"For you. For all of us."
Those were the last words uttered by a young Loki dangling off the edge of the Bifrost shortly after discovering that there is no glorious purpose for him in Asgard. And he let's go, collapsing, wanting to die.
Only to not; to be discovered by another, and unleash his fury and anguish upon the world. To create something in the process unintended.
Only to be stopped yet again and to eventually die a hero.
But in another time, he flees, and he is saved. In every possible way any person could be saved.
Not desiring to be alone, wanting to belong, unwilling to sacrifice one for the other.
And then he does.
This is the same Loki, we must remember, who uttered those words on the rainbow bridge shortly before plunging himself into the abyss. The same Loki who brought New York to its knees, who did not want to be alone, who just wanted to mean something in the world.
The same Loki who said those words after doing such horrible things says them to his friends in sacrifice.
I have to do this. I have to go. For you. For all of us.
"For you. For all of us," were the last words spoken by a horribly distraught God of Mischief in 2011 whilst ready to die in the first Thor film.
"For you. For all of us," are the final words spoken by a selfless God of Stories, burdened with a glorious purpose he accepts, the one thing he never wanted to be---alone.

it is literally the sickest most twisted thing i’ve seen in a while to have loki’s “burdened with glorious purpose” line circle all the fucking way back around to end with him sitting on a throne he didn’t want and forced to leave the people he loves when he was finally able to admit he didn’t want to lose them a few episodes ago. he finally has friends and now he’ll never see them again because he’s been doomed to lose since he was born and now he’s stuck at the end of time with the entirety of everything on his shoulders. a largely thankless sacrifice he willingly made for the good of everything at the expense of himself…

If I had to sum up the 3rd season of The Witcher in one phrase, it would be "wasted potential"
like the overall storyline with Ciri and the Elves and whatnot is intriguing on paper, and I'm still curious how all of this might unfold (stayed away from the books on purpose, until now) , but the execution of it all was just bleh
I don't know if ot was the acting or the editing or the 2 parts of the season or what, but nothing really grabbed me and sucked me in like a good story should. the only thing that got close was Tissaia's suicide, but even that felt a bit weird. One minute she's frantically going over news from the war, and one conversation wit Yen later she unalives herself. Like, there's some important bits missing in between there.
I might check out S4 when it comes around, but only to find out how bad it can get. Kind of like a car accident. Can't look away.

the fact that from the very beginning Flint says that all he wants is to walk away from the sea and find some damn peace. something about it is just devastating, how much he didn't want to become this person but how necessary the role was to his survival and how much of a tragedy Flint's creation was. all he wanted was peace, he never wanted to get involved and make problems. and he was denied it. he was denied the peaceful life with the people he loved and so he became the monster of their stories, because he cannot let his loss go without answer, but that want is still there. it always has been. all he ever wanted was peace

black sails really said i Will change the chemistry of your brain. what if flint DOES really control the weather in the completely LITERAL sense what if he really is the main character of his own story the monster of his own fairytale what if it really is like that. what if it isn't though!! and even better what if both these scenarios are equally likely and equally important and can coexist.

nah they already said it was a spur of the moment idea and it would not be fun to apply again
tbh I don't think even they could get Germany out of the last spot, it has become such a meme and the rest of the world hates us. I would not want my boys to experience that disappointment. They're way too busy touring the world and being awesome anyway.
GERMANY SEND ELECTRIC CALLBOY NEXT YEAR FOR REAL THIS TIME I NEED SOMETHING TO FILL THE KÄÄRIJÄ SHAPED HOLE IN MY HEART
