MY STORY
This was taken after many test due to my severe stomach pain, I was made to feel like I was over reacting “It’s only a period” “Stop being so lazy” “It’s not that bad Man up” these were various things said whilst I was going through this.
They told me it might be Kidney Stones, Ovarian Cysts, STIs and all sorts All tests coming back Normal and being sent home with Painkillers. I was there so much that In the end I gave up. This caused my mental health to fall very quickly. I felt like a burden and kept thinking if I was over reacting.
After two years of countless tests, of nights where I’d beg them just to remove my womb I begged them to do something. I was finally diagnosed With Endometriosis this is when I finally felt listened to! They realised I wasn’t over reacting and apologised for not sorting it sooner.
Now we have a plan that will suit my needs on my road to recovery. I know that it’ll always be an issue that I will grow and get used to but this plan with help me live with it! I’ve met amazing women that have been through the same thing sharing our stories and supporting eachother.
Moral of the story Keep getting at it! You know your body better then anyone else and there will always be a group to support you!
*Im always free for a talk if anyone is struggling with any issues*
