He said, “My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, so forgive me,” and He forgave him. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Moses (alayhi salam) asked for Allah’s forgiveness and supplicated the above mentioned Qur’an verse when he unintentionally killed an enemy in the midst of saving his friend. And Allah forgave him.
Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala is the Most Merciful and Forgiving. As humans, we are weak and prone to making mistakes. However, no mistake is greater than Allah’s mercy. We learn from our mistakes by recognizing the mistake and seeking Allah’s forgiveness in order to rectify our wrongs. Allah gives faith and hope to all of us so never feel discouraged of the amount of sins you’ve committed; instead use Allah’s mercy as a way to better yourself and to stay away from sins. By seeking Allah’s forgiveness, you are putting your trust and hope in Him. Surely, Allah will not let you down. Make du’a, supplicate in sincerity and repent. Allah will respond to you.

Four things are useless, and they are: 1. Knowledge without practice, 2. wealth without expenditure in the way of Allah, 3. piety for the sake of show, prompted by worldliness, 4. and a long life with no stock of good deeds.

Unhoone kaha hai keh humare beytey ke liye aasoon na bahana, Yeh dariyah aasuon sey kabka labrez ho chuka hai. Unhoone kaha hai, humaare beytey ka intaqaam na leyna, Iss dariyeh mein bohot khoon behchuka hai. Unhone kaha hai kismat ko na koss na, Humaara beyta Allah ko pyara hogaya hai. Phonch lo apne aasoon! Aur dua karo ek aise mustaqbil ki, Jabh zaalim aur jaaveyr nahin hon, Humla-awar nahi hongey. Aur aao, apne humsayon ko saath le kar ao, Aur yeh mehrtaaba seh jaake kehdo woh apni kirno ko ginn keh rakhle. Mein apni sehra ki zarre zarre ko khud chamakna sikhaara hoon.
They ask us not to cry for their son, Too many tears have flowed into th river.
They ask us not to take revenge in their son’s name, Too much blood has flowed into that river.
They ask us not to curse fate, Allah [God] holds ours son in His embrace.
Wipe your tears! And pray for a future, Free of dictators and tyrants, Free of all invaders.
Come, bring your loved ones, Go tell the majestic sun to preserve its precious rays. We’ll teach the core of our own beings to glow with its light.

Islamophobic: their Koran permits them to beat their wives...
Me: Yes it does but could you tell me what with?
Islamophobic: ...
Me: A blade of grass, I don't know the last time you tried to beat someone with a blade of grass but it is pretty damn impossible, you must look at the people the Qur'an was revealed to, the Arabs at that time (just like most of the world) would beat their wives brutally. To tell them they couldn't beat their wives would have caused rebellion, so Allah (swt) being the greatest of planners, revealed it in a way that was so clever. It permitted them to beat their wives (as not to cause rebellion) however only with a blade of grass (which we all know to be impossible). Then the most beautiful line came saying but surely it is better for you to forgive, do you see now that the Qur'an does not permit the brutal beating of wives which in that time would have saved the lives of many women. Also I suggest you look at the rights of a wife over her husband, then tell me my religion is sexist.

We are a people that insist on instant gratification instead of seeking out patience and true reliance on Allah to handle our affairs as He knows it to be best for us. We should focus on doing our best with what we are given, and not expect anything because everything is unpredictable, and everything is for our betterment when we trust in Him.
