I DONT THINK IT WILL BE. Maybe this is wishful thinking bc I’m also not a huge fan of the pairing, BUT. My reasoning is:

Adam will supposedly be getting a love interest at some point (which I’m assuming means S2), and Elijah is supposedly absent from most of season 2. He’s… ran off somewhere. After the incident. Probably not having a fun time. I don’t think he’d be in a state to do much demon kissing. I do not see that guy recovering from it all quickly.

So then, the suitable bachelors which remain are… Soren (mayyyyyybe)… Joshua (absolutely not)… and ✨MATTHEW✨. LISTEN TO ME. LISTEN, I WILL BET ANYTHING THAT IT ENDS UP BEING MATTHEW. GOURMET CHEF OF HORRORS (WHO IS ALSO A HORROR HIMSELF) AND HIS AUTO-CANNIBALISTIC DEMON BOYFRIEND??? THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES!!!???!?!!!

I can’t see Adam or Elijah going for each other, but I mean… If I was a flamboyant and theatrical auto-cannibalistic demon, and I saw a static-faced eldritch horror with a BEAR BOD whose JOB is to cook up meals made of strange and horrific ingredients??? Strange and horrific ingredients like… my own flesh??? I’d swoon.

OH I didn’t even make that connection when coming up with the username, but I actually am!!! What a fun little accident

I should specify I’m not otherhearted specifically, I’m a therian (barn cat, deer, and barn owl) aaaand fictionkin (but worse? It’s hard to explain. Iykyk). I do heavily identify with carrion, but I don’t have a label for it, I’m just a little guy decomposing in the woods, as one does!

Two fruity ass cannibalistic psychotherapists who wear fancy suits, speak very poetically, have a certain… proclivity… for viscera and mutilation, and enjoy tormenting tired mentally ill gay men as a hobby— sometimes by giving them food that is not what it seems. Tormenting may ft homoerotic undertones. They hide their deeeeevious ulterior motives behind their charming and fanciful fronts. I want to put them in a room together and see what happens.

I believe in one of the streams M&B said that nobody in camp could beat Elijah in a regular ol fight, not even Lucille— not even with her flamethrower.

I’ll need to find the transcript but I’m sure I remember that being mentioned in one of the streams… I mean, the dnd strength stat of 15 is pretty impressive on its own, but add on the fervor and… yeah.

Ah yes, my favourite CHNT character who appears only in dreams, delivers cryptic messages (and or taunts you) about whatever crisis you’re currently experiencing, uncannily resembles someone you hold dear (but is ultimately unrecognizable and off), has unknown motives/ nature of origin, and seemingly wants to hurt Sydney (or realize his fate)…
