Okay angel! Good morning! [it’s morning for me] I just saw your reply and I completely agree with you! So here i propose another thought: househusband [more like house pet] remmick!

I feel like he would definitely not mind staying at home to take care of the house if reader works. Actually, I feel like he’d be ecstatic because he gets to surround himself in YOUR space. You get what I’m saying? Like he totally is grinning super wide the first few days of living with you because he’s in YOUR house!! He can walk around and see little photos of you hung about the living room or even better he can go into your bedroom and lay in the SAME bed you lay in every night!! That’s YOUR clothes in the closet and everything in there is just so YOU. [ugh the weird stalker tendencies just never quite go away, I’m afraid. Even if he’s living in your house atp]

I can just see him in an apron in your kitchen trying to cook dinner for you. And because for him, his sustenance is just blood and because blood naturally has that salty tang to it, he probably adds a little too much salt to your food on accident. In his defense, he thought it would taste good!!

He definitely freezes and perks up in excitement when he hears the doorknob on the front door start to jiggle [you’re home!!] and the moment it opens, he’s attacking you in a hug. Cupping his cheeks and kissing all over your face. And you’re not getting away that easy either. He’ll stay clinging to you as you’re trying to take off your shoes and jacket by the door.

The only downside of this is him not liking that he doesn’t see you for long periods of time but in your defense, you literally HAVE to work to put a roof over his pale pasty ass so he can live. He pouts every time you bring that up and huffs before turning away from you with a frown [sassy man apocalypse]

He’s just the perfect lil husband, massaging your shoulders while you eat the dinner he so lovingly made you, while asking you many many questions about your day [so many that you can’t even respond between actually trying to eat said dinner and replying to him]

He definitely acts like those clingy dogs and stays in the steamed up bathroom while you take a shower. He’d try to get in with you but you know damn well he’s not just gonna let you shower, and you’re too tired to do anything so he just stays leaning against the sink, waiting for you to finish showering. Or better yet! He’s already in the bedroom picking out clothes for you to wear after you shower so you don’t have to be all cold and shivering in your towel trying to find clothes. The whole time he’s just sitting on the counter or the edge of the bed with the stupidest smile ever whilst watching you change and get ready for bed.

I think he’d be the best house husband ever.

[though I also just thought of another toxic headcannon that since remmick is a vampire and therefore doesn’t have the same vulnerabilities or weaknesses that humans have, it can probably lead to him going down this kinda sick and twisted mentality towards human darling in which he sees them as weak and fragile and easily manipulated. Infantilization can be so mentally exhausting and disorienting. Especially after remmick has seen human darling in a sick and ill form in which they can’t do much and now remmick is treating them like they can’t do anything for themselves and don’t know how to take care of themselves either. Cut to him being like “see? You need me, you’re so weak and fragile because you’re human. You can’t live without me.” I feel like this would give him another excuse to encourage his thoughts of turning human reader as fast as he can. If human reader wants it or not]

I LOVE the concept of Remmick not remembering how to be a human, I feel like his social awkwardness already shows you that yeah, in canon, he doesn't know how to act "normally". Your toxic headcanon sounds so accurate tbh. I personally don't like the idea of toxic!Remmick because I'm too much of a dom who needs to be in control so I like to flip the idea on it's head and have the READER be the toxic one (see my other recent ask post about my idea of a self-sacrificing Remmick). But yeah I feel like your headcanon would be closer to canon lol.

I'll share one of my songs that I like to imagine Remmick to which is Saccharine by Jazmin Bean, a song about being obsessed with someone so much that it physically hurts you.

I feel like if Remmick's obsession with someone turned into obsessive love he would forgo his own health for his partner. This man is desperate to be loved, he would run out into the blazing Mississippi sunlight just to get down on his knees and beg you not to leave him. He would acquire (this man is broke you know he stole it) a fancy ass silverware set for you and use them to eat nothing but garlic soup just so you can feel like you are with a normal human man if you wanted it. He would hurt himself for you, maybe even kill himself for you.

I Lied to You may be objectively the best song in Sinners, but my favorite is actually Last Time (I Seen the Sun). It plucks my heartstrings just right (especially the way Miles sings "live like it's the last time for a long time, at the wrong time..." UGH)

Looking at my list I didn't think Will ye go would be so high, but honestly it's really good for my vocal range and very fun to sing along to so that's a big reason why it's so high hehe.

For my last note here I'm really not sure if I want to put Pale, Pale Moon BEFORE or AFTER Dangerous. They both have very different vibes which makes it hard to compare them, so I'm just gonna say they are tied for the spot they are in.

Listening to music and trying to daydream about Remmick to whatever song comes up next and suddenly it's a badass fast-paced rap song and I want to imagine him being really cool like one of those character edits but I can't cause ITS REMMICK

So Ryan Coogler said that Remmick is partially inspired by Death from Puss in Boots: the Last Wish and that baffled me when I first heard it. Not because I don't see the inspiration but because of the fact that Puss in Boots is an animated movie. Animation has been looked at as a lesser media for film for a long time, reduced to "just for kids" and, while things have gotten much better, there is still that misconception (my reaction made me realize I still have that misconception). I just think it's so cool that a respected and skillful director who has only made live action films took inspiration from an animated movie (and one so recent compared to, say, him taking inspiration from a villain he saw in a movie from his childhood).
