on time & with a gift in her hand, she smiled for the press blowing a kiss and taking in the sheer number of people here elizabeth would be proud. walking in - the all white clothes, the gossip & the reminder of death - it was a little too much. she smiled as she gave her donation to one of the workers, wrapped in a red bow — her signature. she reached for a drink, looking around for her friends. her brown eyes darted around until she spotted them: surprisingly alone. without second thoughts, the cheery ceo walked over to them, her sweetheart smile adorned on her face. “ hey you! long time no see, have you seen mary mcleary’s outfit ? it’s  absolutely gorgeous ! “

Finding a quiet place to smoke was harder than expected, everyone and their mother had come to the party looking for SOMETHING it seemed. A story, connections, people, the truth, money, recognition – Mary had only come to support her brother who had decided to drag her along. Taking a hit from her pen ( because sober was very far from where she was aiming to be at a stuffy event like this ) she turned in the direction of footsteps. “If you want a hit … you’ve got to tell me your favorite conspiracy theory. And no, I’m tired of hearing jerk offs talk about the Kennedy Assasination, like, bloody hell, that’s basic. I knew about Kennedy conspiracies when I was like, five.” Mary took another long hit, before taking a sip from her champagne flute and letting the smoke billow out from her nose. “So?”
