I hadn't quite worked out what was happening. All week when Mummy went out she came back with new things for me. Monday it was disposable nappies, Tuesday was plastic pants, Wednesday she brought me two lovely new bibs, one plastic with a food catching part and one really pretty cloth one with my name down on it, Baby Pants it read.
Today was Thursday and I just couldn't wait to see what Mummy was going to bring home today! Sure enough Mummy didn't disappoint, she came home with 2 new baby bottles, 2 new feeding spoons a bowl and plate. What was she up to?
The next morning, Mummy got me up early, 'up we get' she said, today we are going shopping together .......
I was dressed in a clean nappy and plastic pants, pale blue t-shirt and navy short dungarees, one of my favourite outfits. Adult looking but babyish to me and Mummy. After I had been fed my porridge and given a bottle of milk to drink, we got into the car. 'It's a bit of a drive today baby' Mummy said, 'so I have a loaded a film on Mummy's iPad for you'. Strapped to the seat in front of me. Mummy had set up her iPad with the rug rats movie. One of my favourites, Mummy and I used to watch the series together in bed on a Sunday morning. I love watching the characters run around the screen with their nappies on!
Mummy had driven me to Bolton, to the shop we had talked about many times, but never been to. Adult baby shop, as we pulled up outside I couldn't contain my excitement. 'This should be fun' Mummy said, 'come on let's go in'.
The shop was amazing, I didn't know where to look first, so many lovely baby things but all in my size! Stacks and stacks of nappies, plastic pants and pull-ups in various colours, racks and racks of outfits, from dungarees to sissy dresses and lots lots more!!
'Welcome' the owner said 'come in, come in', I suddenly felt very embarrassed and self conscious and hid behind mummy. 'Don't be shy baby' mummy said, 'we've come all this way to get you some new outfits'.

My True Story - Part 1 England 1970s
I remember this as if it happened yesterday I was a happy 5 year old boy playing in the street with two friends and my 10 year old Sister and her best friend, in those days playing outside the front on a quite Road was normal, my best friends both girls same age one lived next door and one lived directly opposite so every opportunity we would be in out of each other houses and gardens. All the moms best friends and all house wife’s
What happened next changed my life for ever, my mom called me from the front bedroom window with angry face to come in, I went in and was called upstairs mom was in her bedroom and had been looking out the window watching us play and as I was playing I had accidentally wet myself for some reason I just carried on playing, Mom was not amused and really angry and couldn’t understand why I had wet myself she started to undress me while shouting all the while she laid me down on the bed and put a white towel under me I had no idea what she was doing until the towel was brought up between my legs and a nappy pin was fastened either side I became absolutely distraught the towel was a nappy I was pleading with her not to do it it, next came the shake of the plastic pants in front of me and threaded over my legs I was crying so much as she made me stand up as the tight pants were pulled up over the nappy as she uttered the words “if you want to act like a baby I will treat you like a baby” I couldn’t believe it, she then sat me on the bed while putting me in a t-shirt she was still shouting at me while I sat crying.
She disappeared for a few minutes I could here going through things in my bedroom I sat and looked down at my nappied self couldn’t believe my situation She came back holding a pair of my red shorts and I had to step into them and they pulled over my nappy, I was sent out of the room and told to go down stairs I tried to walk normally the bulk between my legs and the slight noise coming from the rustle of the plastic pants was awful, I reached to bottom on the stairs facing the mirror from the front you couldn’t tell I thought just as mom came down she said don’t you you look cute as I shouted back “you can’t tell anyway” oh yes you can! and with that opened the front door and pushed me through to outside where my sister and three friends were still playing I honestly thought no one would notice I walked slowly towards them trying to act normal and the first thing my sister said is why are you wearing a nappy all four girls just staired at me the only boy my face as red as my shorts in and very obvious bulging nappy as I felt the back realises these tight shorts didn’t even cover the nappy at the back of my legs, but with that they all carried on playing as if nothing had happened.
