I needed to do a photoshoot 🥰

I very rarely take pictures of my MC, but I really wanted to see if I could capture any cool effects with Raf's tail 👀 I tried to make this as a template but unfortunately the tail doesn't go this high after loading it in and I didn't manage to do this again when I swapped outfits around 😭

I realised that in some poses (Devoted Gaze atleast) Raf loses his headpiece from the new hair so this triggered an hour long photoshoot with him 🥰

One final image, I have so many thoughts about this one but none of them are in the Tome of the Sea God 👀😂 or maybe they are, cough cough

Kind of a crack theory rn but since we got a sequel to forgotten sea we might get a sequel to abysswalker and if that’s true we might get two current timeline myths as well maybe it’s one for each Stellactrum colour

For the stellactrum colors, I'm curious to see if we will eventually get all the colors for the guys! Of course I don't know if I will still play this game, but maybe I will keep coming back for his myths 🥰 But it makes sense that it might be that they won't repeat colors for the guys anytime soon since it diminishes the previous myth value.

This event has been really a godsent, literally! I love him so much 😍🥰 Hyping my luck under the cut!

I literally got R1 with 150 pulls including the crate.. I got to SHC and did 36/36 with him only, and then my friend was hyping her and her friend's luck so I decided to go for R2 with 19k diamonds.... And I got R2 in total of 250 pulls, so 2 of the cards in 100 pulls 😭😭🥰 I love his pink fishtail!!

And on Rafayel alt, I have decided to put everything I will gain to it, but for now, I'm at R1 with next guarantee at 180 pulls 😭 And I have got like, 3 times 2 x 5* memories in a single 10 pull? I barely have even had those coming in the entire time I have played, I literally got the achievement today on main and it's just insane 🫠 This is literally the most insane pull I have ever got!

This is interesting, and could be! But how the seas would return in Philos without Rafayel taking the heart from MC so they would be in the sea again? I mentioned this in the comments for the original post that I didn't completely sink in the timeline how quick MC realised that the wick doesn't exist, I'll need to watch the myth again once I have had some good nights sleep 👀

This myth definitely feels like it solidifies the position for GoT that it's the beginning for MC's and Rafayel's story, and ToR seems one of the possible endings. It feels quite tightly knitted for me that according to ToR there only would be Got -> ToR timeline without much anything else happening in between them since MC seals him for so long, and he stays shackled.

Or, maybe MC thought that the bond is destroyed when Rafayel takes her heart, but in reality, it still will always stay there because of what she is and she's always resurrecting again? And maybe that's why Rafayel is the last Sea God, because either he keeps himself barely alive, or is forced at some point to take her heart over and over again which means he can't die.

I love brainstorming theories so thanks again for both of you and others who have commented so far! This is so fascinating 🥰

Where do you place it in Rafayel's lore? I'm slightly torn between options. Also a small snippets of a theory I never posted and I'm sad about it 😅

I'm thinking it's majorly alternative timeline instead of linear story relative to the main story.

Based on what I gathered from the myth (and I need to rewatch it several times), Rafayel was shackled the entire time from the Forgotten Sea to Romirro, somehow surviving the changes the planet(?) goes for millions of years.

I find it hard to believe it's connected to the main story that is in the current timeline, unless there's more going on than meets the eye. Because how he would be able to be in the current timeline, if Romirro happens after the main story and he's shackled in there? Or why they are trying to awaken the Sea God's powers again in the main story line, since it seemingly was that he managed to get all his powers back in the myth.

But man, I'm so sad that I actually wrote about the bond being a shackle for him in my drafts, but I never posted it. I theorized that Extreme Dose's "bad ending" was hinting what he was supposed to do - take her heart so it's not interfering with his godly duties. I still am torn about if Raf was meant to fall in love or not. At this point, I feel he wasn't supposed to fall in love. This is why I find making these theories so interesting, it's really fun to see how my own perspectives change after some time.

Update on SHC with R0/Awakened Rafayel myth on main

I had to pull some extra hoops and use some bottles but I managed to get them both awakened immediately with my savings 🥰 Also I have gained like 3 levels of affinity during this time 👀

SO CLOSE, but the 2 stars was barely getting there, I will need to learn the optimal rotation and also, R1 the myth bit later! Atleast for me the 4th stage looks like a bit of both powercreep and mostly tactics, since you need to get the dragon with skipping it's lock phase and I'm not entirely sure if you need to prevetn the split phase for the Benedict golem too. Also get my DEF cores up to par 😭

Rafayel Myth Combat & Savings hyping and other stuff I want to yell about!

I figured since there's a lot of stuff I want to say, and I know combat & savings stuff isn't that interesting to people, I'll just make a bigger post about it if people are more curious to read more about it.

New myth combat mechanics?

I already have seen people talking about the most interesting things, but I'm really excited to see the new mechanics for the myth. Rafayel seems to have some kind of buff that he applies from support & enchanted support skill, and he has a bar that fills up in 2 ways. This is assumably something relating to MCs and Rafayel's skills and once both sides are filled up, there will be another skill you can use, and those bars will lower again to 0. Most likely this will be the mode where Rafayel will be up in the air flinging lighting around with the background being all gloomy👀

Also, the new SHC B team gives some indication of the mechanics as well. It's most likely another Raf myth that relies on charged attacks like Abysswalker, but I really like the spammy style myths so I'm really excited for this one!

Also, the myth stellactrum will likely be yellow, and the 4* pair we can see already being a green one, so it's really a nice bonus for Rafayel, definitely I will be upping it to 60 and possibly even to 80 🥰

SHC before the myth

I really wanted to see how the season would go without the myth yet - I was positively surprised with both my accounts (main & Raf only) how well they both did even though I used all Raf teams with Abysswalker brute force in A team. The main difference with the accounts is that 20% damage boost difference and I did feel it quite badly in B team. Alt barely passed the level with less than 10 seconds in the clock, and main was around 31 seconds. I'm really curious seeing how the myth will help here! Also I will get the 40% damage boost on alt too, I want to see if I can get the 1 extra star from the Team B before I reset that team to the myth.

My savings for the myth!

For my main, I started to save up my resources just before the bounty hunt double-drop event, so almost a month. I barely have used any gold or the other materials for leveling up and I have tried to get as much variety to my protocores as possible. I'm all set for main to get my pair to 60lvl (which isn't needed anymore for the story, but I wanted to make sure I will be able to see it asap) and I'm around 65% there for getting both cards to 80lvl and ascended. So much materials just for 2 cards... 😭

Alt is way more behind as I was trying to focus on getting the diamonds ready for the myth, so I had to keep leveling everything so I could get more stars on SHC and my orbits forward. Alt is sitting now on 23k diamonds which is amazing for F2P account, when I had to farm for GoT when it reran 🥰

My main is almost to 27k diamonds and 29 deepspace wishes! I'm torn if I want to try to R1 the myth on main, I possibly could do it with some good luck but then I will be completely out for the next multibanner which might be coming up, or any other rerun events I might want to get 😭

More Fire orbits! Wooohooo! 🥰

I'm still stuck on 150 on Raf alt, but I'm so excited that I get to play more orbits on main! Aaahhh I'm getting so excited for this torture again, please send help 😂

Rafayel could be the Pandora's Box - Theory and Analysis

Thank you so much @irandial for the ask leading to this theory! 🥰 I have had this theory brewing in my head before the third myth's preview was set out, and now it might be even more relevant...

Pandora's Box myth origins

It's not a big surprise LADS writing is taking quite a lot inspiration from the Greek myths, so I had to go dig some origins for the myth. Pandora was the first woman, created by the gods and blessed with several traits: she was beautiful, clever, alluring and extremely curious. She was given a jar (mistranslated as a box) and was warned never to open it. Pandora's curiousity for the better of her so she opened the jar, and she unleashed all manners of evil and misery to the world.

Typically, opening the Pandora's box metaphor means unexpected trouble coming from humanity's curiousity. MC very well could be Pandora in this case.

Rafayel mentioning the Pandora's box

As Irandial mentioned, there's couple mentions to Pandora's box directly from Rafayel, from Tipsy Invitation:

And the Summer event in 2024 during Misty Invasion, where he kind of indirectly implied he is the Pandora's box. MC and Rafayel are playing a game that requires them both find a certain treasure and eventually from the description, MC realises the treasure is Rafayel.

(Ow this hits so different after the third myth preview 😭)

Rafayel doesn't really sugarcoat the warnings that being with him might not end well. The game really loves their forbidden love tropes, but Rafayel's love might end up being destructive. He gives out several warnings about this during the game:

Taking it even a step further

After Banquet Ablaze I have wondered if the revenge to those people who have hurt Lemurians is something Rafayel would actually want to do. What if it's actually a bad omen for him?

In Siren's Song Anecdote, he's in the bathtub thinking about how the revenge seems to be dragging him down in the ocean's depths, and he would like to stand up. This sounds to me like it's really tearing him up if he should be doing it, and if it's something he would want to do.

As far as I'm aware, it's quite common theory/headcanon that Rafayel and the Sea God are two different entities. I'm humoring it for the sake of this theory - what if MC would be the only one who would set the Sea God free, like Pandora? And, if revenge is one way Rafayel would be losing his "humanity" - his sense of kindness and compassion?

Rafayel mentions needing an anchor in his life, similarly how Talia has been mentioning it in Bouquets and Dirges, and during Rafayel's birthday this year. In Banquet Ablaze, he mentions it again after getting revenge on Alden, who assumably killed and turned Rafayel's teacher's scales into a painting.

It makes me wonder if MC is truly the only one who could either stop the Sea God gaining powers or the one who would set him free... Which brings me to the preview for the next myth:

So, we might have actually now seen MC opening the Pandora's Box - the Sea God who is about to release vengeance on humanity. We already know that humans have mistreated MC in both God of the Tides myth and the very opening line mentions it as well. It could be that Rafayel will end up creating havoc to humanity (as he has done already) with his full power.

We also see this in Abysswalker myth, more on Rafayel's perspective as someone who has seen the outcome for that.

I'm sorry if this seems a little rushed, I wanted to get this one out before we see the myth to see how much I have made myself a fool and I actually was away from my computer for over a week 😂 I'm so excited for the new myth and I'm not ready getting my heart shattered in pieces...

Tentatively sharing a transcript WIP I've been working on. My focus is Rafayel and MC lore. (The hostname "excessive-seahorse" is randomly generated, I nearly fell from my seat laughing when I saw what Notion picked 😂)

I get days with my chronic illness when the only thing I can do is look at a screen and maybe type. I know others are transcribing memoria etc too, but this is super useful for noticing details my ADHD brain misses when I'm just watching. I chose Notion because it's user friendly, allows collaboration and doesn't have ads (for now... the law of enshittification might apply).

This will probably never be complete because I'm just a single person with a full-time job, shitty hands and a long-form fic in the works. Formatting (which differs from the game) has been chosen according to what is the fastest for me to touch type.

Sharing without strings just in case someone else finds this useful. I don't own any of this, except for the work I put into the transcript, so you can do what you want with it. I won't mind if someone thanks or credits me but ehh, whatever ❤️

Spoilers for Rafayel's new myth preview! I couldn't sleep the past 4 hours (it's past 6 AM here) because I was too excited for it...

He looks so damn good?! Ah as if I couldn't love him more 🥹 the tail looks great, the hair is near perfect (thank you for changing his bangs!) and the MC outfit is also must have! I am once again very tempted to get R2 just for the recolor but I don't think it's happening 😭

Ahhh I'm so happy I can atleast get the pair on both accounts, now I just need to get to home before Tuesday so I can watch it from proper screen and not on my phone 😂

I was not expecting to see MC commanding him to take the heart like I mentioned in the post a week ago! I think I won't be able to handle this 😭 And it seems you only need one of the cards to unlock the full story? That's amazing news if that's true 🥳 I have saved up materials for leveling the pair to 80 for a month so I'm good either way.

Also the EN VA keeps just delivering, ugh I love his Sea God voice and it's back 🥹 I wonder if we get to hear him sing based on the pose that we get? I hope so!

If I could get my luck with Caleb to Raf... 😭 I had 70 pity from the Springs and Flowers banner and wanted to use the 20 freebies to help with the myth pity and of course Caleb decided to show up 🫣 And he did this with his myth banner too! Meanwhile my Caleb account lost her 50/50 to Before Sunrise and took to soft pity twice... Oh well, it's nice that he came at the first pull so I could get pity closer anyway 🥰

I guess this just means Raf will be extremely difficult with me during the myth 😅
