i have like four assignments left for college- a like. video presentation thing? an essay revision, a coding assignment, and a video game why am i being so cringe
here's some i'm aware of! Sorry for not adding links I'm on mobile
Indigo Elder = "The Old Man and the Sea" by Ernest Hemingway, outright quoted
Queequeg = Seems to have elements from "The Little Mermaid" by Hans Christian Anderson, most notably with her fascination with sunsets and her. Literally being a mermaid. I can back this if wanted I have Little Mermaid right here-
...OH ALSO DON QUIXOTE has a secondary source in the musical 'Man of La Mancha-' notable by her directly quoting it over Don Quijote.
Also edit I just saw you separated abnos and characters sorry for repeating things you already said
Here it is, an incomplete list of references connected to characters and abnormalities, used by Project Moon in their games. The focus wasn't to collect absolutely everything because it wouldn't be readable, so I didn't include the exclusively story related ones (Example: Library of Babel).
Each entry has link to source where you can read more about it in English, mostly to Wikipedia. I had trouble finding sources for Asia centric references and most likely missed many other things. So if you find anything that isn't on this list and you have sources in English for them, feel free to DM me! I'm gonna update it ASAP.
it literally feels like that. woe the unnamed mermaid from the little mermaid is now a guy. the prince he likes in the book stays the same and all of his sisters are now references to OTHER Anderson works.
then it's even funnier when a character that pops up then proceeds to share source material with your sinner oc like no way????? the unnamed mermaid from the little mermaid is now being combined with queequeg moby dick and is now a lesbian harpooner??? hey???
making Limbus Company ocs is crazy. why am I making Alex A Clockwork Orange woke and a he/they ????
