@ltwilliammowett do you know of have any resources/demos about how this would have been used? I’m familiar with garment making bodkins but I’ve only seen them with a clip or some kind of eye to hold the thread/ribbon .
I’m interested to see how sailors would keep the rope from slipping off. Just tying a really good knot, probably?
