     [ i’m so sorry guys but after a lot of consideration and all that, i’ve decided to archive this blog! it’s been up and running for quite a long time now but i’m not exactly satisfied with it because DAMN is it messy :c ]

The name alone was enough to draw out a growl from the shadow. Oh that cursed woman. The one that helped him yet always gave him lip. It was enough to cause his emotions to swirl. "Yes! That blasted woman! It’s as if all she spews is sarcasm and insults!" Though this only made him curious about how this woman knew her? And why they looked so identical? Relatives perhaps? Or something more than that?

"But, how do you know the woman? And why are you so much more….formal than she is?"

          ♕ —— ;; ❝Yes, she is rather...❞ The queen trails off and pauses for a moment to consider what she is going to say next. How is she going to accurately capture her clone's behaviour without indirectly insulting and badmouthing her at the same time? ❝...irksome, is she not?❞ (Nailed it.)

          ♕ —— ;; Sapphire hues flickering in a series of blinks, the brunette ever so slightly cants her head to the left at the other's question, and she once again ceases speaking to contemplate the structure of her next few sentences. ❝I...suppose you could say we are kinsfolk. She is, for a lack of better words, my ❛clone❜. Though I do not exactly know how she was created nor why she came about, what I do know is that I was used as a...basis for her creation. Because of this, we both share facets that make us, as one might say, ❛twins❜; our appearance, for example.❞

          ♕ —— ;; The man's second question prompts the tips of pointed ears to rise in amusement and the corners of roseate lips to curl upwards, and it is not a second later before those very same fleshy appendages are parted to give way to bright laughter and, eventually, her answer: ❝Though it is only my natural disposition, maybe it is due to my upbringing? Or perhaps it is simply because of my métier? After all, a queen should never be discourteous or ill-mannered around her guests.❞

Her thanks was heard though went ignored by the man. The shadow was too busy wriggling about to acknowledge her words. He seemed to have saved them, but at what cost? After a while, he ceased his seemingly futile movement. They were jammed in too tight. Biting his lower lips, he glanced down at the woman that was pressed against him. "Maybe we would of had better luck out there with the rock slide." It was a stupid assumption, but he was convinced that it would have been better than being stuck here. Of course the fact that Zelina had frozen back there seemed to put a slight dent in his thought. He tried his best to think of any possible solutions but with no avail. The fact that he’d never heard of anything like this happening to anyone didn’t help either. His attention turned to the jagged wall behind his companion. He wore his shield, so he didn’t need to worry about the rocky surface behind him. She, on the other hand, was pressed against the wall with little protection against it. As an act of intended kindness, the shade’s hands snaked around the woman, and pulled her closer to him. He left his arms behind her back in order to provide some sort of cushion for her. "Any ideas on how to get out?" He muttered out through flushed cheeks.

         ♛ —— ;; ❝If getting crushed to death by a bunch of rocks is a better idea than being stuck in a cave to you, then your head really has been screwed on the wrong way, mate.❞ The sentence left her mouth through gritted teeth and was accompanied by a series of hisses and grunts. ❝I gotta admit, though,❞ she ceased speaking for a moment to make another (failed) attempt to increase the distance between them, brows furrowing and lips pursing before they parted again: ❝this...wasn't really what I had in mind when I decided to tag along.❞

     ( Silence -- save for the shuffling of boots and rustling of clothes -- was what followed Zelina's words once they rolled off her tongue, and though any sort of quietude would usually calm or comfort the clone, this one seemed to do the exact opposite. It simply perturbed her even more -- their situation was already unpleasant enough, they didn't need an awkward silence to make it even more so! )

     ( And so, with drooping ears and averted eyes, the female cleared her throat and opened her mouth to say something -- anything -- to clear up the awkward tension between them. Or rather, she wanted to, but didn't have the chance to. For it was at that exact moment that her travel companion decided to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her into his chest (or perhaps it was him pulling himself into her chest?). )

        ♛ —— ;; ❝Wh-what are you doing--?!❞ She hadn't been blushing before, but she most certainly was, now.

     ( His question would have to go unanswered for now, for the woman was much too flustered to do (much less say) anything other than stupidly gawk at him. )
