My name is Alex, but I go by Arti to pretty much everybody I know. I am a U.S. Army Veteran; that served in Afghanistan (2011-2012) and in Kuwait (2014-2015); who departed the service after 6 years in July of 2016. I am currently an English-major, independent, living within shared tenancy with my cat that provides me emotional comfort, and devoid of outside assistance from relatives due to strained familial relations.

((The lack of reading comprehension is astounding. I am starting to get angry at people ignoring my polite requests and not reading the rules page before flooding my screen by liking everything I have ever posted. It gives me anxiety, it stresses me out. I don’t have to justify myself, but I feel like I’m being ignored. If one more person does this. I am going to block you. ((First, holy shit 1400+ notes in less than 48 hours?!? Both me AND Pengo are fucking floored by this response, and we both greatly appreciate your interest and love of the work and character!

I hate to be a bummer, but this blog is inactive at present, save for when I have art to share, as my writing muse for Harken has been dormant for over a year. There are plenty of Old threads for you to read though! I intend to come back at some point, as I need to make some corrections on Harken’s whole “Murdery” behavior as I did him an injustice by portraying him that way for so long.

If you enjoy the writing and my characters however, you can find me active on my main blog, @boater-hat and I do streaming and a DND Podcast! Thank you all so SO much for your interest. I assure you I have been looking at tags for almost every reblog of the comic [admittedly I get bummed when there aren’t any!] and I am so tickled by how much people love my tragic robot-boy.

If you enjoy Pengo’s art, check him out over at @pengosolvent, he is currently open for commissions and does fantastic work [tho no comics at present] and I think he’d be so pleased if he got a huge influx of interested commissioners thanks to this comic.

Dungeons and Dragons

((So, I know I have been completely inactive here for some time. Going on what, half a year? But I wanted to pop in to share something exciting that I have been REALLY enjoying.))

((I’ve been DMing my first ever DnD campaign. It’s very heavily home-brewed, and the plot is 100% of my own making. I’ve been having an intense amount of fun with it and it’s been a new and exciting challenge for me as a story-teller.))

((My friends @faceless-musings @mysticdoodles and @lulzyrobot are my players, and so far things have gone rather well!))

((If you guys actually enjoyed my storytelling here back when I was actually active, I think you’ll enjoy this stuff too. We’re recording our sessions and I edit them together and add music and such, sort of like TAZ, and put em on Soundcloud! I hope you will all take a listen and share what you think!))

((Some familiar faces might be returning! A certain spider and a fancy-dressed inventor are bound to be there at some point~!))

Financial Crisis (Again)

Hi, I’m sorry to be trouble again, but I am in some dire financial straights and am in need of serious assistance. 

There have been a few superfluous, and unfair charges from billing cancellations which I am unable to cover with my current benefits. Furthermore I am attempting to file a waiver for charges from my previous semester that were debited in lieu of my disabilities. I have attempted to negate spurious and excess charges by cancelling several unneeded and costly subscriptions/utilities, but still this has left me with no left-over funds for food or bills.

I unfortunately needed to cancel my current phone plan, but have been unable to find or pay for a substitute. I have several very important phone calls to make to my VA about this waiver, which I cannot currently do; however I figure this can rectified with the minimalistic options of Skype Mobile or a trackphone. 

I also have costs for the upcoming school year (August), in materials, that I need to pay for.

I really hate to ask this, but I would appreciate any form of donation or assistance. I am beyond my grips and very stressed – if I do not get this waiver filed I will face even greater debt which I cannot tackle on my own given my physical and mental disabilities. 

I am extremely limited in what I am able to do and afford at this current time, so again any help would be greatly appreciated.
