Netflix got me thinking maybe just MAYBE buggy could pass as a soft dom. Making you think he's going to be all rough and mean. He gives you the prettiest insults, calling you all sorts of names and preaching his rhetoric. When in actuality he doesn't have the courage to do any of it at all. More so preferring to spoil and praise you when you do something right and only deliver false threats and promises of punishments that will never come. After all how could he ever hurt his most precious treasure.

Jealous!Buggy X Reader Headcanons

-You can not go anywhere without security detail and even they are only Buggy's most trusted crew members. This is for safety since kidnapping somebody Buggy cares about is an actual danger. But also because you're so attractive he knows all sorts would be dying to talk to you and the thought makes him want to explode.

-The crew who accompany you are grilled afterwards to be sure nobody talked to you and if they did who where why what- And none of them better even TRY to talk to you more than necessary. You have friends with the crew of course you are all family at this point but he is always watching.

-Whenever possible you are on his lap when he's on his thrown. He enjoys you there and loves showing you off to the entire world. You are his and he couldn't be prouder of that fact. Definitely showing that you belong to him and nobody else better dream of thinking different. It's a power move.

-Any pirate stupid enough to talk to you always gets cut off (heh) by a blade sent at their feet. And that's only if he's feeling nice enough to give a warning.

-You will get asked to get a Buggy tattoo or to at least wear makeup so people know who you're with

-Has killed several people who have flirted with you. He stopped telling you about it when it upset you so the number is probably best not known

-Afterwards he will corner you alone practically puffed up like a threatened cat. He means for it to sound tough and sexy when he asks "Who do you belong to?" But there's a layer of desperation and need under it you can easily see. Holding his face and curling up into him insisting that nobody else could ever even cross your mind will melt him into a huge puffy chested mess. A mix between macho "of course!" And completely being wrapped around your finger

-Expect to wear hickeys like an accessory most days. It practically becomes a part of you and is for all to see so there's no mistaking who you're with. You also 'share' lipstick because he kisses you hard enough just to see you wearing it.
