// DECREASED ACTIVITY NOTICE: hey y’all so I regrettably am writing this because here lately I’ve just been extremely busy with work, oxford, recovery, etc. and I need to refocus and regroup for a while. Now, with that being said, I don’t want to go full fledged hiatus mode as I know I will want to pop in from time to time just to do stuff and things or message people etc. But I do need to kind of take some time to refocus my energies and whatnot. BLUE EYES MOVE FROM THE PAPERWORK she had set before her, intelligence information on a senator she was planning on buttering up to be in favor of the Heaton-Harris bill, to the person before her at her doorway. A heavy sigh falls from her lips. She could not afford any distractions right now. She was in a pivotal point, only needing a few more votes in favor of Heaton-Harris for her to be done here, for her to win. “If you don’t have good news for me, quite frankly, I don’t wanna hear it.” She was inches away from getting Florida, a radical concept given their position --- but Elizabeth Sloane never took no for an answer. This showed thoroughly in her work, and her actions.

HAND HELD HIGH, RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER FACE. She watches as the dying butterfly slowly creeps along and she watches it, an amused smile tugging at the corner of her lips. As its life fades away, her own smile fades into that of a manner akin to nonchalance. Death does not frighten her, for it happens all around her --- sometimes even, right beneath her feet or even by her own hand. Eyes flicker to the entity, the reaper. Her smile returned. “Hello, old friend.” Of course, they had never actually met yet, but the metaphor is present. “Might I help you with something?” The question comes with a slight accentuation.

A PENCIL TAPS RHYTHMICALLY against a wooden desk. Murphy is hard a work. Equations are put before her, in various formulas and modifications made to them. Groaning, she put a hand to her temple in hopes that perhaps, maybe just this once, she would be able to figure it out. She was so close, so close to figuring it out she could almost taste it. But there was something she was missing, something wasn’t quite right. But what? Frustration and exhaustion builds, it creeps slowly but it’s notable, becoming more so the longer she stares aimlessly at the work before her. As she sits back, wanting desperately to have a reprieve from this all, she noticed the stranger before her --- and instantly, she’s to her feet; defensive. “How the hell did you get in here?”
