Erik stares at him for a moment blinking. When had he shown that bit of weakness that he was feeling, that hunger for contact. Well, if Asriel was going to volunteer to give him that contact then he wasn't going to turn him down. He walks across to him, opening his arms and wrapping them around the other man, bringing him in close to him. "I didn't know that I had shown my mood Asriel but thank you for this."

"Yes, I am strong enough to finish it and I will." Erik looks at Gabriel with a smirk "What did you think that I was losing my conviction or that I just didn't have the strength to fight anymore? I still believe that mutants will only have a chance to live if humans are out of the picture. I will see my dreams become reality Gabriel or I will die in the process." He gets up from the chair that he's been sitting in through this speech and starts to pace "I would like to think that I am strong enough for people to follow me because of it and they have Gabriel. Many of them have and it is time to make war for our future and I will also be strong enough to carry through with that."

Desmond Quinn had made a rather hasty universe jump and appeared about 10 feet above the ground in a flash of blue light. He fell awkwardly flapping his wings awkwardly before landing rather roughly. By the time he picked himself up there was a crowd with cameras pointed at him as he folded his wings away and tried to find a way threw the crowd

Erik who had been watching the whole thing unfold with a fair bit of caution starts walking towards the other clearing the way as he goes. When he gets to him he gestures back the way he had come. "If you want you can come this way with me. I could use the company and you look like you could use a friend." He was also trying to get the man somewhere out of sight of all the cameras that were being pointed at him "I know a place where there are no people with cameras to take your picture when you don't want them too. Come with me if you wish."

"That's alright most people do. I don't know if it's the tv or the camera angles that people use when taping me but I do seem much taller than I am in real life." Erik looks at the woman in front of him and cocks an eyebrow at her "I'm sure that you didn't come here just to say that to me so I will ask you what I can help you with. I might not be able to do anything but then again it's possible that I can." He tilts his head to the side as he shrugs a bit

"They were right too. I tend to turn and bury knives in people's backs quite easily if I think there is good reason for it. Trust is a weakness that leaves you open and could get you killed, that's why I don't trust that many people and why the ones that I do have earned that trust over the years." Erik looks at her with narrowed eyes then turns from her to look out of the window that he was looking out of when she came in the room "I would tell you to trust no one but even the most hardened of people need allies."

"I suppose it is. I only wear it when I'm going to make trouble and that's not all the time surprisingly." Erik chuckles then extends a hand to her "My name is Erik and I would like for you to help me cause some trouble if you think it would be fun." He cocks an eyebrow at her then with a bit of challenge in his eyes "Or I could go find someone else to have fun with and you can stay here all on your lonesome. That would be a fate worse than death though so I would prefer you except my offer."

Erik laughs and the floating metallic balls land in the palm of his hand "Nice to know that my mutation can be thought of as a magic trick but it's not that simple I'm afraid." He looks at her and then smirks "What makes me different from other humans is that I was born with the X gene which makes me superior." Erik then pinches the bridge of his nose and sighs "But human's don't see it that way, they see something to fear and in some cases something to hunt down and kill."

Erik was going out to get food that day and had asked Tommy to come along and help out. He knew that he wouldn't be able to do it on his own without taking over 2 or 3 hours because he didn't know the layout of the store, usually leaving this sort of thing for someone else to do. The ride to the store was silent with neither one of them saying much. Erik was starting to grow uncomfortable by the time they reached the store. Tommy practically shot out of the car the moment it stopped and ran for the doors, leaving a very confused Erik in his wake just trying to keep up.

When he got inside the store he found Tommy waiting for him inside the front doors. He gets a cart and tells the other to take half the list and he would take half so they could get this over with. In half the time it would have taken if he were by himself they had all the food in the cart. Erik rolls it up to the front to one of the check out lanes and starts unloading it when people start screaming. He looks up and sees that a man with a gun has come in the store and intends to rob it. "Give me the money from the registers and everything will be just fine, if you don't then I'll start shooting."

All around them registers are beginning to be emptied but evidently not fast enough because the man aims the gun at Erik and says "Time's up, should of gone faster." Then he pulls the trigger, sending a bullet flying at him. Just then he sees Tommy blur out of the corner of his eye and then the man who was robbing the store runs out with the money. When he looks back he find that Tommy is on the floor and bleeding. Erik goes over and wraps him gently in his arms, holding him close to his body "Your mother is going to kill me for this and she'd be right to. They're calling an ambulance now so we'll get you fixed up right as rain in no time. Why did you do this when you know I can deflect bullets Tommy?"

Today, Erik thought would be a good day to go to the park for a walk, so he started to get ready to go, wondering if Wanda would like to go with him. He stops by her room and tells her what he's going to do and asks if she want to come with him or not. This is how he finds himself in his favorite park in New York, a nice quiet place away from all the kids at the school. Erik glances over at her to see if she is enjoying herself and it seems that she is.

He then gets the feeling of eyes watching them and stops walking, his relaxed demeanor gone and he tenses ready for a fight. Erik looks to Wanda and narrows his eyes a bit as she walks past him, not paying attention to him being stopped. "Wanda, there is someone here watching us and they are not friendly. I want you to get behind me and stay there." As he says this a woman walks out of the bushes pointing a gun at him. She says "You killed my brother and now it's your turn to die." He holds up his hands in a warding off gesture but what comes out of his mouth serves to provoke the woman "I've killed a lot of people, your brother was just another number for me to claim."

Erik then sees the woman pull the trigger and everything else goes in slow motion. Before he even gets the chance to deflect the bullet with his mutation, his daughter is there in front of him, taking the bullet into her own body. The woman runs from the scene and he goes over to Wanda, taking her damaged body in his arms and cradling her to his body "Why would you do something like that for me? I haven't been there for you as a good father should and now that I'm just getting to know you, you go and do this. Don't worry Wanda, I've got my phone and will get an ambulance to you as soon as one can get here."
