where do you get them???
ive gotten all of mine from japanese second hand stores and auction sites, and thats where theyre most plentiful. occasionally you can find them on american ebay but theyre usually marked up more than theyre actually worth (but still worth checking occasionally, sometimes people sell japanese exclusive models)

What do you know about the two mutsu video games (and how do you like them if you've tried them)? I recently found out there's one for the GBA and one for the Gamecube, and they seem pretty cute. Are there any guides or anything to help play them?
i currently own the gamecube game, but ive not been able to play it, since you need a japanese gamecube to do so. i havent gotten ahold of the GBA game yet either
i do know they both use quite a bit of japanese text and would be a bit difficult to play if you dont know japanese, and there are no guides online. id love to investigate it whenever i can find a gamecube and GBA to use
#i had the manuals auto translated but that was all on my old laptop which i currently do not have#sorry i cannot be of more help D:#mutsu water looper

Do you know if japanese mutsus use the same 3 C batteries that American ones do? I got my friend a japanese mutsu tank (the big one) so we can be mutsu buddies, and I'm not sure if I should get the same batteries for it that I have.
yes, they do! both american and japanese mutsus are the exact the same, save for the fact that the japanese version has different symbols on the feeding buttons (they are vitamins instead of little pictures of food) and the different name.
the smaller, round bowl shaped tanks, take 4 double AAs

im particularly sad about losing a little flash element that had translations for mutsu sounds, you could click buttons and it would tell you what mutsu sounds mean. i know where it is, just dont know if ill be able to get it working in any way
i remember saving as much as i could back when i was still crawling for mutsu info, but sadly it seems like a lot of information on mutsu has been lost to the death of flash. a lot of the old mutsu websites require flash to even be viewable
luckily, i have most of it saved. but there is some stuff i cant get back :(

hi there! im uni, most know me as @everestwhite
for the past couple of months, ive been idly working on a project called mutsuhome! mutsuhome is going to be a website dedicated to documenting all information on the mutsu water looper (aka mutsu the curious little fish) and all of its related merchandise. because i think theyre really cute and theres surprisingly a lot to learn about them.
this tumblr is going to be for any updates on the website as i work on it, currently the website is extremely early in development (doesnt even have a homepage!) but you can see it here, and look at the adorable logo i made. https://mutsuhome.neocities.org/
ive been collecting a ton of information and i cant wait to share it with you all!
