Musicmoney meets DJ M3 for Mustache Disko Vol. 3
Tumblr media
Dj M3 has staked his everlasting claim in the Bay Area music community in 1990 as a key promoter and DJ, roles for which he took on the abbreviated appellation of M3, short for “Makes Me Move”. Begun as a fluid, down-tempo approach, M3 eventually evolved his sound to the expression of Deep House , Disco and Tech House chuggers he is known for today. Manny quickly developed his own legendary party brand Green Gorilla Lounge underground, and clubs night parties along Anthony Mansfield. He started sharing the decks with industry icons with bookings across the globe, He also started Disco Knights at Burning Man. Thus further developed Manny’s acumen for rhythm and cultural finesse, priming him for several collaborations with Phil ‘Rene’ Collis of Bachelor’s of Science and setting the stage for their alliance as the stealthy duo Sleight of Hands. Having seen releases through his own label Green Gorilla Lounge, as well as Smoke ’N’ Mirrors, Om, Sirenum, and Chillin’ Records. M3 has notably performed at the San Francisco Treasure Island Music Festival 2014, Outsidelands 2013, and Coachella 2013 as Sleight of Hands. And Coachella as Dj M3 2012
With past projects including the Tweakin’/ Black Pancake record shop and Triple Crown Nightclub under his belt, Manny has moved forward embodying his passion for music as of the founder of the record label Green Gorilla Lounge and co-owner of SF nightlife staple Monarch nightclub and Great Northern .When not in the studio, M3 can be pushing his signature sounds DJing in nightclubs, bars, and undergrounds all over the city. There is no doubt M3 is thoroughly invested in his lifelong relationship with music and art and culture. Looking to the future. 2020 will see a kick of release from the green gorilla lounge. BE ON THE LOOKOUT!

Where are you from?
I’m Joseph, singer/songwriter and producer of Out Of Karma, I’m originally from South Asia via Africa and now I live in Leicester.
The band consists of myself, Joseph Macwan, Ameer Hosseinbucus providing the beats, Pascal Pereira on bass and Alexandra Bogle on backing vocals.
How would you describe your sound?
My sound is often described as Voice, Melody and Groove peppered with Indian, African, Caribbean flavours. Rhythm that makes you move and tunes that take you on a journey of revolution, liberation and love.
My latest track “Infotainment” is an irresistible funky groove with lyrics that hit hard.  Along with Pascal, Ameer and Alexandra we were blessed to have the beautiful Hammond Organ of Abramo Riti and solid beats from Marco Rovinelli.

#Musicmoney meets Tim, Just A Jester to hear about his new track, Slow Dance
Where are you from?
I'm from Kingston, London, UK.
Describe your sound:
My sound varies depending on the song I'm writing. Each requires something different depending on its theme and tempo etc. However, all songs have either electric or acoustic guitar in common.
Tell us about your latest track:
My latest track, "Slow Dance" is an acoustic song, it was written 31 years ago. I'd almost forgotten about it until an admirer told me they wanted to hear it again. It was actually one of quite a few that Island and Ensign records wanted to sign me up for years ago. Unluckily for me the management company who represented me at the time turned the deals down because the offers weren't enough to cancel an outstanding debt they had. I didn't find this out until 2 years after the deals were offered. "Slow Dance" is a song about my reflections of early discos where men lining the walls of the venue would eye up their potential partners on the dance floor. The slow dance was the perfect opportunity for the guys to make moves on girls they fancied and be intimate with them in the dance.
Who inspires you?
My inspirations come from anything that captures my imagination; the story of a remarkable life of someone, an emotion, a tv documentary, a broken heart, new found love or just a reflection of the state of the world around me.
Where do you see your career in 5 years?
I'd like to be a full time professional musician playing and recording like I used to years ago. I will make this my aim over the next 5 years.
Where can we check out your sounds?
You can check out my sounds on just about any platform, all songs are distributed by ditto on Spotify, Apple and Soundcloud etc. They have all had radio plays around the world, I've had over 10 top 10 hits in various international chart shows.
Tell us something about yourself that people need to know...
Over the years, in various outfits, I have supported Van Morrison at the Ivor Novello awards, played live my song "Railway Stations" to 9 million viewers on BBC 1 TV, played Glastonbury on different stages 8 times, toured England and Italy with bands including Sonja Kristina of Curved Air, (Stewart Copeland's ex-wife) recording countless albums. Recorded at Peter Gabriel's Real World studio with some of his band members.

"I really just create music for the love of it" Metasine talks about his latest track Here for Days
"I really just create music for the love of it" Metasine talks about his latest track Here for Days
Tumblr media
Where are you from? I am an electronic music producer and saxophonist based in Boston, MA.
Describe your sound: My musical style combines floor-shaking bass with funky breakdowns, mind-bending drops, and catchy sing-alongs. Offering a versatile blend of groovy dubstep, glitch-hop, and nu-disco sounds, my music boasts pristine sonics and charged emotional movement.
Tell us about your latest track: My latest track "(I've been) Here for Days" is inspired by the nu-disco sound popularized by acts like Satin Jackets and PNAU. I wanted to create something with high-fidelity disco vibes and a chill but exciting repetitive energy. The track begins with a crispy beat and dirty bassline. Spacey vocals build to an upbeat chord groove and catchy hook. As the energy of the song peaks, a full brass section takes the listener even higher into a full-on funky town breakdown. Try not to dance... I dare you.
Who inspires you? While this song is directly influenced by artists like Satin Jackets and PNAU, my sound comes from my awesome community of friends and fellow artists. Having taught and trained alongside many talented artists as part of ill gates' Producer Dojo, I am constantly inspired to try new things and experiment with my sound. Recently, I've been super inspired by the creative direction of Pretty Lights, as well as GRiZ, Gramatik, Manic Focus, and Vincent Antone.
Where do you see your career in 5 years? In 5 years, I expect to be releasing music regularly with a major electronic music label and performing my tracks live for audiences nationwide. I really just create music for the love of it, so my career aspirations are simply to enjoy the process, make friends, and spread my sound as far and wide as I can.
Where can we check out your sounds? You'll find my music on all streaming platforms under the name "Metasine".
Tell us something about yourself that people need to know. To me, creating is meditation. When you make something, you live in the absolute present for a brief moment. In this moment the universe comes through you. The separation between mind and body vanishes and pure expression takes over. Sometimes it can be rewarding, and sometimes it can be difficult, but the process of growing through it is ultimately the flame that ignites my flow.

“inspired by the end goal of making music that other people can enjoy or play when they're sad” Starbug 2 speak to #MusicMoney about their new album
Where are you from?
Band Consists of 3 guys From Harlow in Essex, Fraser Paul(singer/bass) Cameron Paul(lead guitar) and Joe Hunt(drums)
Describe your sound:
Our sound is pretty unique from song to song, but overall I'd say it mainly sits around the alternative rock or classic rock genre.
Tell us about your latest track:
Don't really have a latest track as much, we just released our debut album called Three Mandarins, but so far the songs "The More That I Know" and "Queens" have been the most popular. The latter of the two just had a cartoon music video completed for by the same guy who did the video for the opening track off the album "Frankenstein". Real heavy old school rock n roll.
Who inspires you?
Honestly in terms of inspiration, of course we all have artists we look up to, but really I suppose we are collectively inspired by the end goal of making music that other people can enjoy or play when they're sad, just like we have done. Music is a big part of all or lives.
Where do you see your career in 5 years?
I want to say playing as many shows as possible and just being able to share our story and songs with anyone and everyone who wants to hear them.
Where can we check out your sounds?
We are on Spotify, Soundcloud, Instagram and YouTube. the first two being just purely music of course. And we have a Facebook and twitter we've just set up.
Tell us something about yourself that people need to know.
We know what we are, we are unpolished, but we are raw and honest with our music and as men. Hopefully there is an audience that respects that just as we do and wants to enjoy our music.

“capture those moments where you don’t need words, but you feel what the person next to you is feeling. Wishing those moments would last forever.” #MusicMoney speaks to San Diego artist Crystal Nights
Where are you from?
San Diego, CA

Describe your sound:
Nostalgic indie-synth with a tapestry of warm, retro-futuristic sounds that feel like memories from the past

Tell us about your latest track:
The latest track was inspired by late nights driving through Los Angeles in my classic land rover. Watching the city lights pass by next to someone who you love. It’s the feeling of growing older but remembering those moments of simplicity from when you were young. The demo is just an instrumental that is meant to capture those moments where you don’t need words, but you feel what the person next to you is feeling. Wishing those moments would last forever.

Who inspires you?
So many artists. From Beach House, Sleigh Bells, Men I Trust, Pearly Drops.

Where do you see your career in 5 years?
Just having fun and making music with friends. Not trying to take things too seriously and hopefully making music that people enjoy.

Where can we check out your sounds?
Right now we are only on SoundCloud (soundcloud.com/crystalnightsmusic) but will be releasing music on Spotify soon.

Tell us something about yourself that people need to know.
Started making music while quarantined in a hotel room for a week in Thailand. Love collaborating with other artists so feel free to reach out if interested!

"Dance Love is designed to bring bodies straight to the dancefloor" Music Money meets TherĂŠse NeaimĂŠ
Tumblr media
Where are you from?
I´m born in Sweden but with heritage from a Lebanese father and a Swedish mother.
Describe your sound:
A sound that combines my Swedish and Lebanese heritage into a Scandipop hybrid.
An international latin / pop edm with, at times, also an Arabic flavor.
Tell us about your latest track:
“Dance Love is designed to bring bodies straight to the dancefloor through a wildly colorful catchy infusion of radiant sound.”
With a lifetime spent immersed in entertainment which covers opening for Simply Red,
touring in the middle east and headlining the South Africa and Copenhagen pride to mention a few milestones . I think I learned a bit more about what listeners want to hear. I believe our latest track has a vibrant spark inspired sound. Dance Love is a bold reflection of genuine love of the craft, the vocals being the X-factor. I feel honored and happy that the original track of this song has already topped spots of charts; playlists worldwide.- Isn´t it so that we always fall in love with the latest one we just released? :) For me at least that's very often the case. I truly believe Dance Love is that perfect mix between a genuine love of the craft, an interesting combination of that Latin/Pop/Soul sound, designed to bring bodies straight to the dancefloor. Listening to this song makes me happy. Isn't that what music is about? To create a certain emotion. Hopefully with this unique remix of the very same song we have succeeded too.
Who inspires you?
Anyone who believes in themselves enough to go for their dreams. I believe life is about becoming the best version of ourselves. Following a path of excellence can be difficult, but not doing so should scare us even more. ”Ask and you might receive! Dare and you will gain!”
Where do you see your career in 5 years?
My wish is to keep making a living doing what I love the most, which is music. I´ve been lucky to be in the music business for the last 20 years which is a goal by itself. Hopefully in 5 years my songs have spread even further globally, and another world tour will have seen its day light. The goal is also to keep on inspiring people, be it through my music but also through my motivational speaking.
