Host an Tschick? - Got a cigarette? Or in High German: Hast du eine Zigarette? In Vienna, this is a slang expression used as a conversation starter by punks and underground exhibition visitors. We intend to employ this style of interaction in an art presentation context. In the Hungarian Studio Gallery, TransArts students from the University of Applied Arts Vienna are trying to introduce this informal way of discourse production to an exhibition frame.

KOLORIT - Klangfestival                 (21.- 23.05.2015)

Die Rezeption des Klanges ist eine Unmittelbare. Im Gegensatz zur visuellen Wahrnehmung kann man sich keines Blickes entziehen; der Klang transfomiert, wandelt und rezepiert innert Bruchteilen. Durch repetitive Strukturen dringt er tief in die menschliche Psyche ein; er generiert eine Loslösung und zugleich Verbundenheit - Meditativ, verstörend wie auch fördernd. Das Kolorit Klangfestival befasst sich mit verschiedenen Manifestationen des Klanges, die in Form von Objekten, Dj-Sets, Live Konzerten und Soundperformances auftreten, resonieren und auflösen.

ŽENA KOJE NEMA / JELENA, DIE FRAU DIE ES NICHT GIBT

Jelena, žena koje nema, ist eine Erzählung des Schriftstellers und Nobelpreisträgers Ivo Andrić, der zu Lebzeiten auch als Diplomat politisch tätig war und in seiner Ideologie die Vorstellung Titos vertrat, die eines friedlich zusammenlebenden, vereinten Jugoslawiens, bestehend aus einer Vielzahl an verschiedenen Kulturen und dem damit verbundenen Reichtum und Wissen.

Dieses Hörspiel ist eine Neuinterpretation, welche in Form einer Mediainstallations-Performance live als Radiosendung an der Zürcher Hochschule der Künste gespielt wurde.

All You Have is a Voice ist ein Kollaborationsprojekt, das von KunststudentInnen der Universität für Angewandte Kunst Wien und der Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien in Zusammenarbeit mit der Künstlerin Ricarda Denzer (TransArts) umgesetzt wurde. Die TeilnehmerInnen Anna Sophie Santner, Laurel Severin, Hui Ye, Sarina Scheidegger, Stéphane Clor, Lucia Hofer, Miriam Hamann, Noël Gaar, Julia Tazreiter, Melanie Kistler, Margit Busch, Marit Wolters und Mato Lagator erkunden die Bedeutung der Stimme als künstlerisches Medium, als Übersetzungsmethode und als Werkzeug für mögliche Interpretationen. Auf diese Weise re-interpretieren die Studierenden ihre Arbeiten und laden das Publikum zur Präsentation der künstlerischen Umsetzung ihrer Zusammenarbeit ein.

All You Have is a Voice is a collaborative project carried out by the students of the University of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, in collaboration with the artist Ricarda Denzer (TransArts). The participants Anna Sophie Santner, Laurel Severin, Hui Ye, Sarina Scheidegger, Stéphane Clor, Lucia Hofer, Miriam Hamann, Noël Gaar, Julia Tazreiter, Melanie Kistler, Margit Busch, Marit Wolters, and Mato Lagator explore the role of the voice as an artistic medium, as a method of translation and as a tool for interpretation. In this way the students re-interpret their works and invite the public to this one evening presentation of their research.
