An idea that's been stirring in my head for a while, a softer, unassuming Lamb that was previously already raised in a cultish environment, so they saw the culling of her kind as an omen.

Though, once paying for her sins in the execution, the suffering did not end, and they were sought to be a vessel for Death itself. However, over time the crown began to influence her, whispering like the serpent to Eve and convincing them to overthrow the betrayed bishop. "Laine", as she named herself, now listens to the crown as an advisor, and is revered by the cult as a goddess of salvation.

No one questions where the former god of death might have vanished to.

I'm so sick and weary of logging on here and seeing creators I adore, and people I don't even know alike, apologising for not uploading or basically begging for a break like they're not a human with needs.

You're literally a human being, with thoughts, feelings and emotions. You're not an art factory, you're not some positivity pump, you're nothing other than a genuine human being living a genuine life experience.

There should be, and realistically is, no shame in just fucking leaving if you want to. There's no contract you signed, there's no permit you bought or lease you hold. You're a person who decided to share their art with the world, FOR FREE, and garnered an audience of faceless people behind screens who enjoy that art because YOU wanted to make it and share it.

Let me be frank as best I can. You owe the internet nothing, you owe the world nothing and you owe yourself EVERYTHING. You are the only person who can live your life, you are the only person who can create the things you create and you are the only motherfucker that should matter to you when you create those things.

Art is supposed to be a wondrous joy that inspires the mind and indulges ideas that other creatures can't even comprehend. It's supposed to be a magical and fun fantasy land where anything is possible because you make it possible. It's not a 9-5 unless you make it one, so stop making your hobby a 9-5 unless you're getting paid for it, and even then put in limits because no job that you choose to do should end in you burnt out and wishing you'd never started in the first place.

Remember when we were all kids? When we all drew and wrote for fun simply because we could? We'd show people are shit and be like "Mama look!" and she'd clap her hands all proud. But she wasn't why you picked up that crayon, you just did it for you because you wanted to make some shit.

That's how it should be. That's how it is unless you let those fake ass numbers on a screen rule your life. It's all meaningless, the praise may be genuine but that doesn't mean you should spend your whole life running in circles and performing for an audience.

Be a human being! Be an artist! Fuck everyone else!

Here it is! Narinder Maid Cafe! Done before the end of the year too! Thank you for everyone who submitted! If you didn't get the chance to join, don't worry. We're already planning something for next year with Lamb designs! Gotta say, it was SO MUCH FUN drawing all these different designs! I find it so fascinating how many takes people have on Narinder. Honestly loved every single one. I think the most interesting theme is how pretty much all of them have wrist scars, even without that being in his end game design. Also, for the two refs I got that were uncolored, I just used canon Narinder's pallet. I hope everyone enjoys and leaves a 5 star review on Google for the Narinder Maid Cat Cafe. They accidentally scheduled 16 employees at once and have no customers!!!

Super simple little relationship chart for my AU! I didn't wanna fill the image with text so here's some notes:

Narinder is generally indifferent towards his siblings as a whole, he never formed any meaningful bonds with anyone but Shamura and after the betrayal and locking him away their relationship became even more strained. He actively avoids them, and will only really spare Leshy or Heket the time of day.

Shamura is overall very friendly and loving towards their siblings considering their upbringing together. They are well aware of the strain on Narinder so they respectfully keep distance, while they tolerate Leshy, mostly due to the youngest bishop's tendency to not listen to orders.

Kallamar will only really humor Heket most of the time, as the two have a close relationship similar to Shamura and Narinder before the fall of the death god. They are each other's confidant and trust secrets to one another on the daily when Kallamar wishes to gossip about happenings in the cult grounds.

Heket is very aloof in her ways at times towards her siblings but has always shown fondness and worry for the eldest that took her in. She's forever indebted to Shamura for holding her together through hard times and the fear she often snuffs out to the public.

Leshy, finally, is the most indifferent towards the majority of his family, except for Narinder. The two bonded at a young age when they were infant gods, and though their relationship has become strained in the years since, Leshy never feels like a bother around his brother.

Folks in the server have been doing the ship meme so I wanted to shoot for it with my narilamb! This is of course far into the future of what I have planned but here are some notes

Due to their size, Liam is often the one who is the big spoon despite Nari's protests, both are extremely touch starved.

Liam is quicker to lend clothing while Nari steals them into his own tent to make a nest, the lion will never admit he likes the scent left along those robes and fleeces

Narinder does not find use in pet names, he will only address Liam by their name, "Lamb", or "Leader" usually, while Liam is much more affectionate and will often use pet names for their various partners like "dear", "darling", "doll", ect.

Both are quite introverted, of course the Lamb will attend to their flock and perform sermon, but aside from that can be just as aloof as the former God of Death.

Both are persons of few words...majority of their acts of affection will be through physical touch or gifts.

Narinder would take a crush to the grave if he could. Liam was the one to come to Nari about his feelings once they settled their differences.

Both kill bugs without hesitation.

Silly goofy the car cannot drive.

Narinder long forgot how to provide meals for himself after so many years going without food (This would prove to be an issue upon receiving Aym and Baal later), but Liam on the other hand is a constant reminder to the former god that his mortal form will require sustenance.

Once settled and comfortable with one another, both are extremely affectionate. Liam doesn't mind PDA in the slightest and will kiss and hold Nari at any moment, meanwhile the lion is more so doing this as an act of dominance, glaring daggers at the people of the flock to show the Lamb is his own.

Liam is of course the more protective one, having to show Narinder that though he is mortal, he is not invincible now. There are multiple occasions where the Lamb pulls him back from near death situations while outside on crusades together.

Narinder is no stranger to suitors and had many admirers before his fall to the Old Faith, but never acted on them due to his own stubbornness. The Lamb is quick to please if someone is interested in them by comparison, taking many spouses and partners as long as they are polyamorous like them, seeking to avoid jealousy.

As for the levels....

Thousands of years being restrained and suddenly being given a mortal body with hormones does things to a man. Liam is simply...a sheep, which are quite amorous creatures.

The Lamb doesn't find themselves in many awkward instances, often brushing off any feelings as such and moving on to different topics to push the conversation forward. Narinder, on the other hand, struggles with social interactions most of the time, hissing and swiping claws at anyone who slight inconveniences him.

Liam is not one to get jealous easy...there are rare occurrences during his rut season where things can get dicey, but for the most part they are the more level headed of the two. Narinder, however, is extremely jealous of anyone flirting or coming near the Lamb, feeling a right to the entirety of Liam's affection after everything he did to secure it. They squabble over this often, which just ends up in Nari curled around Liam with that tail flicking after tiring himself out during an argument.
