BIRTHPLACE. daegu, south korea. LANGUAGE(S). korean fluently, english less fluently but still good. a little japanese too that he’s picked up from watching anime religiously. PARENTS. haneul’s parents were never particularly loving, but they didn’t become abusive until he was in middle school. it escalated when they began to believe their son was gay, and it ended when he was 15 and they kicked him out after discovering him kissing a boy. GUARDIANS. after his parents kick him out, haneul is not completely alone. he contacts his aunt, who had been similarily exiled from the family when she came out and confessed that her roommate of 4 years was more than just her roommate. the two immediately bought him plane tickets to join them in the states and took the young boy in, and have worked tirelessly to give him the love and care he’s always deserved. OTHER FAMILY. his aunts have an adopted son named kiha, who haneul affectionately calls his brother-cousin after he moves in. he is a few years older than han and the younger boy simply adores him. PET(S). pale orange kitty. her name is honey and he would die for her. she’s v friendly and will happily meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeow right up to the door to greet u. she was a gift for his first christmas with his aunts. she was a kitten that had been abandoned by her mother.
