“Even the Forest Pays Taxes” | a (very) short film of a fox on his commune back home. A creature of nature now working in a concrete city to keep the bills paid. Made in Opentoonz. Full completion took 3 weeks. I, Cal, hold full copyright of said film and prohibit the redistribution/reposting of said film without my explicit permission.

I’m not entirely happy with the outcome, and dont think it is that successful in showing my knowledge in animation. But considering time constraints, I think I did alright.

A young Ecaflip pirate, captain of her ragtag crew and strangely impressive ship, finds herself in the ruins of a long lost people. Her trusty sword, with her for years, vibrates in its sheath, leaping out of her hands towards a broken, moss covered wall.

As she struggles to hold it back, the point of the blade scratching the old stone, the faint outline of a figure stares at her in disbelief.
