All he could do was roll his eyes as she paced around because he should have expected this, never had she kept her massive nose out of his business, and considering he had to always respect her wishes it was a little rich. Whenever she shouted at him he tended not to listen, preferring to roll his eyes or to mutter something sarcastic, but as soon as she came closer, and her tone got a little softer, he finally looked back at her. However, he still couldn’t believe that Dorcas would be someone like that , be someone who would want him hurt like that. It really did not sound like her, and he bowed his head momentarily. “What if you’re wrong, what if Doni is wrong, and I listen to you both? What if I lose my last chance of happiness, because we both know I might not make it out of this war alive. I could have had something special with someone, like you have with Bertie, why can I not have that?” Damien stared back at her, sighing under his breath, quite sadly. “I was always destined to be the one left out of our little trio, both of you get your happiness, and I have to be alone.” Moving back from her, he glanced out at the window, but frowned when he saw Bertie was returning alone. “Where’s Maggie? Where the fuck is my daughter?!” Damien bellowed once Bertie had entered the house, looking more than a little distressed, and explained how she was taken by some masked figures, and apologised profusely to Damien who looked like he was about to kill him, his hands straight away clasping around Bertie’s throat.
“Oh yes Damien, because me being concerned for you possibly going to Azkaban is such a bloody burden, poor you.” She was pacing now, any motherly glow she’d had was gone and she was that angry she was positive she’d just combust at him any minute. “You’re telling me about her as if I give a bloody crap… Newsflash Damien, she’s not my friend anymore! I couldn’t hand her a second thought, you’ve known me all my life and didn’t seem to pick up on that… Good one.” It wasn’t that she was jealous anymore, because she was, it was about her bestfriend and how he’d been so desperate for female attention that he’d neglected to realise the traitor in his bed. “No woman is good enough for you, not Andromeda, who fucking left you for another man… Not Persephone who up and disappeared. And certainly not Dorcas who is manipulating you.” Aurora huffed heavily, she was sick of this, he needed to know but of course he was being blind and far too stubborn for his own good. Walking over the room to him she pulled him to her, her hands cupping his face and their bodies pressed close together, her bump pressing into him. “Listen to me. Listen to me Damien.” Rory spoke firmly, taking no bullshit from him this time. “For as long as I could remember, I was in love with you… Dorcas knew. I cannot express how strange the timing of all of this is, Riley turning to the Dark Lord, her dumping him because of it, him dying and then her seeking you out… I am worried for you, I am worried for Maggie.” Her blue eyes looked into his, pleading with him to understand how serious this situation was. “Please Dame, if I’m right, if Doni is right, she wants you in Azkaban… Oli needs his Godfather… The twins need their Godfather Damien.”

“Okay, well you can give it to him when he wakes up then, it’s just a plush dog” Damien shrugged, handing her the parcel but he knew that he was going to end up having to speak to her like he did with his other friend. Truthfully, he was beginning to get rather frustrated by it all. “I know you want to say something, so go ahead, don’t hold back on my account”
To say Adonia was annoyed with her best friend was a huge understatement, as was to say that she disliked the attitude he walked into her home with. “He’s sleeping.” Was all she answered with while wiping her hands on a towel as she stood in the kitchen, staring at her friend with pursed lips. She wasn’t angry at him per say, however after her conversation and relevations with Rory, she was cross with his recent decisions.

“You work for them do you not?!” Damien was shaking, for the first time in his life he felt completely helpless, he had no idea how to get his daughter back and he was beginning to decide that just killing anyone he saw from the Ministry was probably the best idea. “She’s my daughter, she should be safe here, and she’s not… she was taken, stolen… from your people, from your kind” Damien spat ,coming back to face her again after pacing around the room for the past five minutes, he had good reason to force the truth out of her but he was still keeping his hands pretty much to himself. “Who took her… you must be able to find out… you better find out”
Doe had been up for at least three days, her eyes puffy and red, surrounded by the purpling flesh underneath. As Damien grabbed at her shoulders, shaking with angst, she let out a quiet and agitated sob. The girl that she’d fallen for, attempted to adopt, and so recently called her own was missing. Worse, the office she worked for had taken her. The Auror knew that Dame had let Ro crawl into his head like the leech she was, whispering horrors of her trade. Only now, he’d had reason to believe them. “Did I let them take her?!” She said incredulously, her voice hoarse with salt. “All this time, and that’s what you think of me?”

Being here was not something he had imagined he would do, in fact he had been trying to fight away the darkness inside of him but ever since his daughter had been taken by the Ministry, or someone associated with them, he found himself desperate to seek comfort in those that were the same as what he used to be like. There was still an unsettling evil inside of Damien, something that could be dragged back out again. “I want to go now, are you busy?” Damien asked her, knowing she was the perfect candidate to twist him back to how he should be, how he was meant to be.
To say it surprised her to see Damien Mulciber on her doorstep, was an extremely huge understatement. Thankfully, Barty wasn’t home, however the next man of the house, their dog, had taken to growling viciously at their guest while standing protectively in front of his mistress. “Giù.” She commanded of the large dog, gently patting his head as he sat back on his hunches beside her, still glaring at Damien with his lips curled back in a snarl. For several long moments, she simply examined the male with nothing but amusement and curiosity shining on her features. She had never liked Mulciber, but Alessandra didn’t like many people, and he was practically offering her a free pass to corrupt him, and who was she to refuse? “Okay.” She responded easily, crossing her arms across her chest and shrugging.

Damien had been returning to his old, dark self. His daughter had been kidnapped by an Auror, tey still had not got her back he was going out of his mind with worry, with anger, and all he wanted to do was kill anyone he could get his hands on. It was not helping that his two best friends had informed him of Doe’s possible intentions considering she was an Auror and he a death eater, so his mind was messed up and his suspicions were growing. He’d never been the most mentally stable person to begin with, but now he was almost completely triggered. “Did you know about this?! Did you let them take her?! Tell me Dorcas, she’s gone!!!”

Damien was not really wanting to be here today, even though he loved his best friend dearly, and her new home was becoming his second home, he had hoped to spend the day with his daughter doing nothing more than just hanging out around his house. However, he had made his way over once he received the owl like he always did, and was now having to try to calm down a very excitable Maggie who always got this way when told she could see her Auntie Rory and Uncle Bertie. “ Be good for Bertie, no messing around” He told his daughter, knowing she could be quite a handful at times, but he watched as Bertie lifted her up and led her off to the beach, promising her some ice cream in the doorway. Damien knew there was something on Ro’s mind, but he was even more sure when he turned to face her once the front door had closed. It hit him like a ton of bricks, and straight away he was rolling his eyes and pushing past her into her living room to grab a glass of something strong because he knew he was going to need it. “Here we go again, why don’t you ever just let me do what I want? None of this is a concern of yours!” Dame growled tiredly, his eyes looked a little darker now, he had been struggling to sleep, his dark mark burning on his arm more so than it used to do. “She left her role, she works behind a desk now, hardly the most dangerous job is it” He smirked, turning to face his friend, tired and angry, and as he downed the glass of whiskey he couldn’t help but feel like she was jealous. “I’m an idiot? Maybe I want what you have, what Doni has, why is it suddenly such a massive deal now that I have found somebody to be with, you were perfectly fine when I’m single, miserable, but as soon as a girl comes into the frame you want to skin me alive, first Andie, then Persephone and now Dorcas. It doesn’t matter whether she’s an Auror or a fucking stripper, you’d never be satisfied”
@mulciber-damien
Aurora had barely arrived home from her lunch with her mother when Bertie told her he’d accidentally sent the owl to Damien with a letter asking him to bring Maggie over that she’d meant to send tomorrow. So before she even had the opportunity to get dressed into something more comfortable the front door had swung open and Rory felt Maggie barrelling towards her feet, barely catching her before they both ended up on the ground. “Hello little miss, how’ve you been? Now I would love to hang out right now but I have to talk to your daddy, so do you wanna go with uncle Bertie and pick some shells off the beach to take home?” She placed Maggie back down on her feet and waited for her husband to escort the three year old outside before she rounded in on him. “I have been biting my tongue for far too long and I’ve let this go so far, but I won’t have it anymore.” Right away she was heated, not shying away from her anger at his plain stupidity. “You asked Dorcas to adopt Maggie, fine. You want to have children with Dorcas, fine. Your own stupid prerogative… But have you considered your death eater status in any of this? How she is a fucking auror Damien?” Her chest was heaving and she quickly acknowledged that the dress she wore was much too tight. “Have you ever thought about why she left Riley? Because if I remember correctly it was because he became a death eater… so why is she suddenly okay with death eaters when its you? Maybe because it’s your job? Merlin I am so damn furious with you, how could you put yourself and your daughter in danger like this? You’re a right idiot!”

@bellaserpente
Things were changing in his life, his mind was growing darker again and he couldn’t stop it. All he could think about was the disappointment he must have been to those he had previously fought for, and he still did but so half-heartedly since other things had taken priority in his life. It was only until his daughter, Maggie, had been kidnapped by an Auror that he had realised that he needed to get a grip and start putting the death eaters first once again. Having made his way to Ale’s, he stood outside, his hood covering his face from anyone else and he racked his knuckles harshly against the front door. Once open, he pushed his way inside because conversing on the door step was not a very smart idea. “I want you to bring me back… I want you to get my thirst back… I want you to remind me how to kill”

“Fight to get in? Oh no, I am being in that room from the beginning, making sure they are taking care of you, that you have everything you need” Damien was of course protective of her, he knew Bertie was doing a good job and he had grown to like the other male, thinking he was good enough for his best friend, but even so he was not going to standing behind a door when she was going through that. “I want to be in the room… if you’ll allow me to be in the room, I promise I will behave myself” Damien smiled as he hugged his friend, wanting to be as close to her as possible during this happy occasion, it seemed that there was only good news around at the moment and he wanted it to stay that way, even though no doubt something would come along and ruin it. “I know you would, and she loves her gifts, I think she’s going to need a whole other room now that she has so many presents” Dame knew he would do the same for her children, and Oliver too, no matter what they were his family as well and he would protect them just like he knew his two best friends would do for Maggie. Hearing her story, he snorted, smirking down at the bottle. “You’re the best, come here” Dame wrapped his arm around her again and brought her in to kiss her lips softly, in a friendly manner he used to do all of the time with the pair. “Mm I might crack this open for one, I’d offer you one but a lady in your condition can’t be sampling drink as fine as this” He teased her, giving her hair a cheeky ruffle before he turned to his daughter who had come running over, wanting to be picked up so he did so. “How about you give your Auntie Ro a big kiss for giving you such lovely presents?” He suggested to her, before handing her over. “There we go, you can get used to babysitting. Is Bert up forsome poker?”
“Okay so maybe that’s true. Why do I get the feeling you’re going to try and sneak in while I’m giving birth like the nosy bastard you are?” Aurora laughed, envisioning her best friend fighting the nurses to get in, and how he’d likely faint almost instantly. “He’s just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.” Oliver had captured her heart the minute his eyes looked up into hers and she was putty in the newborns hands. It didn’t go unnoticed how Damien’s eyes darted back and forth between Dorcas and herself as if he wanted to say something, something that likely didn’t relate to their fight and that she wouldn’t like, she almost wanted to interrogate him but bit back on her tongue, she didn’t want to commit murder today. At Damien’s comment of it being too much Rory just stopped for a little bit, and it was when Maggie turned around with a wide grin and squeaked out a thank you that she was able to form a response. “Nothing is too much when I get a reaction like that. I’d do just about anything for her.” Seeing her friends shock at his present was more than enough of a gift for her also, and proved the money was well worth it. It took her months upon months to track it down and it cost well over one hundred thousand pounds in muggle money and she may or may not have had to flash the ancient German man she bought it off. “Germany, some old muggle on his deathbed. Took me months and a bit of my inheritance but it’s worth it.”

“Brilliant, so long as you stay away from my family and village we won’t have a problem” Dame outstretched his hand to her, he was beginning to admire the woman in front of him now that he was seeing how important this war was. “Maybe we can go for a drink at some point? You can advise me on how to get my hunger back for the killing”
Alessandra’s expression showed just how incredulous she was. “Now why would I do something that would make me seem human?” She deadpanned, though looked on at him expectantly. “I did, actually. Paid a little town a visit as a Christmas gift to myself.”

As soon as Doni told him about the age gap, he smirked happily and went to caress little Oliver’s cheek again, it was amazing really how far they had come, and he couldn’t help but feel as though he owed her for a lot of that, mainly because if it wasn’t for her, and Rory’s constant friendship, and strict tongue at times, he didn’t think he would still be here, living and breathing like normal. “I bet you’re beginning to realise you’ve had a rough turn in life though, you should have gone out with me and married me when you could have” Dame teased her, knowing that there had been times when he had pretended to marry either of his friends whilst they were kids, and yet he had ended up not being with either of them. “I haven’t told you much about my relationship with Dorcas have I? I’ve asked her to consider adopting Maggie… I’m not sure whether she will want to, but we’ve been discussing expanding our family, so … who knows” Dame smiled, he actually looked a little nervous, but happy. “Mm well in that case I will find the most disgustingly fattening thing I can” Dame smiled, leaning over to kiss her before he left to get them some food, returning within ten minutes. “Here we go, it’s a huge slab of chocolate fudge cake, complete with a drizzling of cream, I don’t think I was supposed to take this out of the café but ssh, don’t tell anyone” He handed over the plate and fork before he resumed his place beside her, and wiped his finger over some of the fudge coating.
“No, it wasn’t.” Adonia responded in a murmur, gazing at her friend with a fond smile while her eyes glistened. Her life growing up had been very cold and dark, but the only source of light she had came from her twin, and her friendship with Damien and Aurora. Her days with the two of them were some of the best memories she had, of them running through the gardens, laying in bed together, telling each other stories, and keeping each other company during balls. The three had been through it all together, just as they would continue to do so, and nothing would change that. “I’m sure they will, even if from just seeing each other so often.” She said, before a grin tugged at her lips. “Have you realized the same age gap between you and I, is the same between our children, too?” She inquired, giggling quietly to herself as she watched him get up and stretch. “Anything that looks delicious and unhealthy, if you don’t mind. Vaughn has been watching me like a hawk since I’ve woken up.” She said, referring to how her mother in-law had been watching everything Doni had been eating and drinking. “And watch who you call a monster, Mulciber!”

“Mm she is, which I am beginning to wonder whether that’s a good or bad thing” Damien smirked slightly, he loved witnessing the sort of girl his daughter was turning into, of course what with half of his genes, he was aware that she was probably going to be a right little troublemaker as she got older, but hopefully they’d be able to cope with it together. “If we did paperwork do you think I would still be one?” Dame again grinned, he had never been fond of any kind of writing, which had been evident at school when he had bunked off from most of his classes preferring to go off smoking, drinking or trying to get into girl’s skirts but now he was seeing himself as being more of a family man, something he was liking more than he thought he would be. “There was something I wanted to ask you earlier, before everything else happened, and it’s quite a big thing …. And if it’s not something you want to do, or feel like you can do then that’s fine” Damien wanted her to know that because it wasn’t as if he was just asking her something simple, but it was something that he had been thinking about seriously, especially after they had agreed to expanding their family. “I was hoping, that maybe you would consider adopting Maggie… I know she looks up to you as a mother figure anyway, and if we are to have some children together, I would like to think she is viewed the same way as the others” Dame smiled as he looked at her just after he had kissed her neck, his hand rising further up her thigh once she gave him more access. “Then how about you let me make it up to you?” He suggested, wanting to make up for earlier so he switched his position so he was kneeling down in front of her, both of his hands moving her legs further apart, before he gazed up at her with a smirk. “If you want me to of course?”
“She’s too much like you,” Doe grinned, her fondness betraying her. She followed his eyesight to her ever building stack of papers and raised an eyebrow, tilting her head with a teasing expression. “Death Eaters don’t do paperwork?” The brunette leaned her head into the crook of his shoulder. ‘Awkward’ didn’t even begin to describe her day with Rory. It was frustrating knowing how much the blonde meant to him, likely the idea of her and Damien in this same situation had Bertie not come into the picture not far from any of their minds. His apology seemed to silence her. She supposed it wasn’t even quite him that her anger had been directed at, but rather, the last half a year or so. Doe harbored resentment for a thousand and one but primarily, the Auror couldn’t help but feel angst toward her eagerness to move on–from her profession, her marriage, her friendships at the drop of a seer’s potential vision. “I’m sorry, too.” She didn’t want to fight Dame, especially as they began to plan their future. Instinctively, she let out a sharp breath as he pressed his lips to her skin, a movement that felt familiar but ancient. There was a hesitant smile in her eyes, still surprised at his affect on her– their affect on each other. “You’re always on that step, love.” The brunette shifted her leg, allowing his hand to slide further up her thigh. The nickname was one he hadn’t used since they were kids, likely his way to remind himself of their age gap when they were younger. It brought a genuine grin to her lips, and she brought her hand to the nape of his neck, playing with the short hairs. “Don’t try to rile me up,” She murmured, grazing her nails over his skin. “You’re going to make me explode.”
