Hello Julie and the Phantoms friends!

Do you like music? Do you enjoy learning about other people’s taste in music? Do you wish you could share yours more often? If you said yes to any of those questions, then I have an event for you!

Myself and the lovely @rainbow-laced-converse (you should follow him, he is amazing) have been organizing a playlist exchange for the Tumblr fandom. If you haven’t participated in one of these before, the concept is simple: it’s basically like a Secret Santa but with a playlist. Everyone who signs up will make a playlist based on your own music taste, and on the exchange date (listed below), you will send the playlist to someone else, and in return, someone will give you their playlist and an inside look at what they listen to.

Sign ups will open on May 31st and playlists will be exchanged on June 12th. More details will be announced closer to the date, but for now, I just wanted to save the date and get the word out.

✨ Welcome to the first ever Peterpatter Fest ✨ 

From May 31st to June 6th 2021, we’re holding our first Peterpatter week! It’s brought to you by some of your favorite (I’m sure) Peterpatter writers (@sunsetcurveofficial, @daintyduck99, @tiriansjewel, @psyduckappears, and @nuandia) - so if you have any questions, wishes, etc. just hit us up here on the blog or shoot us a dm. Now, let’s get right into it. 

First off, can we just appreciate how absolutely beautiful and adorable the art is that @illgetmerope​ blessed us with? Lots of love your way. Now. 

Who can participate? 

Everyone! The goal is to share as many creative works together as we can during this fest. No matter what you’re good at or passionate about, it’s all welcome. Art, gifs, graphics, fics, playlists, moodboards, videos, podfics - we’re looking forward to all of it, and hope a lot of you join us to celebrate our two favorite dumbasses. 

How does it work?

We got three prompts for each day that you can either choose from to create whatever you wish to create, or you can combine them, too. Really, you can go totally wild with them! If you write fic, you could also write a multi-chapter using each day’s prompt in your new chapters. Or you write drabbles. Or one shots. Anything is allowed and welcome. Just make sure to tag us, so we can share your work. #peterpatterfest 

If you post your fics to AO3, there will also be a collection available that you can add to. We will share more info on that as we get closer to the fest.

Ah yes, the most important question. We picked three for each day, to make this fest as accessible to all kinds of art as possible. One of the prompts is more specific, while the others are more open - feel free to interpret them in whatever way you like! We’re just asking you to tag accordingly. Trigger warnings and sufficient tagging should be in place.

Now that we have a show full of guy characters that we all love, it’s just,,,,,,,, so obvious how horrifically low the bar is for men. Like the reason why we love them is coz,,,,, they’re not misogynistic. The boys cry and show other emotions beyond anger, openly love their friends, wear bright colours, and immediately respect Julie and Rose as musicians. And that’s all it took for them to become loveable.

Because a lot of men’s issues in society are based in the fear of being seen as ‘feminine’. We don’t see the toxic traits that are almost everywhere in western masculinity in the boys of JatP and it made them so refreshing? And it just shows how easy it is to write fundamentally likeable guy characters, but the fact that this is the first show I’ve ever seen where all of the characters are like this is genuinely awful
