"No I--... I wasn't gonna call you that! It's just... WELL IT SLIPPED!" the boy became angry pretty fast and crossed his arms in an annoyance. It wasn't fun when Kisame thought he wasn't mature enough or something. Maybe he was... but he wasn't gonna admit it.

"As long as you don't question me it's alright... But when you do, Kisame, I will be sure to blame you if we're gonna fail the mission. Also my life goes before yours, keep that in mind."

After a second or two he blinked and yawned. It was late but there wasn't any time to sleep, no. They were heading for a mission... Good thing Suigetsu had slept long last night.

Nodding he took the scroll back. "Yeah, something like that. But then again, I'm not old enough to know why they would do it... again. Maybe you'd like to tell me about it?"

Finally he dropped the Mei-thing.

'Heh, you almost slipped up there and called me senpai again huh?’ he sniggered, the kid was trying so hard to be authoritative and commanding, but it wasn’t washing with the older swordsman.

'For the record - I never said I wouldn't follow or obey every single order - only the ones that might affect the success of the mission. My tactical knowledge is greater than yours and I will use my own judgement if I think you're compromising the mission in any way'

He took the tattered looking scroll and carefully unwrapped it - it looked old; ‘So, from what I’m seeing is a description of unknown shinobi wearing masks to obscure their faces, some wearing nondescript clothing, others wearing clothing that would affiliate them with Iwa? I assume that’s nothing more than misinformation to try and get Kiri to go after Iwa again… I guess we’ll have to actively pursue them, kill most but capture a few alive and make them talk?’

He was deliberately avoiding the subject of his past and the history he had with Mei, choosing instead to focus on this shaky mission he was accepting for some odd reason.

Suigetsu's eyes widened a little in a surprisement. WHY was Kisame acting like that? Why was he going to make this so hard for the both of them?

"Kisame-se-- No, c'mon! You have to take every order seriously! If I tell you to... kill, then you kill! If I tell you to protect something with your life then you do it! You can't make your own decisions, I make them for you! What's the hard part? I'm not a kid anymore, I know what's best and what's not!!"

The swordsman still tried to keep his poker face when he heard the elder talk about the Mizukage and their past or something of the like. And Chojuro... If he didn't consider him a good swordsman, how could he probably assign himself to Suigetsu's group without even seeing him using a sword?

"I was wondering... Why don't you want to talk about Mei and you?" the boy asked quietly while took a scroll from his belt and handed it to the blue one. "We don't have any clue about it, but not ours. We need to check that too. There's all information they gave us."

'If I was the last person on the planet left alive besides Mei for some unknown reason - she'd probably keep me alive just so she could kill me slowly' he snorted, Mei really had quite the distaste for him; 'I couldn't care less about Chojuro - he may well wield the Hiramekarei, but I can’t say I hold him in any high regard. He’s just a kid - he’s got a long way to go before he earns my respect as a fellow swordsman’

'My past interaction with Mei is staying firmly in the past, you don't need to know any of the details' he smirked to himself as he spoke those words. His history with the fiery red-head was complicated at best.

'ANBU from which nation? Also, just a fair warning kid - if you issue an order that I feel will compromise the success of the mission - I'm telling you right now, I'll disobey it and do my own thing to ensure success - after all, that's all that matters right?'

"But she still will be happy if you're the last person, right? And you said you're the last person she'd be happy to see... So, she'd be happy... If we like... kill...ed... the others..." the shorter one smirked shyly. He didn't have the best ideas and he noticed it by himself too. "I think Chojuro stays by her side too just like Ao. But Chojuro is one of those in my group, so I am not that anti-close to MIzukage." Now he started to think about his words, what the hell was anti-close anyway...

Then the boy's brows rose. He had history with Mei? He knew her from the past before she came Mizukage? "Are you telling me you knew each other?" The only thing Suigetsu could think of was that they were either teammates or lovers. Giggling to his own thoughts he decided not to say it out loud.

"Anygays! My chakra isn't just low, it's like... Well, it's like fucking sucked up from me by a giant chakra-eatingsword. But how could I know how it feels, because I used my chakra fair and sqare on a mission..."

Now shaking his head he eyed Samehada and then grunted, narrowing his eyes back to Kisame. Still bothered by the fact he was taller than the Hozuki, Suigetsu decided to speak again. "They say there are ANBU stalking Kirigakure. All over this place. We don't know what they want but it'd be better to know before killing. Of course I'd like to kill them but Mizukage wanted them alive. So... we need to be sneaky. I'm not really into missions like that but I'm looking forward working with you, maybe this is a good one for training my nerves. And yours of course, because I give the orders!"

 ’Heh, it’s not simply a matter of not telling them… they already know enough about me to not want me anywhere near the village - after all, I’m still in every bingo book on the planet, listed as a wanted man for all to see and that’s not going to change any time soon’ he had to stifle a laugh at the absurdity of the situation, why on earth was he volunteering to once again be serving Kirigakure after what they did to him.

He couldn’t figure it out quite yet himself - but the notion had stirred up something deep within him; ‘I’ll be avoiding Mei like the plague - she and I have some… complicated history, so to speak. In fact, I’d go so far as to say, I’m probably the last person she’d ever be happy to see. Plus these days, isn’t Ao always by her side? He and I never saw eye-to-eye either, so I’ll be keeping out of his way too for the same reasons’

He noted the flustered response from the young Hozuki; ‘So, you’re saying you’re too low on chakra to go on this mission yourself?’ he questioned, a mischievous glint in his eye as he spoke.

"Quiet, aren't we?"

"Well, if she needs to, she will of course. Or... that's what I think at least, I'm not really sure about it. Or sure about how the village will react to it. But I guess it's gonna be alright as long as they don't know you're still an Akatsuki... AND BY THAT I mean we don't have to tell them, right?"

Suigetsu's ideas were weird at times. He wasn't sure what he should do but that was just the first thing that popped into his mind. And they would use that plan if it was okay with the elder. He, of course, knew that Kisame wanted to be loyal... but a little white... lie... thing... wouldn't hurt. Right? He got a little headache just by thinking too much.

"I know, but I also know that if you get in trouble, I'm going to get in a big trouble too. So... act like your age... and don't mess with her." Nodding, he crossed his arms now. "Do you know her from somewhere else than from the title of Mizukage?"

Work. Oh, Suigetsu knew how he hated that word and he bet Kisame knew it too. This was killing. NOT work. It was having fun. Like a hobby. Yes, a hobby.

"Actually, I got a mission. The thing is, I don't think I can..." now he coughed, getting a little red and turning to look behind him. "...Well... I was on... another mission, you know... and then like... Of course I killed the enemy but... like... you know... I used all my chakra." The Hozuki knew how pathetic it sound but there was nothing to lose if he didn't believe it.

"Oh, if it isn't senpai, huh?" Suigetsu asked and poked the elders gills. "You have Samehada with you, how delightful. Let me have a look, no?" | Hi and thanks for following me! Oh and I took a quick look at your "about" page, I'm surprised there are still people who remember Fuguki. It made me kind of happy. I feel like I'm the only one who knows their names.

Kisame swatted the intruding hand away from him as the youngster jabbed his fingers sharply against the sensitive markings; ‘Senpai?’ he muttered aloud, glancing down his nose at the kid. It took the older male a second or two to register the familiar face; ‘Oh! Little Suigetsu, right? You’ve actually grown a little taller, but I see that you’re as cocky as ever…’ 

{Hi to you too, and thanks for following me back! Who could forget Fuguki, he’s one of the best minor-characters EVAR, haha. I’m glad to have found a fellow Kiri-enthusiast on here}

No matter what happened between us, or how long its been since we last talked, I still care, I wanna know you’re doing and feeling. I don’t stalk you but just enough to know you’re okay because you’re still that person I miss and the person who will always be in my heart.

"Relax, sweetie--", the demon started without opening and eye. He wasn't fully awake but he wasn't sleeping either. That's what he himself could tell. "--no one said I'm going to act stupid nor have I broken something. Because I haven't. Okay maybe something but that's a secret, I hid it outside. It was your toothbrush anyway. I just wanted to find something to brush my teeth with but these little guys broke it. You should get a better brush."

Now he lifted himself up and yawned a little before eyed the girl carefully. "Why aren't you in a good mood anyway?"

It was dark and she was lost inside a cold small alley, the walls closing on her. At the end of the alley was her father but as much as she pushed herself to reach him before the walls could suffocate her, her father seemed more and more further away. The nightmare was one of the many she had every night but luckily for her she woke up by a sound that came from the living room.

She rubbed her eyes while a yawn escaped her lips and with small steps, she walked into the living room where the swordsman was sleeping in. “Tell me you haven’t broken anything because I just had a bad dream and I’m not in a good mood. So, it wouldn’t be so nice for you to make it even worse by being a baka!” She warned as she turned to look at Suigetsu.

I realise I’ve not been around much lately… Nor have I ever really done any of these follow fridays or follow forevers or any giveaways or videos or whatnots. I’m always lacking either the skill or the means or the time or the patience or the mindset or a combination of these… So, this is a collective thank you to everyone whom I’ve come to interact with during my time here; a collective follow forever of everyone; a collective sorry to everyone who’s had to put up with my crappy attempts at roleplaying/socialising. Some of you are not active anymore, some of you even got rid of your muses and some of your URLs I’ve most probably forgotten as well (I apologise if I couldn’t include you here) - but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about your kindness. About the fun times and the hugs and everything that you’ve given to me; about making me feel welcome and needed. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for all the good times and memories.
