      “ if there is one certainty in my life, it is that i will survive while those around me perish. ”  rebecca, robert, tommy, moira --- the list goes on & on. it feels more like a curse than a blessing some days, though he supposes he can’t quite complain that he’s alive when everyone else is long gone. but each death means a lost relationship, a lost alliance. it meant that NEW ones must be formed.

      “ you seem as though you’re cut from the same cloth. destined to live while others die. SOMETIMES by your own hand, though that’s not necessarily a given. ”  he’s heard stories of the speedster through the grapevine, & he feels that he knows all too well what he’s like.  “ you & i see what must be done & we follow through. that’s more than i can say of HEROES & vigilantes these days. ”

      oliver isn’t the only one he means anymore. team arrow, team flash, & all those in between, none of them have the GUTS to do what must be done. sometimes, killing was a necessary evil. sometimes, people deserved to die.  “ i believe we may have some shared interests. perhaps, when you can spare a moment, we could discuss what some of them are. ”
