When I Die | Jimmy Solidarity Animatic

An animatic in which Jimmy conquers the Canary Curse-- follows the events from Third Life all the way up through Secret Life. I've always interpreted the Life Series/Watcher vibes like a stage play for the Watchers, and Jimmy is cursed to sing the same tune over and over again that signals the end. But what happens when he doesn't want to play by their rules? Maybe this time can be different? :]

I AM SO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG but!!! we finally did it!!! Jimmy suffering animatic finished lets gooooooo-- But for real, I'm so happy to finally be able to share this with y'all! Its an idea that I had floating in my head since Dec 2023 when I first got into Life Series with Secret Life :') So I guess in a way its sort of a celebration of connecting with this series as well as the amazingly kind and talented community! Additionally, this project was done as a part of @multidimensionbb 's MCYT WIP Purge event. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to work as a large group, community events my beloved... and of course, I would have never gotten this done without the support from my friends @relgnira , @shepscapades , @tunastime , and @myketheartista . Thank you for keeping me sane and being the best cheer squad a gal could ask for <333 I sincerely hope y'all enjoy!

Why this world? Hardcore, with bloodthirsty, angry monsters that are only going to get worse, and with awin condition? Do you want to die? Is it worth your pride?

He doesn’t say these things, but he thinks Charlie hears them.

Charlie presses a hand to his chest, trying to calm his frantic breaths. Then he looks up at Schlatt with those big, apple-green eyes that always seem to follow him, no matter the body or world he’s in. “How do you know my name?”

The road seems to narrow. The trees press closer.

“Consider it the world’s worst, never-ending roadtrip. A waystation filled with nothing but waystations. And as soon as you stop to rest, that’s when it gets you, so you can’t stop. You can't rest. You can’t ever stop running.”

And Quackity hears the voice of a dead man. Are you just going to run again?

(On a roadtrip to see his brother for the first time in four years, Quackity gets lost in the space between spaces. Luckily he’s got his boyfriend riding shotgun, and also this cute gas station attendant, who knows much less and much more than he should.)

“Are you okay, Phil?” Asked his guard and best friend of 4 years, Technoblade.

“What do you mean?” Phil replied, cocking his head slightly to the side.

“Well, I mean, with all the proceedings and ceremonies and stuff, you must be pretty nervous, huh?” Techno says, fiddling with his thumbs.

“Why would I be nervous, Tech? This is…. This is my life’s worth. It’s- it’s everything I’ve ever wanted.” Phil said, and then again, head tilted downwards, as if trying to convince himself, “It’s everything I’ve ever wanted.”
