat so many of them. Like there was no point in time where his fridge was not filled with at least 4 pounds of citrus fruits. But whatever makes him happy I guess.
He told me a few things about his childhood too. He was apparently part of some cult and his parents are still. And it also had something to do with moths though he didn’t give many details. Quite unsettling if you asked me. I’m glad he got away though, hope he’ll never get caught up with that again…

Willow trees will always be my favourite but SCPs that affect you in your sleep or have anything to do with sleep overall are honestly ones of my least favourites.
I mean… imagine you just go to sleep and suddenly you wake up miles underground and have to somehow try to dig your way back up. And there is no guarantee that what you find on the surface will be kind to you…

Put up a camera near my desk. I’m pretty sure that is not just a monkey digging through my stuff. So that’s where my chem lights and ballpoint pen springs are going. But just… why??? I mean why do only mine get stolen? Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever get an answer. Just… maybe stop? No idea what I did but I kinda need that stuff… Maybe I should start keeping that stuff in my locker. Only in the Foundation do I have to worry about a coworker in the body of a monkey stealing springs and chem lights. How did I end up here?
On a more positive note, I got a new vacation approved. Delayed the trip to San Jose though. Want to visit an old friend of mine. He’s a really great guy, a little strange sometimes but the best company. I mean he did grew up in some weird insect cult (???). At least that’s what he told me. Was all very vague. I’m really looking forward to his dry jokes though. He isn’t even a dad yet but already tells the best worst jokes. I hate that I genuinely laugh at them.
