Went to the animal shelter today to play with dogs...very sad environment

Do you have any tips for sketching? Specifically clop... I know to practice a lot but what else? :D

One good way to learn it is to grab a brush, a really huge one, a brush so large you cannot do details with even if you wanted to and just paint the forms. So general shapes for where the head, torso, limbs and ass are. once those are down, set the layer to low opacity, make a new layer and start refining it with details on a smaller brush. Once thats done, ya do the same with a new layer, but this time do the full details.

tldr

start messy and general to get the form and something onto the paper (counters blank page syndrome), and then tidy it up with a smaller brush on a new layer
