one day at work everything is rushed and harried because a coworker never came in and later in the day a news story reveals they died a violent, public, brutal, bloody death; you feel bad for feeling overloaded at work. the next day, your coworker comes into work, nobody has any memory of the event, and your coworker keeps shooting you pleading glances as if to beg for your silence

i feel like we don't appreciate these days how much the twin towers sucked, like, design-wise

they were contemporarily hated for just being these giant grey monoliths

like there probably could've been an easier way to get rid of them, but they probably needed to go either way
