So I went to see the Sonic Symphony yesterday and it's stirring up my Sonic muses a little

Idk if it's enough to bring me back, but it certainly made me poke my head in

Sorry I haven't been on lately. Motivation has been very low, even with the two dlc parts coming out. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but hopefully sometime soon.

Stow-on-Side is in full party mode and of course! Not only is it Halloween but it's the gym anniversary of their very own Ghost Expert.

The town is decorated to look like ruins as fog rolls along the ground. Stalls are up and running with spirits and townsfolk alike running them.

And of course the gym is alive and energetic. Spirits flicker in and out of sight as shadows writhe along the floors and walls. The arena and challenge are gone for the day, replaced by more ruins and a maze that leads to an enormous dance floor.

Purple sparks of magic fly across the area and a soft laugh soars through the air like the chime of bells... or maybe even the death knell.

Despite the chaotic sounds surrounding the area, footsteps are heard clearly as a person seemingly fades into view from the fog. Their costume seems to be based off of Giratina with a black and gray gown that's lined with gold and tassels of red. They're wearing a mask shaped in the face of the god of antimatter themselves and hum happily as they tilt their head, raising a sleeve covered hand.

"Welcome to the party, please feel free to enter the maze or take the shortcut to the dance floor. The stalls outside our temple carry many sweet treats and soft items to keep you company. I truly hope you'll enjoy your visit."

With that said, the fog thickens for a moment before fading away, leaving no trace of the speaker.

A chuckle is carried on the breeze

"What a time..." Allister certainly enjoyed his time at the event. He'll have to make plans for next year... maybe. It wasn't fair to take over the gym for a solid month only to disappear during a week of said month... maybe he can talk to Bea about turning the solid month into three weeks and both of them take a solid week of that month?

In any case, he's got to get home to Galar and prepare for his anniversary and Halloween Party. Maybe he could...

Allister sighed quietly in disappointment but shrugged it off. He tried at least and the prize he got was nothing to sneeze at. Another plushie for the collection.

Aw yes another plushie! Mew is peeking out of his bag so he holds the Substitute Doll in his arms as he thanks them both and heads off. He can't wait to add these to his collection at home.

💪(for Allister) He may be small, but he has been training with Bea since they met, so let's see if that did any good.

"Testing your strength are we?"

The man running the booth has his Machamp hand you a hammer.

"Hit that lever at your feet, see if you can ring the bell!"

You lift the hammer overhead and bring it down with all your might!

The pinnacle flies up! Oddly high up! It zips past halfway, up six, seven, eight...

Then falls back down. The Machamp whistles through his beak and claps. Consider him impressed. The man offers you your prize.

Your prize is a small Substitute Doll!

Allister beams and picks the Dusk stone. One can never have too many, especially when they're a Ghost type trainer. He tucks it safely away in his bag and thanks the booth runner before heading off to check the other booths of the festival.

There's a large pool filled with apples , each of them with a numbered tag. The man running the booth has an Applin resting on his shoulder. The rules are simple- bob an apple, get a prize and keep the apple.

The wax on the surface of the apples makes them very slippery. It's difficult to get a good grip on them, but somehow, you manage!

The label you turn over is '3'.

Your prize is a choice of Dusk, Dawn, or Ice stone!

The Pokemon that comes from the Dusk Ball looks to be sleeping before translucent branches form from the circular body, a pair of eyes blinking open to look at both trainers.....before the branches retract and it hides again.

Ah, a shy one then! Matsuba is quick to reassure that they'd come out of their shell eventually.

YOU GAIN: A GALARIAN CORSOLA! It looks to have a Timid nature.

There are so many goodies on the wheel, most of them food-related, but a lot that have trainer necessities like potions, pokeballs, and badge cases. The grand prize seems to be an 'Elite Trainer Kit' that has everything you'd expect a starting trainer to want!

You spin the wheel and-

"Trick or Treat!"

You get a big bag of Bubble-Lum Gum Chew!

Looker chuckles.

"My, that was quick. Here's your prize for solving my riddle."

He hands Allister a mew plush.

"Ah...!" It's so cute! Guess he got a plushie after all!. He had wanted the Dratini, but he was one ticket short...

No complaints here, Allister takes hold of the Mew plush and hugs it with a grin, "Thank you. This has been a lot of fun."

Allister walks up to Looker's booth with the tickets he found. Hands caked in glitter. Looker happily takes them.

"Looks like you found 7!"

He gestures to the booth.

"You can pick one prize for 7 or multiple adding up to it. Once you've decided, you should head to the port. Don't worry about boarding a ship, only a pokemon who knows surf. Find the rumored secret and come tell me what you found."

Dratini Plushie with a pamphlet - 8 tickets

Pamphlet Text: This pamphlet is a three fold with a photograph of a dratini across the front, sponsored by ‘The Friends of Fuchsia’. Inside is information on the dratini of the Safari Zone, including their preferred environments, habits, and history. There is a section on proper care and the warning that these creatures are not pets and certainly not to be gifted as prizes at Game Corners. The last section in the pamphlet describes the dangers of poaching these creatures face.

"Darn... and here I thought I studied well." A soft laugh escaped him regardless. "Still, 7 out of 10 isn't bad at all." Looking over the prizes, Allister hummed in consideration. "I'll take three keychains and a poffin, please."

He perked at the final riddle, oh... now that is an interesting one... Rumored secret... he feels like he knows this answer...

"In Galar it can vary, but Stow-on-Side, my town, is the central of horror in the region."

"That's fair... personally I've never seen how other regions celebrate Halloween compared to Galar... so when I heard of the event, I thought I'd give it a shot."
